Looking for a pair since I'm tired of using my iphone for Skype. I want one that sounds good (doesn't need surround sound), good mic, and ones that don't hurt after an hour of listening to music or talking on Skype/Teamspeak. Speaking of the latter, I don't game as much, but do plan to use it on Transformers Universe and Pokemon Showdown. 

 

I have a few jotted down, coming from Turtle Beach (X12), Logitech (G230), and Razer (Kraken Pro).

 

As usual, I'm on a budget. I don't want any hitting above $60 unless it's a must. 

 

EDIT: Have also watched youtube videos on mic tests, and ironically the cheaper one (G230's) sound better. e_e

defiantly go for Razer Kraken. its literally the required headset at achievement hunter where all that is done there is video games and editing videos. i always liked them.

Honestly I haven't tried any of the ones you've listed. I bought a Tritton set when I was like 13 and used them literally like 6 hours a day until they've finally died on me like 4 years later. I don't know the exact model name (I think I paid about $60 for this pair) but these are amazing:

I might go for these as I've heard good things about these, look so awesome (red and white models even better), and a detachable mic. I can use it for when I listen to music outside.
