(Fong x Mammon it is?)

 

Fong sighed, fidgetting nervously as he stood outside the door of the Varia HQ. The breeze blew slightly and the male clenched the white daisies behind his back tightly. This was more nerve wracking then he thought.

Bani yawned, checking out the window for the mail, noticing a visitor outside the door.

 

"Um...?"

Fong gave a charming smile, tilting his head to the side slightly.

"Hello, may I speak to Viper miss?" He asked politely, opening his brown eyes softly. He noted that she was Bani, the Snow Guardian of the Varia.

She groaned. "MAAAAAAMMOOOOOOOON. GENTLEMAN CAAAAAAAAAAALLEEEEEEERRRR." Mammon came down the stairs, saw Fong, and turned back.

Fong frowned at Mammon's action, slumping his shoulders. This had become routine since he was coming to the base once every week so far. He handed the flawless daisies to Bani, smiling again.

"Please make sure Viper get's these." With that he left.

"No." She said simply, knowing that he really didn't WANT the flowers in the first place. So she threw them out the window.

Fong didn't hear her being he WALKED AWAY. However, Kat from the garden did. She saw the crumbled daisies and gathered them quickly. Hiding them from Bani as she went up the stairs to Mammon's room.

Mammon was in the emo corner, in fetal position, chillin' with his Girugamesh CD.

Kat smiled as she sat next to him, holding the flowers out to him.

"That boy brought them again for you." She explained, poking his arm.

"Um...thank you?" He accepted it, laying the bouquet down next to him. That guy had been coming to the mansion for a long time now, and he didn't understand it. Nobody could REALLY keep this up. At least not for much longer. A normal person would know when to give up.

Kat sighed...looking over at the teen sadly.

"Why don't you give him a chance?" She questioned, looking over Mammon curiously.

Honestly, he had been debating whether to do so or not. Just to get him to quit bothering him though. "I don't know..."

Kat shrugged, getting up and pulling out a vase from Mammon's desk and going into his bathroom to fill it up with water. She took the flowers from him, placing them in the said vase.

"Do what you want. Just don't be upset if he stops coming around to see you." After saying that, a shrill yell of:

"I SAW IT FIRST!" and:

"No it's MINE!" set her down the stairs. It was always Bel and Bani...

(Lol what would Bel and Bani be fighting over besides Squalo? )

 

Mammon ignored the pointless arguing and just stared at the vase of flowers. Maybe he should give him a chance. No one has ever really liked him and he seems sincere about it.

(Simple. The last delicious cupcake that Lussuria made )

 

The rest of the week rolled by with ease, aside from an occasion cupcake being thrown out the window and Bani/Bel/Levi following after it. But when the annual Thursday rolled around, the day Fong was supposed to come, the doorstep was empty. He was always there, 12:00 sharp. Kat paced her room, looking out the window every 10 or so seconds. She didn't want Fong to ditch Mammon and stop coming like Skull. And Reborn. And Verde. It wouldn't be fair to get the teen's hopes up. Two minutes passed and in the distance of the driveway was a figure. A braid swished behind him and flowers were visable.

 

(Be prepared.)

(I'm afraid. D8 *Nothing to do here but wait*)

Fong limped to the doorstep of the Varia HQ, blood dripping down his arm onto the concrete steps. He clutched his arm in one hand and leaned limply against the now crimson stained doorpane. On hand was clutching his arm and in the other was a wilted bouquet of white roses. Despite his drastic injury, he smiled, happy to get Mammon his weekly present. With a shaky fist, the male knocked gingerly on his tender hand.

Bani answered the door, somewhat reluctantly. "What do you -- OH MY GOD!!" She covered her mouth in surprise, leaning down to him. "GOOD LORD WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU?!" She asked, rushing to take out some extra bandages she kept in her armor for cases like these. She began to skillfully wrap it around Fong's arm.

Fong gave a strained laugh at her shock and unusual care, wincing only slightly at the slight roughness used.

"I came from a mission and I thought I had finished off the enemy. They caught me when I was buyng roses for Mammon which is who they were aiming to attack next." He seethed at the pain shooting through his arm, takin care to hold on to the roses tightly and keep the blood from dripping onto them. "So I stopped them and got injured for him. I couldn't let them hurt Mammon..."

Bani gave him an apologetic look. She was wrong about this one. And then her brief look of guilt faded, turning into a concerned frown. "They're not still out there, right?" She was hit on the head by Mammon, who was standing behind her. "That's not what matters right now."

Fong looked up at Mammon, generally surprised but still smiling at the sight of the Mist Arcobaleno.

"Hello Mammon," He used his other hand to give Mammon the prestine white roses. Each one was hand picked and the thorns removed by hand as well. Every petal had a place on the flower and looked to be sculpted by Mother Nature herself. But in Fong's opinion, Mammon was to good for such perfect roses. They just couldn't compare to him.

"I hope you'll accept them."

Mammon took the bouquet and growled a 'thank you'. Bani looked up at the illusionist and scowled. "Be nice. He just got injured for you." Mammon rolled his eyes.

Fong shook his head giving a weak 'No it's fine'. He knew very well Mammon didn't open up very easily for many reasons. But it didn't stop Fong from trying and not seeing Mammon anymore.

"No, it's fine."
