The day was hot and murky in the town. That seemed indifferent to Haru, as he was deep in his studies, flipping through the book for his English class at the school library. He sighed, and looked out the window. "That feeling won't leave..." He looked left and right, but still felt something was a bit... Off... Maybe he should go to the Cafe.... He heard coffee calms nerves

 

Watari worked the cafe as he owned it, with pride and care. He prepared some coffee from future recipients, human or non. Like all ghouls, he could smell ghoul from human, and knew how to act accordingly for both. He went upstairs to check on his employees/room owners, beckoning Lyle, a ghoul immigrant from America, to take over.

 

The owner of the gourmet hall looked out the window, and waited in anticipation to hear about a new delicacy.... He could feel that something... New... Would come soon....

He wily tell her to stop. He would shove her away. He would do anything...but his body felt numb, unresponsive. He couldn't talk, blood was filling his lungs, letting out tiny whimpers.

Libi looked up and glanced over at Watari,quickly responding his question. "O-Oh no,I'm fine really,I can wait until dinner time."Libi said as she waved her hands lightly as she skated over to the table and picked up the dishes and left over food. When she first had to get used to hunting she was a wreck. She could attract the prey but couldn't seem to force herself to kill it. Eventually with mentoring from Watari,and the feeling of hunger,she finally managed to drive herself to successfully hunt and kill her first victim. It was a 20 something year old who she'd met at the park earlier that day. She killed him mid scream before eating him up and throwing what was left into the lake. Only moments later a strong scent went up her nostrils,making her pause for just a brief moment. "(Blood.)" She glanced around. It seemed the ghoul had made sure on its promise.

Ren continued biting skin off of Haru, eating it as soon as it was peeled off. Her shirt began to get bloody, but Ren not showing mercy as she ripped the skin from Haru and feasting.

Ren stopped for a second, looking at Haru.

"You are such a weakling, but I dont like fighting." She saif with a smile.

Haru looked in shock, internally screaming in panic, as she went deeper into his body, gnawing away at his skinn then through it, all the way to the organs. Some teatacles shot out of her back, and dove into his gaping wound, pulling out his organs for her to feast. He couldn't see anything, except a strange figure...in a mask? The figure whacked the girl repeatedly, and his eyes got heavier with every whack.

Lucifer followed silently from behind.

 

"The nerve of that girl. She was pretty cute, too.".

 

His wound instantly recovered, as he followed them into an alleyway, but the scene was different than what he expected.

 

"Oy oy, take it easy, Dove trash."

 

A dove was repeatedly beating Ren, while the human was near death from blood loss.

 

"Now tell me, what's worse than-"

 

And with a smirk, he rushed the dove, kicking him into a wall.

 

"You alright, kid?" Lucifer asked, while picking up the girl by her hand. Haru, on the other hand, obviously needed medical attention.

Libi glanced at the clock. Tik tok it went. The scent of human blood was only getting much more overwhelming by the passing minute. "U-Um,Watari?"Libi asked as she smiled slightly. "I-I think I'll go get dinner now."Libi muttered. The sun was setting. Soon it would be dark. She would have to indeed feast upon a human within the next hour or two. But before that she needed to do something about that...overwhelming scent. She picked up her back which had the mask in it and took off her apron,folding it and settling it on the side as she took off her rollerblades,replacing them with some cute heeled boots that matched her dress. "I'll be back and take the night shift if I need to!"Libi added as she waved and hurried out the door. Oh how the scent of the blood made her STARVE. It almost turned her on. But she knew better. She had to control herself. She'd get her food,eventually. Following the scent was rather easy for a ghoul like her. She didn't hesitate as she took a few turns into one of the isolated ally ways. The scene was rather crazy,or atleast,unusual for the sun yet to go down even if it was at the moment. Two ghouls,one dove,and one human at the verge of death. His blood was spreading like honey on bread,smoothly and easily. Libi had to get a hand to her nose to keep herself from launching at the kid. She didn't want to eat a kid! Adults yes,but children were too young! Times like this she wished she wasn't the predator. But then again,there was that dove,the type of humans she feared the most. But as long as she acted well...human,she should be fine right? She hoped so. "Shit,this is bad."Libi couldn't help but to mutter as she walked over to the two ghouls,almost with a glare. "C-Couldn't you have finished the kid quicker?! The poor kid is suffering as he is!"Libi asked whispering at Ren,glancing back and forth from Ren to the dove,readying herself to attack the dove if she had to.

Watari noticed that Libi had left in such a hurry, she had forgotten her keys to the house. He decided to call the girl.

"Nyanyanyanayn~" There went her cellphone. Libi hurried to answer it,despite the current situation. "Hello? Watari?"Libi asked. Then it hit her. "Oh!"She grunted as she facepalmed gently. "The keys!"She remembered,hissing as he groaned to herself. She had to pay more attention otherwise it'd be the end of her. "Gah...I think I can find a way to sneak back in through a window,like I did last time."Libi said with a nervous chuckle as she glanced down,seeing as the blood reached her heels and just kept spreading. "Ugh!"Libi shivered as she almost dropped her phone,but managed to keep it from falling. "Er,I'll find a way to sneak in again,currently..."Libi muttered as she glanced back at Haru. She knew that Watari was going to scold her if she told him that she was going to get herself involved in trying to help a human,what they would consider a food source. "...I think I found my lunch."Libi chuckled nervously as she closed her flip phone and got it away,hurrying over to Haru and kneeling down next to him. "I'm sorry you had to die this way."Libi muttered.

Haru looked at her, pleading eyes, if he could form tears...show some signs... He heard sirens, as he looked up and saw a man or woman on the top floor, her lights on.

Ren stood up, stabbing Lucifer with her Kagune in the leg, then immidently stabbed Libi in the back.

"I hate fighting for my food." She yelled.

Ren picked up her jacket, putting it on and picking up Haru, dashing out of the alley.

"Dont die yet Haru, it is my job to make you die." Ren said, running at full speed, stabbing those in her way with her Kagune.

Lucifer looked hatefully at Ren.

 

"You arse, can't you think about anything other than food! Gluttony is the third circle of hell, idiot!"

 

With a snap of his fingers, Lucifer's wing kagune burst out of his back, and he dove toward Haru, scooping him into his arms.

 

Blood spat out of his mouth, but he managed to groan, "Ghouls.... are the worst. I won't let you die like my parents."

 

After reaching a good 10 feet, the raven haired boy managed to scoff, "Girls... I hate to ruin a good fight, but you do know there's a dove right there, right?". The dove seemed to assume everyone was on the same side, which he could use to his advantage. Right wing crystalizing, he flung shards at Ren.

Ren was hit with one of the shards. Ren looked at Lucifer, wrapping a tentacle around him and pulling Lucifer towards her.

"Look, make a deal with me. You take care of little Haru and me and this other girl will get rid of the stupid CCG." She said with a smirk.

"Ooooh? But betrayal is the last gate of hell, a place you will definitely go to if we do this." he sneered

 

 

Lucifer calculated the odds. Hungry girl. Betrayal. Wound. Betrayal. Bubbly girl. Dove. Betrayal. Human. Betrayal. Blood. Betrayal.

 

"Screw it," he thought to himself, "I'll just go with the most collateral damage."

 

He tilted his head to the side playfully.

 

"Okay, arigatou-mais~" while tossing the boy over to Ren. Calculating his aim, he flung shards at the dove's arm, causing him to drop his quinque. It was enough to give Libi an advantage, but not by a landslide. "Libi-chan, please finish him off. I'd like to see that bird sent quickly to whichever bird-kepper he believes in." And with a bow, he smiled at Ren.

 

"Food for the thought, Ren-chan?"

Libi coughed up blood as she hissed,glaring at Ren for stabbing her in the back. What a backstabber! "I...wasn't going to steal your damn food!"Libi yelled as she stood up and felt as her skin sizzled,already starting to heal. Though she knew it would take a while. Watari was not going to end up liking this. But right now she had bigger problems. The dove was standing up and about to attack. Thanks to the ghoul from above the dove had dropped its weapon. Libi didn't hesitate. She dashed forward at the dove,who jumped back only to feel the wall,but quickly used the wall to his advantage to jump against it and jump over Libi,landing behind her while picking up his quinque,landing on his feet and pointing it at Libi,a sharp blade forming as it went straight to her. Libi formed her koukaku kagune,releasing it as in a form of metalic layers,wrapping it around her arm as she rose it to defend herself. As the sword struck Libi's arm was covered up in her armor type of kagune,the arm also forming a sort of shield as the sword didn't do much justice. The dove manipulated his quinque as it started to wrap around Libi's arm. Libi smirked as she used it to her advantage,grabbing the quinque and pulling it forward her unexpectedly,having the dove being pulled over to her and off his feet. As he fell Libi's other arm became covered,the kagune forming the armor of the arm into a sharp blade at the end,and just like that she jabbed it upwards at the falling dove,having the blade go straight through the dove's head just seconds before he would've hit the ground. The dove's hands fell to his side as he dropped his weapon,his body becoming limp as blood started to drip down on the floor,mixing with Haru's blood. Libi was a delicate looking figure,but her kagune proved that she could pack a punch when she needed to,even if it was more of a defense type of kagune. Libi licked her lips slightly as she couldn't seem to help herself,and as she pulled the corpse closer to her she started to eat it,ripping skin and tasting the sweet blood and chewy flesh. She hoped Haru wasn't looking. The kid shouldn't witness such atrocity.

Watari came walking down the street to meet up with her, and to get ingredients for the shop. Sensing the trio, he walked over to see what was going on. To his surprise, quite a ruckus had transpired...

Libi was eating up the freshly killed dove as if it was the yummiest piece of food she'd had in a while. Slurping up the small pieces of flesh as her teeth ripped and slashed apart from the bone and muscle,chewing as she twirled the veins and arteries with her tongue,her face covered in the dove's blood. She was always a messy eater. Biting down on the shoulder she was almost stopped as her teeth met against the bone,but that didn't stop her from biting down hard enough that there was a loud CRACK from her breaking the bone. She used the top set of her teeth to scrape the muscle off the bone,having it ripple and layer up as Libi pulled on it and chewed up loudly with glee,a slight blush on her cheeks that was easily covered up by the blood. She would need a shower after this. Libi stopped for a moment to look around her,only to see Watari standing there. "GAH"Libi squeaked as she dropped the body down on the ground. She hated being watched while she ate,mostly because she didn't look lady like at all. Now she had been caught red handed,quite literally in quite a mess involving two other ghouls and a now dead dove who she had been eating for the past five minutes,having half of his upper body almost down to the bone rather quickly. "D-Don't look while I eat I'm a messy eater! I promise to wash up before going inside the shop too!"Libi said as she felt embarrassed being seen pig out the hell out of the dove's body which didn't made her look as lady like as she'd like.

Ren sat Haru down, she would have to get a new jacket, this one was incredibly bloody.

"I kinda feel sorry for the boy. Haru is only a child." She said to Lucifer.

"Plus he is skinny. I would want to eat something with more fat on it." Ren said seriosuly.

Watari walked up to Haru, and looked at them both. This didn't feel right...a boy with such life...it was fading away slowly... "I'll call the good doctor..." He said, taking out his phone. "I will break the rules this once..." He sighed. "Time like these, I remember my rebellious years..." He looked at the girl. "You stay here... Theremay be a way for you to get rid of that regret..."

Lucifer smiled to himself. He had expected the girl to betray him. Luckily, Libi had taken the dove with ease, and Watari was here. More doves would definitly come, though. This ward might even be put on lockdown.

 

A curious thought passed him, making Lucifer scratch his head. Being a half ghoul gave him insight into this.

 

"Do you mean to transplant a piece of Ren into Haru-boy over there?" Lucifer didn't even bother to make a bible quote. "How would he adapt to the circumstances?"

He nodded. "We can only wait and hope..." He sighed.

"Woah, what?!" Ren yelled suddenly.

"Good luck even trying." She said in a rather cocky tone, her eyes shifting back to normal, then looking at Libi.

"You're such a hog." She mocked.

Libi made quick on eating the dove,wanting to get the embaressment of being watched eat over with. She had to make her fill last for the month otherwise she'd have to hunt earlier and that would mess up her already neat schedule. She didn't like wasting a good source of food either. Because of such as she ate she made sure to scrape straight down to the bone,making sure she got every artery,muscle,tendon,and anything else within the human body that was connected,leaving only bloody bones behind for the dove's family to bury. She didn't touch the head though. She hated the head. One because she didn't exactly digested hair very well,nor it tasted as good,and secondly it was a way to leave the victim with whatever dignity it had left as by the time Libi was fully done it looked as if a tank of pirhanas had gone wild against it. Eating what she was pretty sure was her own weight in human skin,plus a bit more,she licked her bloody fingers clean as she muttered a few curses under her breath. Sometimes she wished she was a gourmet just because she wouldn't look like a pig when eating. She growled up at Ren,sticking out her tongue at her. "Baka! I'd like to see how you eat!"Libi barked at Ren. She then stopped as she glanced over at Haru and Watari. "Wait,transplant,wouldn't that mean,we'd make this kid into..."Libi muttered as she trailed off. Either live as a half-ghoul or die. Live and eat human flesh...or die. You could live,but then again you could die as a human. Decisions decisions. "Watari."Libi muttered as she stood up. "If the selfish ghoul won't donate her part,then I will. It's the least I can do for getting the poor kid involved in this mess."Libi said.

"Truly, you both are honorable... He heard a van backing into the alley. "Get in." A man said, smoking a special cigar, ground bone dust, among other things. "It's fine. He said, pointing at he cigar. Once Watari opened up the door, the inside looked like a makeshift ER van, IV drips, scalpes, etc.

Libi used part of her dress to wipe any blood off her mouth and face,not wanting to look that bad. "Oh a mysterious man in a van has arrived into a dark alley in the middle of the now turning dusk. Let's totally go inside,maybe he has candy!"Libi smiled as she giggled at her own joke. The free-caring ghoul as bubbly as ever,regardless the serious seeming circumstances that surrounded them. What a turn of events had transpired here. "If we do this we better make it quick before anymore doves come in. Once they find out that they'e missing one they're bound to come and try to find him...atleast what's left of him anyways."Libi chuckled as she glanced back at the pile of bones and severed head and then back at the van,seeing all of the medical equipment inside. "Ohh~ This looks so cool!"Libi muttered in awe as she looked at the makeshift ER. "Seeing things like this makes me want to become a doctor. But I don't think I'd be a very good doctor. I'd be afraid to end up eating my patients I think. Hehe."Libi smiled as her body returned to normal,the layered like weaponry on her skin disappearing as Libi glanced over at the man. "I've never seen you before but you must be a friend of Watari's. I'm Libi."Libi smiled as she looked back inside the van. "I'll volunteer to help the kid. We got him involved into this hellhole of a mess. So we should fix it. It wouldn't be fair for such a young life to be ended so quickly,not after the ghoul has decided that it wasn't a proper meal."Libi said glancing at Ren as she spoke that last sentence.

Ren's eyes shift once more, her kagune sprouting from her back and head straight towards Libi, the tentacles stopped just about a couple of inches away from her face.

"If anyone makes Haru a half-ghoul it is going to be me. After all I did take the first bite. It could be payment for almost eating the poor thing." She snapped at Libi, obviously angry.
