I've been playing Korean MMOs for years and I've noticed something. They all give you various amounts of control in character creation. Some of the more recent once allow you manipulate just about every aspect of your characters appearance. Height, musculature, facial structure, everything except one. Body hair. No MMO I've ever played has allowed you to put body hair on male characters. I know it's not very common in Asian communities but there have to be some hairy guys right? You can even make your character just about any nationality even though some races (Black, Hispanic, Indian) are far less common in Asian countries than they are in the west but no body hair? You even have options that don't even exist in nature like magenta eyes and blue hair, but you still have to be smooth as a Ken doll? I myself am naturally hairless( the largest number or chest hairs I've ever had are four) and I admit that my main always looks as close to me IRL as possible but sometimes I want to make an alt that has nothing in common with me physically (except gender) and when this happens I always think to myself "I really wish I could make this guy hairy". I mean, I know you have armor most of the time but still... 

 

Just a pet peeve of mine. Is anybody else bothered by this?

I feel every game that has a character creation option should be very detailed, so, yes. In fairness, though, the developers probably don't consider the fact that you'll ever take your armor off. So, body hair isn't an important option to them.

In Tera online you can give some races facial hair.

 

I personally don't see a need for body hair, but then again in tera you can't control which hairstyles go with certain animal ear and tail combos Lyckily, there are mods to fix that! Just don't get caught or you gonna get baaaaaanned
