Another ordinary day of school. Kurenai was walking home, deciding to go on her own. Having friends for a change was nice, but she wanted time to think. I need to find the right person to help me with... She was cut off after accidentally bumping into someone, ending up knocked over in the process. "Oh, I'm so sorry!" She apologized, pulling herself up. The man glared at her, and continued on his way. Ugh, people these days... I'll never find who I'm looking for. I hope he's had at least some luck by now...

"Very well then..." Hayate said rather awkwardly. His plan was to have Haseo beat him into the wall to an extent where he could eventually escape his grasp and let the wall topple on top of him. It seems that the plan, however, would not come to fruition.

Kurenai sighed. "Blue can be unpredictable sometimes, I guess..." She pointed out.

"At least we got him to calm down..." Rikka added. "Oh, sorry, Cadmium Limit. I didn't think he'd just quit the match like that... I shouldn't have interrupted your fight."

"It's alright... he was getting careless anyway. Though, I feel like I should take some of the blame as well due to my, well, banter, so to speak..." Hayate said, now a little guilty that he decided to use insults as means to win his match. He was too focused on victory to think of the consequences to such a strategy.

"Well... That might be true, but he also needs to try to work on his temper." Kurenai said. "He's been this way as long as I've known him... It might be good for a power boost, but it's not really a trait fitting for a King."

"So... Now what do we do?" Rikka asked, sounding a bit nervous after Haseo's outburst.

"I don't know... do you think we could continue our training?" Hayate asked somewhat reluctantly.

"I guess we could..." Kurenai sighed. She wasn't really sure how exactly to train Hayate, though. He'd already fought her, Haseo, and Rikka. She had a feeling he needed to get some real battle experience... "You know... Actually, give me some time to think up a new training plan. I'll have it by tomorrow, and we can continue then." She told Hayate. "See you then!" She waved, and disappeared.

"I guess that's it for the day, then..." Rikka said. "I'll see you tomorrow, Cadmium Limit."

"Ah, yes. Very well, Teacher," Hayate said to Kurenai, bowing. "And good bye to you as well, Miss Azure Serpent," Hayate added, answering Rikka's good-bye, logging off Brain Burst.

The next day at school, the three students all sat in the cafeteria once again. Kurenai tried to look calm, but she was excited. Heh... I can't wait to see the looks on those girls now that Hayate and Rikka are doing their little act." She began to smirk at the thought of seeing them freak out over the incident yesterday.

Haseo seemed a little upset, but was still paying attention to his surroundings. He sighed. She really acts like a kid sometimes... The real Kurenai is nothing like her Brain Burst avatar.

Hayate sat quietly as Anko and the other girls eyed him and Kurenai from separate tables. Anko sat with Yumi and Kimiko a few tables away, with the others sitting in other table surrounding them.

Kurenai noticed the other girls eyeing herself and Hayate. Heh... This is perfect. She looked straight at Hayate. "So... You and Rikka, huh? Not quite what I'd ever expect from you..." She spoke in a teasing tone.

Hayate almost choked on his food when he heard that. He forgot that they were still putting on that act.

Meanwhile, Anko and the fangirl's ears pricked up at Kurenai's blabbing, now paying full attention to the conversation.

"Uh... i-it's going well." Hayate said.

"That's good to know..." Kurenai looked back at Anko and the others, noticing she'd attracted their attention. Hm... I have an idea that could make things fun. "I'm sitll surprised, though... I didn't think she'd ever be the one you'd choose. I guess you two both are bad at relationships, but still... I thought you wouldn't ever want someone like her."

"Wait, what's that supposed to mean?" Hayate said, now questioning how Kurenai's comments were supposed to be "helping" him. Meanwhile, Anko and the others were somewhat furious at Kurenai's prattle, but then again, they were furious at her from just sitting at the same table on Hayate in the first place.

"Oh, you know... You've got so many girls around you, and of all the ones to choose, it's her? I'm just confused about why you ended up doing that." She kept looking back up at Anko and the others, and tried to not burst out laughing. She knew she'd probably get in trouble with them, but she wanted to get them mad. It would help keep them off of Hayate's case, after all.

"W-well... she's wholesome. I like that in a girl." Hayate said.

"He likes wholesome girls?! I never knew that!" Kimiko silently cried.

"That Rikka girl isn't wholesome at all though! She's ugly and dumb!" Yumi said back.

"Quiet, you two!" Anko scolded them, as they all stayed quiet and listened more.

"Hm... Wholesome, you say?" Kurenai responded. "Should have figured that from you..." She paused for a moment, before standing up and leaning over the table so her face was only a few inches away from Hayate's. "So... Have you two kissed yet? You two seem shy when you're with us, but I bet that you're a lot more calm when you're alone..." She continued her teasing.

Hayate blushed up for two reasons, both because of Kurenai; the first was her getting to close to him, and the second was bringing up something like that to him in public. He could feel a frog hopping up and down in his throat as he tried to speak. "U-uh.... well..."

Yumi's and Kimiko's jaws dropped onto the table. "K-kissed?! Oh, she better have not!" Yumi said.

"Yeah, her ugly lips aren't worthy of touching Hayate's!" Kimiko agreed. Even Anko was starting to lose her patience.

Kurenai could notice that the other girls were getting more and more angered by her teasing. This is perfect...

Haseo was beginning to get tired of Kurenai's game, with the idea of Hayate and Rikka being together still not making him very happy. "I'll be back..." He stood up, and began to walk around the table.

"What, can't tell? It's okay, Hayate. You can trust me-" Kurenai began to continue making Hayate more nervous, when Haseo accidentally bumped into her. She ended up falling over the table, crashing straight to the ground with Hayate... And, due to the closeness of their faces, she'd managed to beat Rikka to the exact thing she'd been teasing Hayate about. She was completely stunned, her face slowly turning a dark shade of red. I-I didn't plan for this to happen...

Hayate's mind could not even begin to process what was going on at first. He just lay on the ground, trapped under Kurenai's body, and looked into her eyes as they were both kissing one another.

Meanwhile, Anko and the other girls... sat and watched... Anko's eyes were hidden under her hair and her mouth was drawn into a firm frown. Meanwhile, the other girls were seething red, their eyes twitching and their ears looking like they'd blow out steam. If Kurenai could see them, it'd be like they were burning holes into her very frame until she disintegrated into ash.

Kurenai found herself unable to move, too shocked by the situation to be capable of any rational thought.

Haseo, on the other hand, looked slightly angered. "First Rikka, and now Kurenai... Ugh, should've known that there was something going on between those two." He muttered, and continued on his way. "Not my place to stop them, I guess..."

Hayate mustered enough grit in himself to at least move his lips off Kurenai's.

"T-Teacher, if you can, then please, w-would you mind getting off me?" Hayate said, remembering how nervous he was the last time this happened and now feeling a hundred times worse in this particular scenario.

Kurenai snapped out of it when she heard Hayate's voice. "... O-oh... Right." She moved off of Hayate, and stood up. She looked over at Anko's group, noticing how angered they were. ... That went much worse than I'd intended... She sat back down in a seat, trying to hide the fact that she was blushing so much. She kept her head down, trying to avoid the gaze of the other people in the room.

Hayate did the same as Kurenai, as Anko and the fangirl brigade kept boiling over in their seats.

Anko had enough lady balls to go and confront Kurenai about what happened, but in front of Hayate and the public, it wouldn't seem right, so she calmed down. Yuki, Kimiko and the others noticed Anko's calming down and decided to do the same, as if they all had some kind of mental link which allowed all of them to know what the other was thinking.

Speaking of the public, other people in the lunchroom started to noticed the two's mishap, and starting gossiping and/or chuckling about it.

"Hey, Hayate, Kurenai! Get a room!" One random guy shouted out, causing an uproar from some of the tables around him, causing Hayate to feel lower than the lowest branch on a tree.

Kurenai's head sunk lower after hearing the new joke. No one's ever going to shut up about this... She sighed. What do I do now...? She fought an urge to look up and see if Anko and the other girls were coming over to fight her now, figuring that looking at everyone laughing would make the situation worse.

Anko and the others felt the best course of action was to "retreat", one reason because they felt bad for Hayate and did not want to make the situation worse, and two... well, because anything they could try to do would probably make the situation worse, especially since they were all pretty much boiling over while trying to hide it.

Hayate could not take much more of it. "Psst. Teacher. Let's just leave. But, let's go in opposite directions so that people might give us a break. I'll go out to the main hall, and you go out the other exit to the outside. Alright?" Hayate whispered to Kurenai.
