Like most kids in the 00s decade, i was a fan of the Harry Potter series. I have seen every movie and read all of the books.

This topic here is going to show you an idea for a reboot fanfic of the Harry Potter saga that will be more in the style of Lovecraftian epics like Hellboy.

Here is a rough synopsis i wrote:

Orphan boy Harry Potter has lived most of his childhood without knowing that his parents were some of the best alchemists in the world

At the age of 15 he receives a mysterious invitation to join an alchemist school that happens to be located in another dimension

The school was founded for one reason: train the next generation of alchemists to protect the world incase a major apocalypse would ever happen

What Harry and the other students at the school don’t know is that a cosmic entity (Voldemort) is destroying the universe as we know it, and it will be up to them to put a stop to Voldemort’s path of destruction

Harry Potter doesn't need a reboot. It's fine as it is now, I feel anything more would probably make it worse. Where else could they have gone, or go? Not to mention that rough synopsis you have there is pretty much still the same plot line that the original series had, so people might as well just reread the series. A reboot would have to be much more different, such as how the Devil May Cry reboot pretty much changed everything except for the characters and their roles. If you want more of Harry, I suggest you go read some fanfiction, if you can sift through the poorly written ones to find one worth reading.

what do you suggest i have in the story?

Well, from what I saw, it's still pretty much the same concept.>Harry gets a letter>Goes to Hogwarts>Has troublesome years>Learns about Voldemort>Goes to war with VoldemortIf you mean you're actually going to write this, I suggest thinking of different ways it could have ended up or how it could go based on the universe it's set in. If you stick to the same formula, it's bound to end up the same way the books did, and you'd essentially have a rewrite of the series. Heck, you could write Harry into being a central antagonist and Tom Riddle being the protagonist. If you're going to write it, it's all up to you.
