The day was hot and murky in the town. That seemed indifferent to Haru, as he was deep in his studies, flipping through the book for his English class at the school library. He sighed, and looked out the window. "That feeling won't leave..." He looked left and right, but still felt something was a bit... Off... Maybe he should go to the Cafe.... He heard coffee calms nerves

 

Watari worked the cafe as he owned it, with pride and care. He prepared some coffee from future recipients, human or non. Like all ghouls, he could smell ghoul from human, and knew how to act accordingly for both. He went upstairs to check on his employees/room owners, beckoning Lyle, a ghoul immigrant from America, to take over.

 

The owner of the gourmet hall looked out the window, and waited in anticipation to hear about a new delicacy.... He could feel that something... New... Would come soon....

Lucifer groaned, watching the transpired events from inside the van. He'd donate something, but the only ghoul part he had was his right eye.

 

"Haha, here I was, about to tell you to talk responsibility for our child, Ren-Chan, but Libi was kind enough to offer herself."

 

 

He walked over to the boy, taking a knife and a tube. Slowly, he slit the throat, and then inserted the tube into the boy's throat, pumping an air bag that was at the end. "Don't worry, I was the head of my class in Physical Anatomy."

 

Lucifer passed a scapel to the shifty man as both of them put on surgeon gowns and masks.

 

"Haru probably wont make it to the hospital, so we might have to start now." He deduced. "As a gourmet, Ren might be a better choice, for self control. Better to sniff, and enter the kingdom of heaven, than to chop off a human's hand, and enter hell. "

 

Lucifer managed to finally make a joke. He didn't want anyone to realize how distressed he was.

The doctor took the scalpel. His kagune extended, and poked a hole Rens arm, exposing the vein, and got another IV and needle, and put it in the hole.  Watari got out, being careful to not mess up the equipment, and went into the driver, and started to drive, carefully away from the scene.

Haru's wound was being covered by Lucifer, but the blood loss had taken its toll. Pale and cold, he could pass for a corpse. "Well ladies, we need a sample. Why not from one of each?" The half-ghoul inquired. "Both of you could even be the imaginary angel and demon on his shoulder when he gets hungry."

 

Being a half-ghoul was an intriguing experience. The donor always happened to be behind your shoulder, tempting you to feast. Lucifer's was the worse, but he managed to block the thoughts by pretending it was from God. Defying God's orders, he liked that. He really did.

Carefully slicing the boy's abdomen open, he held the liver, nonchalant. "Errr.... I think that was my fault from tossing him earlier. Needs replacement. Dried out."

"F***ing hell!" Ren yelled, almost kicking the doctor where the sun never shines.

"Maybe you could warn me next time you @$$hole!" She yelled.

"I will replace that, Libi can replace something else." Ren called, looking at Haru.

She should have just ate him.

"Jeezus..." The doctor said, and sighed, putting his mask on, which doubled as a surgical mask. "He needs..." He swore underneath his breath. "Well, to be positive, he has a heart, and his face ain't messed up." He said, scratching his head. "He needs a lung, and..a...kidney as well. The rest can be fixed." He looked at them both, and sighed. "You will all grow those back, so no problem on your parts. You two wont get anesthesia, unfortunate.." He better get paid for this...  

"Ooooo, with an attitude. Haru'll love this." Lucifer chirped, patting Ren's head with his kagune. Yes, he would use his kagune for something as stupid as that. And for the fact that she might kick him next, he'd need protection.

 

There was a benefit though. His left wing went into the incision he made, softly groping each organ for damage. Very unorthodox. Very stupid.

 

"Hmm, the kid needs a kidney. Get it? Libi could toss one. Ren's got the liver. Everything else is fine." He sighed, laziness getting to him. Maybe one day, he would befriend the trio, and live happily. It definitely wouldn't be today, though.

 

Lucifer nodded to the doctor. "Seems legit. Shall we start now? A few more minutes, and he might get brain damage. I certainly won't be donating for that."

"I've been waiting this entire time." He sighed. 

 

(You can all write in his mind sometimes, the consciousness thing and all.)

"I've got the liver, Pinky-head gets the kidney, Devil worshipper gets the Lung." Ren said seriously.

"Did we even intorduce yet?" She muttered to herself.

Ren froze when she heard there would be no anesthesia.

"You damned man! You better hope you have health and life insurance because by the time you are done with this they might have to call another doctor because you will be suffering a pain worse than death!" She yelled.

Ren was obviously not happy with this

Libi rubbed the back of her head. She felt cramped all of them being together in the back of the ER van while it was driven away. "So he need a kidney,a lung,and a whole bunch of other stuff. Jeez you could've just asked me earlier and I would've spared the body parts from the dove I just ate. Even though those were the best and yummiest parts,but I could've totally spared those."Libi groaned to herself. Maybe she needed to go on a diet. Less muscle,more tendons and intestines. Who knows. Libi looked around as she had the tip of her fingers get covered in her kagume,having it be a sharp layer of armor. "Gotta love that part of being a ghoul."Libi muttered as she glanced at Haru. "Don't worry kid. We'll fix you up."Libi said as she turned around to see one of the many posters in the van which had pictures of where the organs were located. "Lets see...the kidney should be around...here."Libi said as she used her finger and slit the side of her body,grunting only slightly as she opened it up and blood poured down onto the floor,the open wound gashing out. "Doctor,you better the kidney before I end up throwing a fit~"Libi said rather cheerfully,though it was obvious that she did it in order to hide the obvious pain that this was going to end up bringing. "Now now,no need to fuss darling. You should be grateful that you recover naturally when these humans don't."Libi muttered as she reached into her side,opening the cut up largely as you could see the working organs inside. "Just cut it out,doc. I've gone through worse."

"Then let us begin." Lucifer moaned. He had a gigantic laziness strike right now.

 

 

Using his kagune, he almost made a swift blow against the back of Ren's neck. "Oy. I am not a devil worshiper. I am..." He tossed his arms to the side in a dramatic motion, "A fallen angel~! Besides, under certain religions, I AM the devil."

 

He turned to Libi. "Wait.... but.... I could've.... screw it." And with a thrust, he took out one of his lungs. Blood soaked out like a fountain, luckily, he turned around at the last minute. And with that, he got to work. Slicing Haru's chest with precision, he injected anesthesia into his arm, then proceeded to slice off the boy's lung.

 

"Doc, help me out here, da....mmit."

"LAdy, you are the only one beside the patient that has anesthesia! " He groaned at Ren. "Glad to have a volunteer. He went over to libi, and cut it carefully, and at a medium pace. HE only needed one organ of a ghoul, and then hopefully, the healing factor would kick in. Then, he placed it in the boys body, and began to sow it in."Left side, there's a bag of snacks for you idiots..." He started to sweat a bit. 

 

(Blades cant hurt the skin, so say its your kagune instead of a scalpel.)

"Whaatt?! Snacks?!" Ren said imminently , snatching the bag of snacks and beggining to pick out muscle.

She cut her upper stomach with her Kagune, showing her liver.

"Here the thing is, p-please get it quickly." Ren said, wincing in pain.

However Ren continued munching into the bag of human organs and muscle. She was distracted so she wasnt pitching a fit

"Wait.... what? Only one? God dammmmmm-"

 

Lucifer lay flat on the floor of the van. Or at least, tried. He didn't even know anymore. It'd take minutes for the self-inflicted wound to heal. A thought popped into him, though.

 

"Let's just all donate something. I have this lung out in the raw, just. Just. I don't know." He started to crack up, biting his thumb to contain the laughter. Thoughts of his childhood flashed by. Innocent laughter. Would Haru still be the same after this?

 

Lucifer stood up, grabbed a pocky, and threw it into his mouth. "Tastes like.... a piece of wire. A gummy wire."

 

 

With a deep exhale, he finally got himself together. " It'll take a while if we only replace his kidney with Libi's. He'll regenerate faster if we replace everything he needs. There might be organ rejection, but he's in limbo, right now. I'd say its a 55 to 45 chance if he takes it."

 

 

(This would be a good time to portray Haru floating in limbo like Kaneki.)

He looking at The devil boy with tired eyes, and nodded. He was too focused for sarcasm, and took Lucifer, since he seemed to be in the most pain, then went for ren. This could be done a bit faster, since Libis organ seemed to be doing something.  "Ghhh...GHHHH!!" Haru moaned.  seemed to be rejecting it a bit, starting to flail.  "Restrain." He told them. "RESTRAIN!!" 

 

Haru felt like he was drifting...slowly....down into the dark, and he couldn't stop it. He couldn't move... But then he felt something... pushing him up... It felt warm....strange...he could move his eyelids, but couldn't look behind him...voices....

The van was such a bloody mess, it would make a blood mage proud. Lucifer limped toward the boy, using his kagune wing to hold down his waist as he grabbed on to his right arm. Blood was still leaking from his chest like a runny faucet, both of them, but they'd definitely survive the ordeal.

 

 

"Hey guys," The fallen angel asked, "what blood type are you? Oh wait.... there's supposed to be a... condition where...yeah, never mind. My point is, immune system is rejecting. More immuno-suppressant drugs, stat."

 

Lucifer coughed up. "It's like a bloody medical drama, g-get it? Libi... get the needle. Syringe. The red one over there. Someone."

Libi felt as blood fell down her nose as the blood that went to the missing kidney just needed somewhere to go out from. "Oi,my own blood doesn't taste as good as humans. I don't like this at all."Libi said as she licked the blood off from her upper lip. Libi,regardless the pain,remained rather calm for someone who had just taken a kidney out without anasthetic. Libi picked up the syringe and handed it over to Lucifer. "I think you might need to change the color scheme of the van once we get done with all of this,doc."Libi chuckled as she helped out with the drugs and getting it into Haru's system. Needless to say,Haru was a very,very,very lucky human boy. "You know. I kind of like this,despite the pain and misery we're sort of suffering currently."Libi said as she pressed the bag of the liquid medicine so it would start to flow. "Seeing three ghouls working together in order to save the life of a human child. We should be written down in history books."Libi said with a smile as she pressed the bag more,getting blood all over it. "Allow me to help you clean the van after this,doc."Libi offered as she glanced at Lucier. "You're very smart too. Are you going to be a doctor for humans anytime soon?"Libi asked as she carefully walked around without slipping on the blood. There was so much it had all mixed and it was impossible to tell which blood belonged to who anymore. "It would take great patience to be able to be a ghoul doctor with human patients. Hehe."

He nodded, and cracked his neck. "Sure, thought about it." He wheeled the boy out safely.  IT was then the others realized they were back at the cafe with Lyod with a mop with some other workers, operating  on 'cleaning duty'. "We will take him to the room on the second floor,"

Lucifer's wound was almost gone now, which allowed him to sober up.

 

 

"Why thank you," he smiled with a half-bow, "I'm still in high school, studying to become a doctor. It's always been my dream as a child to help people, really."  the teen titled his back for a bit, before suturing Haru's chest. "Hah, us in history books. The whole district would be burned down. We should keep this our secret. Not many people know I'm a half ghoul, either."

 

Lucifer lay back for a well deserved rest, now that the hard work was over. "Wipe his head with a moist cloth, keep him hydrated for now." This day was certainly unexpected. The fighting. The teamwork. And especially, turning a human into a ghoul. They could even form a group of four, like that tv show that was airing right now.  "Team Lib-He-RaL." He whispered.

 

 

Lucifer was suddenly disgusted with himself. Helping ghouls. Murderers. He grew to understand them these past months, but revenge was always on his mind. He... he....

 

 

The van opened revealing them to be at the cafe. "OH, we're back already? Here, I'll push the wheelchair."

Libi smiled. "Yay we're back home!"Libi cheered laughing as she jumped out of the van,watching as the blood from the floor dripped down onto the asphalt beneath them like a waterfall. "I'll go ahead and help up with the cleaning down here then~"Libi said cheerfully as she could feel herself getting better and back to her usual self. She had a full stomach and her kidney was more than likely to be fully recovered within the next 30 minutes. So she felt great. "A half-ghoul."Libi muttered as she picked up one of the mops and rested against it. "I long to hear the story of your life, which must captivate the ear strangely!"Libi said dramatically as she spun with the bloody mop and stroke a pose,quoting from Shakespeare's The Tempest,in hopes of mimicking of how Lucifer quoted his own quotes from places. After a few seconds Libi couldn't help but to start giggling at herself. "But you're right,we better keep this secret to ourselves. The world must never find out of our exsistanse for as along as we can keep it that way,for,Hell is empty and all the devils are here. All in the form of Ghouls,and humans following their sins."Libi said,once more quoting part of The Tempest as she then started to wipe around with the mop. "Clean up~ Clean up~ Happy happy clean up~"Libi sung as she spun around and happily cleaned. Just another day for a cheerful ghoul.

Lucifer smiled as he pushed the wheel chair into the cafe. "Am I really that annoying!?" the teen yelled playfully. It seems he made a friend in a ghoul. It felt nice, despite past encounters. "Ja~nae~ Bye~bye!" And with that, the wheelchair was pushed into the elevator. Laying his back against the wall, a sigh was elicited from his mouth. The white haired boy seemed to be regaining consciousness.

 

"Hey. It's me. Lucifer. Look, when you get up, you go real slow, ok? I mean like Driving Ms. Daisy, none of that Dale Earnhardt crap."

(So guys, I'm allowing you to talk with your concise into haru's body. Because of the organ transplant, different 'yous' are in his head. If that helps.)

 

Haru was going to be carried into a bed, cleaned, and placed into an area originally intended for humans to stay, with human food and drinks. He was going to learn, and he wouldn't understand if he was just told. His eye twitched, looking left and right, and shot open, moving around even more. The birth of the Half ghoul.

(Oh that makes much more sense now)

 

Libi cleaned the van with mops,sponges and lots of water from a few hoses. Making sure that the blood went down the drain before reaching any suspecting eyes. Libi scrubbed the blood from the smallest corners and between the doors and floor. It looked like there had been a fullblown massacre inside that van. They wouldn't be that far from the truth. Libi wiped some sweat from her forehead as she glanced her reflection against the cafe's windows. "Eh?! I'm a mess!!!"Libi complained. Her usually well done hair was out of place here and there. Her dress had turned from its pink shade to a crimson red,pretty much bathed in blood along with patches of wet and dry blood all over her skin. Her heels looked like they were the murder weapons of a homicide. "I need a shower and a book."Libi said as she wrapped her arms around herself before squishing the blood out of the sponge into a bucket.

 

 

"Haru. That's your name. I said it right,right? I think I did? Did I said it right?" In his concise,standing next to him,stood Libi. This time she wasn't covered from head to toe in blood. This version was a clean,non-bloody version. However her eyes didn't look human. The white of her eyes were black,and the irisis were red. "Don't be scared by my eyes. Surely you've seen Ren's. This is a sign that we are ghouls. Though we hide it,it always comes out when we activate our kagunes."Libi explained as she walked around Haru,having her hands behind his back. "You're an extremely lucky child,Haru. You were about to be eaten by a ghoul,and out of luck and pity,you have been spared and blessed with transplanted organs from three different ghouls,including the one that was originally going to eat you buy decided you were too skinny for her taste."Libi chuckled as she looked around. "Do you have parents,Haru? A mother,father,or maybe a sibling that you will miss you or wonder where you are? Cause otherwise the process will be rather hard for you if you have to hide it from them."Libi smiled gently.
