(Lol idk. I've always liked SqualoxBel for that one...He's like, the only seme I can see being the beast.)

 

Byakuran popped a marshmallow into his mouth, looking over at a computer screen in the corner of the room. "Boring." He muttered.

(True. I was maybe thinking about doing, like, ColonnelloxMammon or KenxChikusa ^^')

 

Spanner sighed, looking sadly at the blood splattered in another room. It looks as if this prisoner was of no use to Byakuran eitther. He had watched as the male toyed with him but had to look away as the Byakuran then slaughtered him. Poor Fuuta...And now Spanner had to clean up the mess.

"I hate gettting my hands dirty with someone elses work..." He muttered, rolling his lollipop around his mouth while scratching the back of his head.

It had been a rough week for him... He had to kill far too many people. Not that he minded. But he mostly felt bad for Hibari, who was told that they would kill Dino if they didn't get the info they wanted. The poor kid was traumatized, but he gave in after making Byakuran promise he wouldn't hurt Dino.

Spanner shook his head, finishing up the cleaning. He felt his stomach churn slightly at the stench filling his nose and Spanner decided he wasn't doing this anymore. Calmly, with a stoic face, the blond walked into Byakuran's office and tossed his bloodied gloves on the desk he was sitting behind...right on ALL the paperwork. He didn't care however as red seepedinto white.

"I'm done cleaning up your messes." He stated blandly.

Byakuran snapped out of his daze and looked over at Spanner. "Hm? Oh. Well then I could always get Kikyo or someone to do it for me..." He gave the blonde a normal Byakuranish smile before getting back to the matters at hand. What was he going to do with Hibari? He could always kill him but that would be a tremendous waste. And after all, Dino was expecting him...

Spanner raised an eyebroww before leaning casually on the desk and looking at his occupied boss.

"What's with you?" He questioned. Spanner knew Byakuran well enough to know something was wrong.

"Just thinking, is all...Ha...I really shouldn't have chosen this decision, huh?" Spanner probably didn't know what the hell he was talking about, but it made Byakuran's eyes well up with tears. "I don't..." His voice trailed off.

Spanner heart felt a stabbing pain go through it at the sight of Byakuran's lavender eyes getting glassy. He put a hand on his boss' shoulder, taking a lollipop from his pocket. He handed it to the male as he unwrapped it skillfully.

"Hey, what do you mean: You shouldn't have chosen this decision?" He blinked. "What decision?"

He sobbed silently, taking the lollipop nonetheless. "You have no idea how miserable I've been...Since I got the ring from the Cervello...If I hadn't said yes...I would have been so much happier..."

Spanner felt his blue eyes soften at that. He'd...he'd never seen Byakuran like this before. And here he was, coming in here and acting like a huge jerk all because of some blood...God he felt horrible. Spanner slid off the desk and came around behind Byakuran to give him an akward hug. He really didn't know what to say. Spanner wasn't good at comforting people. The best thing for Byakuran was to just...let all his regrets spill out.

He nestled into Spanner's shoulder and silently cried into his uniform. "If it weren't for me...Shoichi and Leo wouldn't have..." He trailed off again, remembering how his trust was misplaced in them. He had actually told them that he loved them...Only to find out that he was being betrayed. Shoichi committed suicide a week after Byakuran and him began goig steady, and he had killed Leo out of rage because a Vongola guardian had been possessing him. "I don't want it to happen again..."

Spanner felt his throat go dry as he nuzzled his nose nervously into Byakuran's hair. Those two, Shoichi and Leo, had betrayed him. But how was the blond any different? Spanner was a traitor. At the thought the male tightened his grip just slightly. The Vongola didn't realize one important factor about Byakuran that was pushing him close to the edge. He was lonely.

 

He was lonely.

 

Spanner grimaced as he rubbed his boss' back, feeling as though he was comforting a child. But in a way, he was. Byakuran was a child playing a grown-up game.

"I-...It's not...You can't blame yourself." Spanner knew full well how much of a lie that was.

"Yes I can! I was selfish enough to want something unobtainable...And I killed all those people...and the two that I loved the most." He regretted even falling in love with them. He should have known that something like this would happen. But without feeling loved, he was so...miserable. There was no hope for him anymore.

Spanner felt himself shake just a bit. He didn't...couldn't tell him now. Not when he was all Byakuran had left. But was it better to keep this secret from him or tell him so he didn't start something Byakuran would regret.

"I...Byakuran..." Strike One. He only ever called Byakuran 'boss' when speaking to him. "Don't say that." If Byakuran kept on Spanner knew the result of what he'd do. He couldn't stand seeing the man he betrayed...and loved be in this state.

 

(Lol, I'm listening to the most dramatic instrumental right now )

"Then what am I supposed to say? I can't just pretend this never happened!" Tears were streaming down his face now, and he needed all the comfort Spanner could provide. "Please..."

Spanner didn't have a reply ready for him. Instead, he kneeled down, hands grasping Byakuran's elbows loosely as he laid his forehead onto the man's chest. The heart beat was pained and irregular.

"I don't know..." He felt a tear force through his eyelids. Strike Two. Spanner never showed weakness such as that. Ever. "I don't...I dont know how to comfort," The enemy. "You."

Byakuran gave a gentle smile before kneeling down to Spanner's current eye-level. His lavender eyes sparkled just a bit. "Please...Bear with me." He took a hold of Spanner's shoulders and gently pressed their lips together.

Spanner's eyes flew open as Byakuran's warm and slightly wet lips pressed against his. He...didn't want to. Byakuran wanted to be loved. But he himself was heartless, if only a little. But which was crueler Spanner asked himself. Leading Byakuran on and then watching him fall apart or teling him now when a new hope was lit. It took all of Spanner's strength to look into Byakuran's eyes as he pulled away, the sorrowful aqua telling why he stopped. Strike Three. He never hesitated. He was out. And he knew, Byakuran was the one about to lose everything.

"Spanner...What's wrong?" He asked, unable to read the look in his eyes. He was slightly disappointed, but didn't show it. "I'm sorry...I probably shouldn't have done that..." He said with a light chuckle as he wiped away some tears with the back of his hand.

"No...it's just..." He gulped, taking a ragged breath. It was so hard, so hard to say this to him. He tried reasoning with himself; 'He needs me' or 'Don't ruin him...' but he couldn't. Spanner shhok his head, and layed down in Byakuran's lap.

"I'm...sorry. I'm...not one of...I can't do this for," He bit his lip. No use. "The enemy."

 

(NOOOOOOO! You IDIOT!)

"What do you...?" His eyes widened and more tears came. "N-Not you too..." Byakuran stammered, his gaze growing glassy and faraway. He let out a sigh and looked to the ground. "Im so sorry..." He sobbed.

"No, no don't be." Spanner spoke, lifting Byakuran's chin and kissing him tenderly. "It's all my fault." He admitted, pressing their foreheads together. "I'm the traitor, not you." He whispered, brushing Byakuran's lower lip with his thumb.

Spanner surprised him greatly, making Byakuran blush deeply. "Please...I don't want to do this anymore...I want to end this and just be happy. No more lying or betrayal..." He pleaded.
