Zexion/Ienzo, TAKE IT AWAY!

Spanner nodded slowly, kissing Byakuran again.

"Promise...just screw the Vongola for now." He murmered, playing with his hair.

Byakuran caught Spanner in an embrace, a very genuine smile on his face. "I promise you that it will end...I promise..." He kept repeating those words, crying more and more every time he said it. "I love you...!" He meant it this time. Nothing could possibly stand between them now. It would all diminish; this war, his painful past, just...everything.

And Spanner believed him, every single word. He kissed the male carefully, holding Byakuran close to him. He knew it woud end. He couldn't wait till it did so.

He kissed back, passionately throwing his arms over the blonde's shoulders. He loved him, and he was sure about it this time. He couldn't think of anything else besides claiming Spanner as his own and ending this whole war.

Verde sighed, running his hands through his green hair irritably. This machine was nearly complete but he needed just one thing to make it work. But for that, he needed the remote. Not likely. Rolling his eyes, Verde put his forehead in his face, not bothering to glare at Skull as he asked the teen once more for the 8th time today.

"Skull...can I please have the remote for my machine?"

(It is...Xanxus-sama's 26th birthday! I'm making a special cake for the occasion! ^_^ And the day after that is my parents' 13th anniversary!)

 

Skull chuckled in amusement. "You're not getting it back~" He teased, enjoying the game he was playing.

(YAY! Happy Birthday to Xanxus?And tell your parents I said congrats.)

 

Verde groaned, slamming his head onto the table. This wasn't funny anymore. He needed the remote and he knew Skull wasn't giving it to him only because he was the test subject.

"God dammit...you're so difficult..."

(My mom says thank you, and I give you a piece of delicious Xanxus e-cake.)

 

Skull ignored his comment, as he recieved that same sentence all too much. He had built up an immunity. "Whatever...That doesn't change my mind."

"It's not like I'm cutting you open." Verde reasoned, looking back at Skull desperately. "I'm simply going to explore one memory. That's all this does!" Yes, Verde actually created a machine that, once you're hooked up to it, can broadcast your memories as you saw them on a screen. It was quite a breakthrough actually.

"Maybe I don't want you to see my past!" He snapped, defensive on the taboo subject of his past. It was really something he'd rather not share with anyone.

Verde rolled his eyes, getting up angrily.

"Then I won't go far back. Besides, I'm not looking to study your life, just see if this machine works!" He snapped, flicking Skull on the head and trying to snatch his remote back. Besides, what's the worst he could see? Skull baking girly cookies with Luce?

 

(Same I have Skull's past thought out to -shiver- It's creepy and sad.

(Awwww really? Damn and I had a good idea too...)

 

Skull gulped. "No. I still won't let you." He said sternly.

(Well...damn. What's yours? If I like it better then mine you can use it. I didn't think about yours ^^' Gomen.)

 

Verde pulled harshly at Skull's ear, much like how Lal did to Colonnello, and held out his hand expectantly.

"Remote. And yes, you have to be the experiment. The statistics show the best result will be from you. So c'mon."

(It involves rape and slavery. Very odd, lol. If you don't like the whole 'child kidnapping and sold into slavery' thing then go ahead and use yours.)

 

He bit his lip and hesitantly handed him the remote. "Okay, but...show no sympathy for me," he warned, looking towards the ground.

(Maybe for the next VerdexSkull. I like mine a bit more for thise one. Sorry, don't kill me ^^')

 

Verde was a little shocked by the reply but disreguarded it completely. Scientists had no room for opinions or bias during an experiment. Taking the remote, he lead Skull over to the machine and put a head set next to him.

"It'll cause you to sleep as this goes on until the mempry ends. Ready?" Verde questioned, letting only business take over his mind. He didn't know what he was in for...

"Yeah..." He replied reluctantly, gulping uneasily.

 

(AAAAAAHHHHH The woodchuck commercial!! XDDD It makes me laugh so haaaard!)

Verde tuned in the machine, watching as Skull fell asleep uneasily.

The screen of the machine flickered at first, but a fuzzy image came in, almost as if the memory was when Skull was half-asleep. However, the image showed a young woman with violet hair and lavender eyes. She was staring down at Skull, whispering a lullaby. A giggle resounded and Verde estimated that this was when Skull had to have been 6 or 7.

"Goodnight sweetie."

"Night, night mommy." The mother leaned down to most likely kiss the boy's cheek before walking out of the bedroom. Soon enough, the image faded.

 

BAM

 

The sound from the machine caused even Verde to jump, but he knew it was still from the memory. The picture was much sharper now, child Skull being fully awake. He was shaking, the room having a mini-quake so it seemed. Verde watched as Skull hopped out of his bed and called for his mother. Another moment and he was at the door that led into the unknown house. It was hesitantly opened and when Skull peeked around the corner both he and Verde gasped. Red. Everywhere. On the carpet...furniture...all coming from a man on the ground. Above him, with frazzled hair and a crazed look in her eyes, was Skull's mom. The hammer in her hand was red to.

"Ma..mma?" The figure looked up sharply, a twisted, Cheshire Cat smile on her lips. The grip on the hammer was tighter. Skull looked to his room and back at his mom as she approached him and then at his father.

"Did...did he get an owie?"

"Yes...dear." Her voice was uneven, phsyco-like. "And so will you." The hammer was raised and child Skull was paralyzed and-

 

-and Verde turned off the machine, unable to finish watching that small glimpse. He was, for once, horrified of something other than himself.

(Wtf? Skull's past is so firetrucked up. 0-0'')

(In a bad way as in it doesn't make sense or in the good way to where you feel bad for Skull ^^' IDK, I just got an idea that said what if Skull's mom was crazy. Y'know, seemed real nice but really had SERIOUS problems...And reply dammit )

Verde took a moment to regain his composure, shakily removing the headset off of Skull. He contemplated leaving him asleep but he decided otherwise, being he shook Skull's shoulders gently. From behind his spectacles he wondered....had it left a mark on him?

Skull awoke with a start, taking a sharp intake of air as he did so. "What?" He asked warily.

Verde hid his ebbing concern and kept his nuetral face on, doing his best to not look into Skull's eyes. Because when he did, he saw his mother's crazed look.

"It works. I woke you up because I came to my conclusion." Getting up, the scientist exhaled and packed up the machine so he could send it to the young Vongola. Apparently Xanxus had gottten "amnesia" and didn't remember anything -ahem, mostly his birthday- so Tsuna intended to show the man his own memories. But still, one thing was bothering Verde...
