Not too far away from London, England, some time in the 1800's, there is a mansion.
The young lady who lives in this mansion is known as the King's Spawn.
The King's Spawn, named Aya Everus lives with a mysterious butler and her housekeeping servants.

However that butler is not all what he seems. That butler is one hell of a butler, making sure the promise of revenge and protection would be completed before Aya's soul is consumed by this butler.

Many trials await the Everus household, and some are just out of this world.

Name: Aya Everus
Age: 15
Gender: Female
Appearance: Aya is a beautiful young lady who is rather thin and pale. Her bust size is average for her age and her right eye is a vivid blue, and her left a pure yellow-gold color with her contact seal. She has black hair reaching a little past her waist and her hair is rather scruffy. She almost always wears lolita-dresses.She is seen with black eyepatch over her left eye. I know she relates to Ciel, I just have no ideas ;~;

Biography- Aya was sexually abused by her grandfather and was always a silent child because of this. She was afraid of older men and never communicated with her mom. Her parents and grandfather were assassinated, but to this day Aya does not remember by whom. She wants her mother back, because her mother was the only person she loved. Her little cousin lives in Germany.

Anything Else- Aya loves white, blue, and peach colored roses. She likes strawberry cake but it has to be cold. The only tea she likes is warm mint tea. Aya trust her butler more than anyone in the world. She keeps her eyepatch off in the mansion. She has asthma, it acts up especially in the spring and fall.

Alice couldn't help but to walk up curiously. "Will I be joining you as well?!"Alice asked. An adventure with lady Aya and Veran! That did sound exciting. "Well you have your mission. I'll leave you alone to do it."Giotto said smiling as he closed his suitcase and stood up. "You're a feisty little girl for being an earl this young,but the queen knows what she's doing. This is the kind of attitude we need in the agency anyways."Giotto chuckled. He glanced over at Samael. "Come on,we should get going and give them time to prepare and so on."Giotto suggested. "Yes,that is true."Samael said as he stood up. "Finally! It's killing me that I can't smoke in here!"Marco hissed as he turned and quickly made his way to the door. "I'm going to show Samael the ropes of being an investigator while you're away. By then you two will be the youngest members that we have."Giotto smiled. "You flatter me."Samael smiled as he thought. "Oh yeah!"Samael said as he searched in his pockets and walked up to Aya and Veran. "I made pendants for you guys."Samael said as he took out two identical pendants. "I don't know if you believe in runes. But I thought it could also serve as a thank you."Samael said as he handed one to Veran and the other to Aya. "In the rune language,it means protection. Considering you will be dealing with dangerous stuff now. It could be useful one day."Samael chuckling. "Alright,come on Samael."Giotto called. Samael nodded as he gave one last hug to Aya. "Good luck Aya,see you when you guys get back!"Samael smiled as he waved and walked with Giotto. 

Drale leaned on his rake, outside of the manor. He was a little bored. Being a gardener wasn't exactly very interesting. He hoped that Aya wouldn't ask about the rose bush. He really hoped she wouldn't. He was content in the thought that however boring these last few days had been for him, that Aya's must of ave been more boring. Anyone that rich and contented must be bored. He stood up properly, picked up his rake once more, and headed to the garden. He wondered if Aya would let him have a small private garden of his own. He had a few plants in mind for it.

(I felt I may as well post in this every once in a while, unless I'm needed.)

Aya smiled, waving goodbye as the two walked out of the manor.

"Drale! Come here this instant!" She yelled, knowing he was nearby.

"I need my horses from my barn, get them over here quickly with my carriage as well." She snapped at Drale.

Yes, Aya had two black clydesdale horses and a nice black carrige that was comfortable on the inside.

Drale ran over to Aya when he heard his name called. He saluted, and replied, "Yes, my lady!" as he heard her order. He ran over to the barn, to get the horses. He stopped for a few moments to admire them. He had always liked horses, and horse-racing. He saw the carriage, and hitched the two horses two it. He then led the two horses over to where Aya was, and said, "Here you go, my lady." He wondered where she was going, but it wasn't his place to ask.

"Thank you Drale." Aya said simply, entering the carriage.

"Veran, drive us to Geist village." She said simply, closing the door to the carriage.

She should have brought her a jacket, but too late now.

"Mhm." Veran grunted, sitting upon the coach's seat at the front of the carriage. He grasped the reins, a bit too hard, and glanced back at the carriage cabin, "M'lady, are you ready? Be sure not to forget anything, I would hate to have to turn this around."

He smiled, and gently flicked the reins. The horses started a steady trot, but a slow enough pace that Veran could stop if he need be, in the event Aya did forget something.

"Wait." Aya holt Veran.

"Jacket." She said simply, looking at her butler.

"Go get me one quickly please." She snapped.

Aya was being rather demanding this morning.

Marco smoked as he drove the carriage, happy about the fact that he could smoke at all. He was about to go nuts. Inside the carriage Giotto and Samael kept discussing about the job. "Considering that this might end up being a thing that we will have to work on,I think it'd be nice that we should work on it while lady Aya is away. Maybe then you can surprise her when she comes back, yes?"Giotto asked with a sheepish smile. Samael looked out the window lightly. When his soul was consumed his facade of being a child and being happy was absorbed,leaving behind the true Samael,a calm yet happy boy who actually took his work as the head of Pandora seriously,much to the dismay of the impressions he had made in the past. "(I've always been putting up this facade for the sake of my father. But when Veran absorbed my soul, I feel like a weight has lifted from my shoulders.)"Samael thought. He then looked over at Giotto and gave a wary smile. "Oh please,Lady Aya is engaged! I could never try to flirt as such to an engaged lady. I've seen her fiancee before, a very elegant and well known noble. The two of them are sure to make a beautiful couple!"Samael said. Giotto stared silently before speaking. "...that still doesn't stop you from wanting to show off does it?" With that Samael collapsed onto his seat dramatically. "Ah Aya! Such a beautiful rose with thorns so deadly! The rarest of all flowers within the garden of Eden!" "Sa....WHERE YOU GET THAT PHOTO OF HER?!"

 

"Lady Aya~"Alice sung as she ended up climbing onto the side of the carriage with ease and peeked from the window. "Can I come? May I come? May I accompany you and Veran in this crazy adventure? I promise I'll behave! Please please please~"Alice asked in her sweetest voice as sparkles could be seen forming in her eyes,gleaming with hope. She had been away for long,but adventure sounded much more fun than cleaning the house over and over when by the time she would be finished there would be nothing else that would need cleaning. "I won't interrupt and I'll obey and I won't attack anyone and I'll refrain myself from cooking anything."Alice muttered,blurting out stuff that she would and wouldn't do hoping that lady Aya would say yes.

"You are a good fighter and you are loyal too me...I suppose you can go." Aya said simply.

"However, you will be driving this carriage." She said simply.

She wanted Veran to sit with her, and her only.

Aya simply loved her butler.

Veran let out a simple sigh. Aya and her ever changing demands. He got off of the driver's seat, and hoped down to the ground where he swiftly went back into the manor, fetched the coat, and returned to the carriage's cabin where he sat down by his Lady. "You requested myself, m'lady?" He asked, glancing at her with a small smile.

It was a bit interesting how she always wanted him near, and not just because he was useful as a butler. Often it seemed she just wanted the friendly company, and that company was almost always Veran.

Aya grabbed her coat, putting it on her. She didn't care that the black coat clashed with the pink dress. The cost was a little big anyway.

"I would just like you to sit with me." She said simply, hitting the roof of the carriage and signaling Alice to start driving towards the village.

Alice cheered as she jumped onto the carriage and looked down at Drale. "We'll see you when we get back Drale. Take good care of the manor."Alice smiled as she pointed at Drale. "And if I am to find a single speck of dust out of place I will smack you with a broom!"Alice hissed as she looked forward and whistled,having the horses start walking as they ride off and out of the property. It would be a long ride.

Yells,lanterns and pitchforks. That's a normal night for those who have volunteered to explore the surrounding areas of the village at night. Most of them fathers and young men who work on cattle and farming. "Wha!"One of the young boys yelled as he got scared by a jumping frog. "Really? You got scared that easily?"His father smirked. "I-It surprised me,as all!" "Right~ Well you need to toughen up. Otherwise I'd just have to take your little sisters with me on the nightly watch. They seem to be braver than you."The father chuckled. "F-Father!"The boy whined with a growl. Following his father down the path,the young man was easily distracted by passing fireflies. "Oh,hello there."The boy chuckled,watching as the fireflies illuminated in the darkness. Just as he watched them fly his eyes caught glimpse of something,unusual. "WHA! FATHER!" "What is it now,boy?"The father groaned as he walked back to his son. The boy turned to him. "I-I saw something in one of the windows! There was a light! Look,it's right over...huh?"The boy muttered as he pointed at the abandoned manor on top of the hill. It was in complete darkness. "There's nothing there. Could've just been a firefly."The father insisted. "B-But I swear I saw something...the rumors,the legend?" "That's all it is,a myth,I'm telling you that it's most likely some wolf or wild dog gone loose. That place is unlivable anyways. It's been abandoned for decades. Come on now."The father insisted as his son gave one last glance at the manor before following his father along. Inside,by the window where the son had seen the strange appearance,a shadowy figure watched them from above while holding a small candle,something blue within the shadow gleaming due to the candle. With a small whisper,the candle was blown out as the figure disappeared into the darkness.

Alice, Aya, and Veran all arrived at their location safe and sound just before dusk.

They arrived at a small inn and Veran and Aya exit the carriage.

"Alice, please find a place to put the carriage and my horses...safely." She said simply, looking at her most trusted maid.

Aya grabbed onto Veran's arm, looking up st him.

"May we go in?" She asked.

Veran smiled and nodded. Holding his arm, hm? Who was the one being affectionate now?

He chuckled to himself, knowing Aya wouldn't understand why he did. He lead her into the inn, not saying a word, besides the smile on his face that told all that needed to be said. Aya was being quite cute herself, although it was clear she wasn't doing it intentionally, or as teasingly as Veran had been doing it.

The two were assigned a room to stay in for the night after Aya paid. Of course they wouldn't really be spending the night in this quant little place. They just got it for mainly somewhere to stay at before and after their mission. They would be back in time for breakfast the next morning.

"You still have the files I gave you?" Aya asked, looking at Veran.

She got ahold of them easily. Aya opened them to see...

Alice cheered as she jumped onto the carriage and looked down at Drale. "We'll see you when we get back Drale. Take good care of the manor."Alice smiled as she pointed at Drale. "And if I am to find a single speck of dust out of place I will smack you with a broom!"Alice hissed as she looked forward and whistled,having the horses start walking as they ride off and out of the property. It would be a long ride.

"A broom? Surely she can't be serious, right? Then again... I'd better not take any chances," Drale thought to himself.  "I am in charge? Nah, I probably am just going to be in trouble if I do... anything, really," he thought to himself again. He then walked into the the manor, and looked for dust out of place.

"Roger that,milady!"Alice smiled as she whistled and drove the horses off. The village wasn't extremely small,but it could be of no bigger than around 200 to 300 inhabitants. There were houses,stores,stables,an Inn,a restaurant among other places within what would seem the main plaza of the town. As the town stretched out land owned by farmers for crops and cattle were separated by either wooden fences or stone fences. At the far east of the town there was a very small forest area,and a bit beyond that a large hill which the abandoned manor stood,which easily overlooked the entire town. Being almost dusk there were not many people outside,but those who were couldn't help but to notice the sight of the fancy looking carriage. Alice drove it to a large stable. "Hello there~"Alice said cheerfully. The older looking man who was stacking up some hay glanced over to her. "Welcome. Strange to see new faces around here. Passing by for the night?"He asked. "I guess so. I was wondering if I could settle the carriage and horses within your stables?"Alice asked. "Sure thing,there's plenty of space to go around."The man said as he pushed some doors open for the indoor stable and Alice parked the carriage next to the stalls where the horses would be staying. "Thank you very much."Alice said. "No problem. We don't get a lot of visitors around here. Though you should leave as soon as you can. Some people have been disappearing."The man commented. "Disappearing?"Alice asked. "Yeah,it's always around this time of year but we don't know what it is...I hear it's a monster in the manor."The man whispered.

 

Within the files there were profiles of the missing detectives and the few that have been found dead. From the missing around 3 police men around the nearby city. Found dead were the rest 2 police men and one child,all three found within the forest road leading to the manor and with bite marks all around them. Parts of their bodies seemed to have been eaten off before being discarded and found. One of the profiles also included one of the private detectives that worked under the queen. A young man by the name of Aoba Hollington. According to the profile he was sent to look after the disappearances of the police men until he himself disappeared,never returning nor contacting anyone outside the place. The files also included a small summary of what the town's people have reported: all spoke about the mysterious lights and figures within the abandoned mansion,of how some men have wondered inside and came back out with their pants wet yelling about it being haunted,also how the dead police men were going to investigate the mansion and were found dead days later due to the stench of death and decomposed bodies. On the top of the resume was the name of the one in charge of the town,a lady by the name of Sarka. Speaking of the devil; "Citizens are to be home by curfew! Anyone caught outside without a permit will be suspected of the current disappearances! This is for for your own good!" A young yet elegant looking lady stood on the balcony of the village's church,yelling down. "Curfew starts at the sound of the bell! Remember!"

"I don't care about the curfew, we are going out after the bell." Aya said simply, a small smirk on her face.

"The mansion is where we have to go. It is apparently haunted." she said, looking up at Veran.

"Aoba Hollington, private detective to the queen. He went missing here too." Aya seriously muttered, placing the files on the bed.

"Are you ready to go, Veran?" she asked at the sounding of the bell. 

"I am always ready." Veran replied, smiling to her.

It was true. It was one of the many perks Aya had for having Veran as her butler. He was always ready, no matter how off-the-wall or insane the day's events maybe. Robotic teddy bears invade? Veran can deal with it by brunch. Zombies? Hah, Veran is a demon. Those things have nothing on him.

"Let us go, before we lose any more time."

Aya looked up at Veran, silent for a second.

"Carry me." She snapped, a small blush on her face already.

She could boss Veran around however she wanted to.

They didn't have any time to loose anyway.

((I foresee interesting things in Veran and Aya's future.))

 

Veran smirked, easily and quickly her up as if she weighed nearly nothing, "Well, as my Lady wishes, so it shall be."

With that, and an ever larger smirk, Veran carried her off to this 'haunted' mansion, or so it was called. Honestly, even if it was haunted, what good would a couple of ghouls and lost souls do against the very thing that devours souls?

Not much.

Deep down, Aya really didn't want to go to this place. She hated this job so much.

"Let's just hurry up and get this stupid mission over with." She said seriously.

Aya and Veran arrived at the mansion safely, Alice would find them eventually.

Alice made her way out of the stable after she made sure the horses were alright where they were. Walking over to where Veran and Aya had headed in,she was stopped by a perky character of the town. "Wait,waaaait~" Alice turned to see Sarka hurry up to her. "You shouldn't be outside at this time of hour! Have you not heard of the deaths and disappearances?...who are you?"Sarka asked as she tilted her head. Alice straightened herself up. "My name is Alice. I am here with my lady,who has been assigned to work on this case of the missing people."Alice explained. "Ah! They finally sent someone else?! What a relief! We need to find out whatever is happening so we can stop it!"Sarka said as she waved a fan over her face. "Right...I've heard rumors about the abandoned manor?"Alice asked. "Oh that would be an old wives tales,that manor has been abandoned for decades! Far more years than before I was born too! But...after so many gone missing I'm starting to worry the rumors and legends might be true. Your lady doesn't plan on going inside the manor,does she?!"Sarka asked. "Well I'm guessing she's hoping to considering it's the biggest lead..." "Oh I do hope you all manage to come out safe and alive. If you manage to find the suspect as well...we'll be ever so grateful."Sarka said. "Er,right."Alice said as Sarka turned away and started to walk. "I do hope to see you alive by the time you get back."Sarka said as she gave a wave. "Tata~ Oh yeah,I saw them walking over there already. You should hurry!" With that she entered the court building and closed the door behind her. Alice glanced over at the manor. As the sun was setting down it was...rather eerie. She hurried over to the manor,quickly arriving right next to Veran and Aya. "My pardons milady!"Alice said as she cached her breath. She glanced up. The manor seemed to be in a state of decay,yet sturdy enough to keep itself standing. Windows were broken,the front was overgrown,the wood could easily be broken with enough force of how rotten some of it was. "This is it,right?"Alice muttered as she gulped. "I'll open it."Alice said as she reached for the door and pushed it open,having the old door squeak as it revealed the dim,darkened,and dusty interior of the manor. It was covered in spider webs from corner to corner,surely there were a few rats around. Dust everywhere. As the sunlight came through the window,the half broken chandelier gleamed with clouded crystals,the other half resting on the floor beneath it in broken pieces. Two grand stairs that led to the second floor. There were statues and paintings and photos still hanging the walls. "If the manor looked like this back at home I would be having a heart attack."Alice whispered as she covered her nose lightly,taking a few steps inside. The curtains seemed torn and worn out as they gently swayed back and forth. From the shadows a figure stood watching. Visitors? Why they would need to be driven out.
