Yen Sid had Sora, Riku, and Kairi and Lea in his tower. As well as two newcomers named Kairiaxel and Silver. Making sure to remind them to mind their manners while on the trip, and to keep themselves under control....and not get too rambunctious when they saw something they thought was fun.

 

Yen Sid decided to give them a brief history lesson on the first universe they'd be encountering, it had to do with the fall of a man named Anakin Skywalker to the darkness....and the literal extermination of the Jedi Knights..these peacekeepers who made use of a power source called the Force...but the Force the Jedi believe was more than a power source it was the source of all life in their galaxy. 

 

When Anakin Skywalker's master confronted him and gravely injured him in a mortal duel to try to settle things, the flashback went to the children being born of Anakin and his secret wife Padme Amidala.

 

In the current time, Luke (Anakin's son) had been trained by two masters, both Anakin's (Obi-Wan Kenobi) who was later killed by the now christened Darth Vader, no longer considering himself Anakin Skywalker...though it was clear that he had a chance at redemption...as did everyone.

 

As well as a small funny green man named Yoda, who taught him until Luke ran off to save his as of yet unclaimed sister and friends. He lost his hand in a duel with his father, who told him that he was indeed decieved by Obi-Wan.

 

 

That was when Yen Sid ended his lecture and folded his hands across his lap, having gone into a lot of detail..he was quite out of breath. "Currently....Luke, Leia, and Lando Calrissian are on their way in the Millenium Falcon to pick you all up...they are staging a daring rescue mission to save Han Solo from his carbonite prison at Jabba the Hutt's palace."

Sora sat down in a seat to his right.  The buckles were different than he'd seen before, but a quick glance at Riku's progress with the device soon had him secured to the chair.  Lightspeed!  Sora wasn't really sure what that meant, but it sounded exciting.  He accepted the little bag Luke offered him and set it on the chair under his leg.  Sora hadn't been motion sick for years, and that had been on a very windy fishing trip.  He could take this "lightspeed" thing for sure, no problem.

Lando and Chewie were piloting, while Luke sat in the back with Sora and Riku. 

 

When they entered lightspeed after their eventual ascent out of the atmosphere. Streaks of white energy were seen around the ship's windows before the ship shot through the sky and upon looking out the windows, they seemed to be in some sort of blue vortex.

Riku took a seat beside Sora and strapped in.

"So, what can you tell us about your plan to save your friend?" The Dark Master asked Luke. "From what you've said, it sounds like we're back up."

He cocked his head to the side.

"Are you planning to walk into his hands?"

Luke smiled at Riku. "I suppose you could say that. R2 and 3PO will go in first, with a message that I will be arriving shortly. And as a token of my goodwill I will gift them to him in the message. Leia will arrive with Chewie, she'll be disguised as a bounty hunter who has captured him, that way she can free Han when Jabba is asleep that night. If it all goes south, I'll go in and try to negotiate.....you'd be surprised how the Force can influence weak minds like these gangster types. So yes....you're backup...and you'll be going in with me...it'll give you a first hand experience of the scum and villainy from my home planet of Tatooine. Just...try not to act like.....er...tourists." 

The initial shock of their entry to lightspeed had worn off, and everything felt like it was holding still once more. The white streaks of light outside the cockpit were the only evidence of the ships rapid movement through space.  Were all of those little lights worlds?  Sora had been to several in his travels, but he'd never considered how enormous the sky really was, and the sheer number of places and people and things there were.  Was there an end to it all, or did it go on forever?  He thought back to Yen Sid's briefing, and remembered something about galaxies. 

 

Too big.  

 

Sora looked away from the window and back to Luke.

 

"How long until we get there?" he asked.

Riku remembered observing Organization XIII members interact and how Maleficent would deal with people.

"Don't worry." he said. "I think i know the type."

He looked over at Sora. He might have a problem with the whole acting like part of a criminal element.

"Me and Sora will probably need disguises that would make sense for us to hang out together." Riku added.

Luke smiled at Sora, "It won't take long, I assure you....that's the thing about lightspeed...to put it simply...its really fast." 

 

In answer to Riku's question, two figures made themselves known from the shadows of the Millennium Falcon. One appeared to be quite large and wore a brown coat and had an insect like face and breathing apparatus attached to its head, and held a rifle in its hands. 

The figure next to it was a robot (or droid as the people here called them) that from the feet up appeared not unlike C-3PO, but not as shiny, more black and a bit rusted. But this one had insect like eyes similar to the coat wearing figure, and also held a blaster rifle.

 

Luke stood up, "Boys...these are the bounty hunters...Zuckuss, and the droid 4-LOM. The ones who were at first contacted by the Empire along with Bossk, Dengar and Boba Fett to find and capture the Millennium Falcon and retrieve the plans to destroy the Death Star." 

 

4-LOM spoke up. "Are you sure about this Zuckuss? If the Empire finds out we're helping the Rebels...." 

 

"I have a debt to pay." Zuckuss then turned to Luke, "On Hoth your Rebel friends saved my life...even when they knew what I was after. Can't say I know why they didn't leave me there to die, but I'll do my best to help you out in return. So long as you leave Boba Fett to us." 

 

Luke nodded but asked, "Any reason you're after Boba in particular?" 

 

4-LOM spoke, "There has always been a long standing rivalry between every hunter, Boba chose to take it one step further when he tried to fry my circuits and captured Zuckuss."

There was a strong sense of friendship between these two, even though they seemed like pretty rough individuals.  Sora waited expectantly to hear more about this Boba person, but he didn't push the subject when everyone else fell momentarily silent.  He had a nagging suspicion that he would be playing the part of Zuckuss, as he was the shorter of the two, and contemplated how he would even begin to disguise his voice.

Riku viewed Zuckuss and 4-LOM with some suspicion. They didn't seem to trustworthy, but Luke must have trusted them enough to bring them in on this.

"So, me and Sora go in as bounty hunters with these two?" He asked, jerking his head to the Gand and the droid.

Luke nodded to Riku, "Yes..you will. Don't worry about the disguises...a holographic projector will cover your true appearance. Unfortunately we only have one of...a male bounty hunter. So....one of you will have to be a girl...also she's a rather infamous Jedi Hunter...so....yeah...try to play the part well." 

 

Luke held up two circular disks, one projected the image of a pale woman with a long ponytail and stubbly fingers, holding pistols with double triggers. 

 

The name read: "Aurra Sing"

The other one was a man with a turban, the name read "Dengar". 

"One of us has to be a girl?!"

 

Sora's voice cracked a little.  

He scratched the back of his head, laughing nervously as he eyed the holograms.  He'd liked it better when he thought he'd be disguised as one of the two bounty hunters who were still standing somewhere behind him.  He tried to imagine himself acting out the part of this Aurra Sing.  Did she walk like a girl?  Maybe if he pretended to be Kairi he could pull it off.  A very... not-Kairi Kairi.

 

Nope.

 

Dengar, on the other hand, looked like he'd draw less attention, though there was a definite sense of grimness about the hologram that gave Sora pause.  

He didn't say anything further, silently willing Riku to pick Aurra.

"Note to self: Provide your own disguise next time." Riku thought as he studied the two holographic disguises.

He wasn't sure he liked the idea of pretending to be someone else without knowing enough about them. Would an old buddy of Dengar or Aurra try to talk to them? Sighing, Riku looked over at Sora. With his friend's size and personality, Riku didn't think he'd make a good Jedi Hunter.

"I guess I'll take the girl." He said with another sigh as he reached out and took the Aurra Sing Disguise.

Sora shot Riku a quick look of gratitude, relieved at his decision.  

Of course he chose Aurra, dummy.  How long have we been friends?  Riku would always cover him. Of that, Sora had no doubt.

 

Now that the disguise business was settled, his sense of excitement for impending adventure was beginning to return. The two of them could take on anything!  Even if something did go wrong, they both had the fighting skills that they'd worked so hard to hone over the past few years.  He could feel the reassuring not-weight of his keyblade somewhere in the back of his mind, the sense of simply knowing that he could summon it, in the same way that he knew he could raise his arm or turn his head.  They'd be fine.  He believed in his friends, and that was all that he needed.

Luke nodded as Zuckuss and 4-LOM came over. Zuckuss looked Riku over, "Aurra Sing huh? Gonna be difficult to explain her sudden reappearance. She's a force sensitive herself...so you could probably explain it away as having precognition that a Jedi was going to show up in the Palace. Just remember kid....she's a flirt, she's ruthless, and selfish to boot." 

 

4-LOM turned to Sora, "Dengar thinks highly of himself, he often makes moves on females he finds attractive, and is extremely cocky in battle. Make sure you play the part...and you'll be fine." 

 

Luke turned to them, "Leia is in....she's got Han out....but I've lost all communication...something must've gone wrong. Put on the disguises...go in first.....it'll look suspicious if I come in with four bounty hunters on my tail. Zuckuss and 4-LOM will smooth talk your way in." 

 

Luke put his hood up and the ship's ramp extended into a harsh desert in front of an enormous palace. "Be careful...I'll be right behind you."

Sora stifled a laugh at the thought of Riku flirting, let alone doing so with complete strangers.

Twisting his mouth into what felt like a cocky smirk, Sora nodded to Luke and turned, casually following 4-LOM down the ramp. He'd been in deserts before, but he still wasn't ready for the literal wall of heat that slammed into him, almost instantly sucking the moisture from his mouth as he opened it in a small gasp of surprise. While the hologram seemed to disguise him well enough, it offered no protection against the two white hot spheres (Two of them!) searing the air. His gait lost some of it's careful arrogance as he hurried to catch up with 4-LOM, who had much longer strides than Sora had originally anticipated.

Following them was R2 D2 and C3PO...the golden protocol droid seemed to be quite nervous about the whole situation, but R2 just beeped and booped along side the two teenagers excitedly, seeming to be excited like Sora about a new adventure.

 

"R2 what kind of astro-droid craves adventure!?" 3PO cried indignantly. "Wait for me! You know you always get in trouble!" 3PO shuffled after the rolling blue and silver droid.

 

R2 just booped back at him as they came up to a large palace door. C3PO looked at the others, "I uh..better knock I suppose." He barely tapped the metal door.

 

"Doesn't seem to be anyone there! Better turn back then and tell Master Luke-" 

 

That was when a large probe with a single metallic shining robotic eye popped out of one of the grates on the humongous door.

 

It spoke in a strange language to C3PO.

 

"Huttese...language of the Hutt gangsters." Zuckuss whispered to the two disguised boys. 

 

When the eye had inspected them all, it shot back into the hole with a chuckling sound.

Then the enormous gate slid open upwards and R2 was rolling inside the dark hallway. "R2-D2 Wait for me!" C3-PO cried

Riku gave Sora a sour look for the stifled laugh.

"Let's just say she has a cold or is hungover, or something." He said as he turned on the disguise.

He followed after his friend and the bounty hunters through the desert. He kept an eye on 4-Lom and Zuckuss, still unsure if they could be trusted. Once the droids were in, he glanced at Zuckuss.

"Now we go in?" He asked, caught a little off guard by his modulated voice.

Sora fought back the urge to try out his own voice disguise, crossing his arms and feigning boredom.

 

Dengar thinks highly of himself--- Cocky---  

 

One wouldn't stand around all day with an attitude like that.  Sora pushed forward, following the two droids into the dark interior of the hallway, made darker in contrast with the bright light outside.  They'd already been seen, so standing around would probably be suspicious.  

 

Plus he really wanted to see what one of these Hutt gangsters looked like.

 

Most of all, he just wanted to go in the shade because the suns were really hot.  Anything would better than toasting outside in the white-hot desert a moment longer.

Zuckuss nodded and he and 4-LOM wandered in after the two droids.

 

C-3PO was shuffling after R2, calling after him in his feminine male voice. 

 

A large spider looking thing with a brain floating in fluid on its belly sac wandered by in front of Sora and Riku, Zuckuss and 4-LOM paid it no mind but 3PO cried out "OH! R2 wait wait!" 

 

R2 bumped into the furred tunic of a drooling green pig-man...with a dumb look on his face, the tusked pig man growled at R2 who backed away booping and beeping.

 

"Just give them Master Luke's message so we can get out of-" That was when the large gate shut them all in near darkness.

 

"Oh no." 3PO whined.

Riku managed to keep his cool when the big spider thing came out of the shadows.

"Think that you can kill anything that gets in your way." He thought.

He let his shoulders losen up as he did his best to saunter down the main entrance of Jabba's palace, making sure to let Zuckuss and 4-LOM to go first.

The temperature wasn't nearly as cool as Sora had hoped --the insistent beating of the sun had been replaced by a muggy heat that clung to every surface it could find-- but he could live with it.  It smelled funny, too.  He watched with morbid curiosity as the brain-spider crawled away into the shadows, and tried not to gawk at the strange pig-man R2 had bumped into.  This place was awesome.

That was when all of them were approached by a albino Twi'lek who made his presence known by shouting in Huttese: "Hajooda!" The pig guards immediately backed away from the droids at the albino alien's approach.

 

His red eyes squinted at 3PO as he spoke in his alien tongue, "Die wonna wanga?" 

 

3PO bowed politely and responded back in a similar tongue.

 

"W-We bring a message to your master Jabba the Hutt, and...a gift!" 3PO repeatd after R2.

 

3PO cocked his head to the side, "Gift...what gift!?" he thumped R2 on the side of his head.

 

Bib Fortuna cast a sideways glance at the bounty hunters Zuckuss and 4Lom, as well as the disguised Sora and Riku. "Jabba no bother...." he began caressing R2's dome with a clawed hand.

 

3Po spoke up, "Our instructions are to give it to Jabba...himself!" 

 

Fortuna looked dissapointed and affronted, "I-I'm terribly sorry about this! He's awfully stubborn sometimes and-" 

 

Fortuna interrupted C-3PO and snarled at them all to follow him down the hall.

 

Jabba was found to be a massive disgusting fat slug who enjoyed watching slave girls who were the same species as Bib, dance half naked in front of him...on some sort of grate right in front of his throne.

 

There was a band of weird aliens playing weird instruments and singing in an odd language something called "Lapti Nek'

Sora slowed and fell back closer to Riku when the white alien thing approached.  As usual, his friend had taken the smarter path and stood behind where it was easier to observe.  As the alien greeted the droids in his strange tongue, Sora glanced impatiently down the hallway, trying to see what waited for them at the end.  All the foreign words these people were using made him nervous again.  He had no idea what they were saying, and hoped that no one tried to address him directly in one of them.

 

When they finally started moving again, he followed the little procession into what looked like a throne room of sorts.  At least, it somewhat resembled the one's Sora had visited before.  His eyes were instantly drawn to the back of the room, around which several strange figures were standing, and he was not at all disappointed by the center of attention, the infamous hutt gangster that he'd been warned about.   Jabba wasn't just big, he was huge.  And smelly.

 

Sora would never be able to look at slugs the same again.

 

He did his best not to stare directly at Jabba, casually glancing around at the strange company Dengar apparently kept, until he noticed the girls chained to the dais Jabba rested on.  Indignation and disgust boiled up in his chest, but he forced himself to look away.  Maybe he could do something about that later.  For now, he'd play his role.  He looked over to see if he could tell what Riku was thinking.

3PO and R2 were brought before the throne of Jabba, while Zuckuss and 4-LOM stayed to the side with the guests.

 

Bib Fortuna whispered in Jabba's ear and R2 began playing the message that showed a hologram of Luke to the room:

 

"Greetings exalted one. Allow me to introduce myself, I am Luke Skywalker, Jedi Knight and friend to Captain Solo.I know that you are powerful mighty Jabba, and that your anger with Solo must be equally powerful, I seek an audience with you to bargain with Solo's life."

 

At this, Jabba let out a booming laugh. "Oh ho ho ho ho!" 

 

The monkey lizard looking thing on his tail screeched in laughter as well. 

 

"With your wisdom, I'm sure we can make out an arrangement that can be mutually beneficial to both of us. As a token of my goodwill, I offer you a gift....these two droids." Luke gestured to 3PO and R2.

"W-What did he say!?" 3PO cried out.

 

"Both are hardworking, and will serve you well." 

 

The hologram faded and 3PO looked around in confusion. Bib Fortuna could be heard whispering in Jabba's ear: "No bargain, he's no Jedi!" Jabba laughed again, "There will be no bargain! I will not give up my favorite decoration! I like Captain Solo exactly where he is!" The fat slug gestured to a wall decoration which appeared to be a frozen man in a block of cemented material.

(Sorry for being late. I was short on time and creative juices, but I should be able to get back in the flow of things.)

 

Riku took up a position near 4-LOM when the group reached the main audience chamber. He had thought he had seen seedy places before, but this place took the cake. Even Maleficent managed to have more respectable looking hideouts.

As he listened to Luke's message, Riku approved of the stance. It was at least giving Jabba the chance to say yes and give up Solo willingly. There was some speaking in a strange language, then the Hutt gestured to something on the wall. Riku had though it was some art, but people were reacting to it. Was Solo trapped in there?
