I Think This Is A Pretty Smart Idea

Posted

I'm thinking of publishing all my stuff independent and on the web, so it won't suffer the cruel fate of executive meddling.

Cause there are many great stories that suffered this fate and unfortunately got cancelled because of it, here are some examples:

Firefly

Motorcity

Batman Beyond (i think it got cancelled, did it get cancelled? I think it got cancelled.)

What do you think of this idea? Is it any good? Comment below

yes and no, it's harder to get payed but if you're doing it for fun then sure I guess? also if you have someone helpful as your higher up then criticism is always helpful and pushing you in the right direction. I know from my perspective I always like to have people tell me what they like/ dislike about my stuff :D

you can have that as well if you're independent and both options have their ups and downs. Just go with it I guess :)

For fun, yes its a great idea to publish on the internet! Some sites even let you get paid!

Just keep in mind that you would make more money through a regular publisher, and you're story is less likely to get physically published and paid for if it is posted online.

However i just adddoorreee internet writers / independant writers and its a good way for them to get discovered.
