You probably are thinking of 'Starnosed Mole, or Yeti Crab, or Blobfish, or Narwhal, or the Aye-aye', which several people put on their list of weird animals.
No.
Today, I'm going to show you the TRULY bizarre animals. You might want to think about how Mother Nature creates these.
-The Somewhat Cute Things-
Red-lipped Batfish
This sucker (or should I say, terrible swimming fish) is on a lot of lists. But I feel it's STILL not that well known. And thus, this is probably one of the more likely ones to be known. By the way, this thing is probably the only one that has nothing interesting to talk about.
The Panda Ant
Okay, this isn't really something on it's own. It's a Multillidae. Those insects can be the colour of velvet, but also (they're most commonly reddish orange, like velvet I believe) they can be black, silver, white or gold, oddly. The females resemble hairy/fuzzy ants. Also, they're supposed to have extremely painful stings. And they're wasps, not ants. I think...
Pink Fairy Armadillo
This 'lil guy basically pretty kinda lives underground. It looks more like a fuzzy rat, gerbil, hamster and fluffy guinea pig all bred together then the offspring picked up what was left of a discarded hardened rusty armadillo's shell. Or you could just say it's a fluffy mole rat without the buck teeth that grew a back and headplate fused together. (Also, I do actually like this thing. It's so adorable. I was not actually making fun of it.)
Lowland Streaked Tenrec
So, a Tenrec is a mammal. THIS is a Subspecies. It lives in Madagascar and Tenrecs resemble hedgehogs, shrews, opossums, and sometimes even...otters? This is the only mammal that uses (or CAN use) Stridulation (no, not another animal) for generating sound, which is more associated with snakes and insects.
The Sea swallow, Blue angel, Blue glaucus, Blue dragon, Blue sea slug or Blue ocean slug
Whew. It's a species of blue sea slug. It has a gas filled sac on it's stomach. Uh...not much more info...
-Abominations of Nature/WTF is this/Please, get me away Category-
Mantis Shrimp
These are also called 'Prawn Killers, Sea Locusts or...Eugh...Thumb Splitters. Apparently it's one of the most common tropical predators.
Poodle Moth
This is one the things we're not fully sure that exists. Uh...
Runnin' out of things to say about these animals.
Pacu Fish
Apparently this thing is also called "Ball Cutter", because apparently fishermen were worried about their testicles...I'm a boy and...ew. Just, why make that connection?
The Giant Clawed Crab of Southern Asia
Okay. Not really. It's actually called Japenese Spider Crab. And thankfully the last thing on our WTF category. I'm not exactly sure this is real, either. It looks like a Silent Hill monster too.
-Nature was Drunk/Actual Animal Fusions-
The Patagonian Mara
Deer + Bunny = Pat your gonian back Rabbuck...I mean, Capybara?
Maned Wolf
No. I'm not kidding. This thing lives. It breathes. It's an actual creature. It's a Candid, and the largest one in South America apparently. It looks like a Deer and Red Fox fused together, but it's a wolf. Also, dunno about you guys, but this thing totally looks like Dougal Dixon made it up. Good on ya, Dougal.
Gerenuk
Sigh. We're finally at the last thing.
It's...I have...I don't...it's just...what it looks like.
Because KH13 won't let me post certain animal pictures, no matter what the extension, you'll just have to look them up yourself.

How many did you guys know? Be honest.
