Small List of Luis Suarez events:

Posted

Luis Suarez, known as a racist, a diver and a cannibal has claimed that he is "A Victim of the Press". This is a small list of events that justifies that Luis Suarez is not a victim of the press, he is just a general asshole.  (Not including all the dives because it would take all day)

  • In the 2013/14 season, he gave the Middle finger to Neutral fans when playing against Fulham at Craven Cottage as they have a neutral's stand, this was unprovoked and unnecessary and resulted in a one match ban.
  • In the 2011/12 Luis Suarez was racist to Manchester United Full back Patrice Evra when Liverpool and Manchester United were playing at Old Trafford and in the return game at Anfield, refused to shake the hand of Patrice Evra. This resulted in a fine and another few matches banned.
  • He admitted to diving to a worldwide audience in a game against Stoke City in the 2012/13 season saying "I was accused of falling inside the box in a match and it's true I did it that time, because we were drawing against Stoke at home and we needed anything to win it." This resulted in another match ban.
  • In the 2012/13 season Luis Suarez scored a blatant hand ball against Non-League side Mansfield because, if you can't win with your feet, then use your hands, this resulted in an illegal goal. The goal was given and Liverpool progressed in the F.A Cup. This isn't the first time he has handballed against underdogs either.
  • In the 2010 World Cup, in the quarter finals, Ghana were through on goal and it seemed inevitable that they were going to score in which they nearly did as Kwadwo Asamoah (I think) headed in a beautifully hit header into an open net however Suarez had other plans, where he even more blatantly than the last one punched it off the line, this resulted in a straight red card and a penalty to Ghana which they unfortunately missed. I'll let this video explain the rest

  • In that same year, Suarez also done the unthinkable by biting PSV Eindhoven midfielder Otman Bakkal in the neck, this resulted in a Seven match ban. This is not the last time Luis has bit someone.
  • In 2010 Suarez fought with Ajax teammate Albert Luque as he was the "Replacement" striker for Luis as a move to Liverpool looked inevitable.
  • In the qualifiers of the 2010 World Cup, Suarez punched Chilean Full-Back Gonzalez Jara.
  • In the 2012/13 season, Suarez then bit Chelsea Full Back Branislav Ivanovic. This resulted in a lengthy 10 match ban for biting the Serb.
  • And finally, the most recent incident. At this year's 2014 World Cup, Suarez bit Italian Centre Back Giorgio Chiellini which resulted in a massive ban. This ban included 9 Games of International Football which sparked the end of his World Cup run and a ban from 4 months of any football activity meaning he couldn't train nor play for 4 months. He will miss a lot of crucial games of the 2014/15 season including Chelsea at Home, Manchester City Away, Tottenham Hotspur Away and the massive Mersey-side Derby Away to Everton.

Now you decide. Is Suarez a victim of the media? Or does he deserve it?
