I plan on buying a 3DS XL the day after thanksgiving (Black Friday), and I was just wondering what memory card I should get for it?I heard that the 32GB Sandisk Class 4 is the best 3DS XL memory card, unless I'll only need 16GB?I don't plan on buying any DLC or eShop/online exclusives, just physical retail games.

Essentially any standard SD card will work, so pick whatever fits your budget and has enough space. I use an 8GB, and that fits like five games on it. A sixteen would work wonderfully, and a 32GB might just fit nearly all of the bigger games of the eShop.

As a 3DS owner, I will say, get a 4 or 8 gig max. I love digital copy a now because of my 3DS, because I don't need to rely on the phisical copy to play it. Not saying don't buy phisical release, but games like Pokémon X/Y you don't not wanna have on you. Plus the EShop has got some great demos and free apps. 4 gig is all you'll probably need, IMO, but 8 gig is nice for getting those extras and things. Plus more room for just silly stuff.

I have a 16GB memory card and it holds a good amount of digital games and physical games data. I think 16GB would be a great choice if you ever decide to download anything from the eShop; better safe than ever. Having 16GB is pretty average and 32GB is for like people that want to download or save/play a lot of games.
