I love it how in a link between worlds their was a lot of nostalgia in the game. There are a lot of references to a link to the past making the game feel heavily connected to a link to the past. I hope that zelda u does a references to the sequel or prequel of zelda u, or even references to other zelda games that don't necessarily have to be connected to zelda u to make an appearance. Example: the skyward sword art work Easter eggs in oot 3d.

Well most Zelda games already does that,in every games they reference previous titles.Twilight Princess pretty much has the exact same world as Ocarina of Time, there's Death Mountain,Zora Rver,The Castle Town,Lake Hylia,Gerudo Valley/Desert,etc The Temple of Time appears in a lot of Zelda games.Phantom Houglass had a lot of Wind Waker references and Spirit Tracks is very similar to Phantom Houglass. Minish Cap had remix music from A Link to the Past and even one from the original game.Majora's Mask is very similar to Ocarina of Time,The Oracles games are very similar to Link's Awakening. The Farron,Eldin and Lanayru names locations from Skyward Sword were also in Twilight Princess.A lot of music have been remixes several times thought-out the serie, the list goes on.

So yeah,of course Zelda Wii U will reference the previous games in the serie

I liked it because it wasn't combat focused, and was instead about adventures and puzzles. The only Zelda game I've enjoyed a lot since ALTTP.
