i dont understand people say he can dual wield, technically , he never actually did hold two keyblades at once, he summoned destiny palace, gave it to kairi, and then summoned way to the dawn. its like if sora summoned any random keyblade, for example , gave it to kairi , and then summoned his own kingdom key.

discuss, just my thoughts, no offence intended,

But it's not a fact that Riku has another heart inside of him. It's a good theory, but not factual. Riku could very well have just one heart, and happened to do the same thing he has done before, and just have another keyblade, but using somebody elses. He took Sora's keyblade in KH1 and was able to use it until Sora summoned it back. He used the Oblivion in Days, but it's not his. The very same case could be with the Destiny Place.

The case with is that, in the case of him taking the KK from Sora in HB or Oblivion from Roxas, we clearly saw him, well, taking them. Remember how novels are secondary canon? The info we learn from them are considered canon if they don't contradict the game in any way.

The game simply showed Riku summoning Destiny Place before handing it off to Kairi, and then we never saw it again. The novels state that Destiny Place materialized when he was thinking of his home. It wasn't said anywhere that he was given the Keyblade, or he stole it from someone else.

Gah, the more I post in this thread, the more I want to just make a new one to make it more organized and get my point across.

That's my theory, I didn't feel like posting it here, since it's kinda a separate topic.

Now let's clear up this duel wielding thing for everybody.

Duel-wielding by default is wielding two keyblades at the same time

How are you able to duel-wield? By having a Keyblade wielders heart inside of you, which would allow you to use their keyblade at the same time you are using your own.

If in fact Riku had Xehanorts/Terras/MX's/ whoever heart inside of them, why would the Destiny Place be his second keyblade?

None of those people have a strong connection with Kairi, so why would Riku duel-wield a Keyblade that has nothing to do with the co-wielder?
