The day was hot and murky in the town. That seemed indifferent to Haru, as he was deep in his studies, flipping through the book for his English class at the school library. He sighed, and looked out the window. "That feeling won't leave..." He looked left and right, but still felt something was a bit... Off... Maybe he should go to the Cafe.... He heard coffee calms nerves

 

Watari worked the cafe as he owned it, with pride and care. He prepared some coffee from future recipients, human or non. Like all ghouls, he could smell ghoul from human, and knew how to act accordingly for both. He went upstairs to check on his employees/room owners, beckoning Lyle, a ghoul immigrant from America, to take over.

 

The owner of the gourmet hall looked out the window, and waited in anticipation to hear about a new delicacy.... He could feel that something... New... Would come soon....

Haru woke up, in a haze. He had no idea what had transpired that night.... Just that her was with a girl, an-

 

He stopped. Something... Didn't feel right... First of. He was hungry. He walked over to the fridge, and looked inside. Deciding on choosing a cake, he pondered on how he wound up here. He went with the belief that it was that girls room. Good. Now he wouldn't feel too wired. He took a forkful, and ate it. Pangs of distaste ripped through his intestines. He knew it was his fault for eating cake he didn't know expired. He smelled his clothes and realized he was...clean...? He rushed out the back door of the cafe, thinking it was the exit. Looking back, he decided to go home...what a weird day...

Lucifer stood on top of a short building, watching Haru run. No sleep for demons. Or murderers? Something like that. He'd been waiting for Haru all night, to see his reaction. With a quick hop, he landed behind him, discreetly.

 

"Hello, moshi moshi~! Fancy running into you here! You must definitely be hungry, right?" Lucifer noticed the glare in Haru's eyes. "Fast, young one. With the fate of a mustard seed, you'll last 40 days without it too~"

 

Rolling his eyes, Lucifer laid back his arms behind his head, cooly. "I missed breakfast, can I eat with you too? Forgot my wallet at home."

"What the hell are you talking about, man?"he looked at him, and decided to walk to his home. "How about...." He says, preparing the pots and pans. "Eggs and bacon with toast... Classic!"

Lucifer smirked. This would be a classic. "My pleasure. I get weird when I'm hungry. Gamsahamnida, Sorry!" "

"Hey! Wha-how do you get in here!" His house was a bit cluttered, so he was bound to have tripped over something... But no...he cooked the eggs, and finished the bacon. "Here." He tossed a pice of bacon to him to get rid of him. He decided to skip the toast. Taking his first bite, and stopped. He felt....he felt.... He dashed over to the bathroom, and pucked Into the toilet. "Ah...what the..." His head hurt, and his stomach hurt.

The fallen angel walked toward Haru. Forgive me, he thought to himself.

 

With a snap of his fingers, Lucifer's kagune was revealed, his eyes becoming red.

 

"I'm hungry. Now You are mine!" HE yelled, while tossing a kick to Haru's stomach. That should prevent the food he ate from digesting.

He threw up again. "What the hell!" He said to him, he noticed something sprouting out of his ba-no....must be hunger pangs or food poisoning. "I-I must not have cooked it right...." He said to assure himself. "Call a doctor just in case..." He said. His hunger got stronger...and he started smelling.... Scents....

Ren was already in the café this morning with a new black jacket, new blue-jean shorts, and new shoes. She looked completely new. Ren was already gulping down an extra large coffee. She sat at the same table Haru sat in yesterday.

Damn, he thought to himself. The hungers getting stronger.

 

"Haru, I am a ghoul. I am going to eat you now." Lucifer half-heartedly threathened. With a quick grasp, the kid was kicked repeatedly, before being tossed into a table. This was all just an experiment to see how strong Haru had become, however.

 

Pulling out his cellphone, he dialed the café.

 

"Hello, moshi moshi, is Ren-chan there? I need her to come over at this address."

Libi had managed to help clean the bloody van and clean the blood off her right before starting her shift that morning. She didn't need sleep,so she took all precautions to make sure not a spec of blood was on her before going to work. The moment she stepped into her uniform it was the usual Libi that loved to work in the cafe and make friends. Libi couldn't help but to smile as she saw Ren sitting in the same table from yesterday,drinking her coffee. "Maybe this time she'll lure one she can eat."Libi whispered to herself before chuckling. The phone rang. She quickly picked it up. "Morning this is-Eh? Lucifer?...Ren? Yeah,she's drinking her coffee...Alright I'll tell her. If she goes there or not is not my responsibility however~"Libi sung as she waved her finger before hanging up. Writing down the address on a napkin she walked over to Ren. "Morning Ren. May you catch a good meal today. Also,"Libi said as she handed Ren the napkin with the directions to where Lucifer was at. "Lucifer called. He wishes for you to go see him or something. If it's a date tell me the details later."Libi said as she playfully smiled.

 

~Meanwhile in Hiro's conscious~

 

"You won't be able to digest any human food anymore,Haru." Libi spoke as she stood in front of the consciousness version of himself. She was the same Libi,but her eyes were dark and red,as when she used her kagune. "We saved you after trying to eat you. But as we did we have transformed you into one of us,willingly or not."Libi said as she looked up. "I' m guessing you've puked everything you've eaten,and you're starting to feel your senses sharpen. That's only natural. Us ghouls cannot ingest human food. But you know what we can ingest?"Libi asked as she knelt down to him,and spoke while staring at him straight in the eyes. "Humans."

"If it is a date I will make sure Lucifer is dead." Ren snapped, standing up and throwing her coffee away.

"Also thanks for the luck." She said with a smile, starting to walk towards the addresses using a map on her phone.

Ren arrived shortly, looking at where Lucifer had lead her too.

Why did he want her?

"What the hell...." He said looking at the girl...Libi. Wait. How did he know that? His head hurt more. "Humans!? No! You're lying!" He yelled at her. "I'm sick, and this is all an hallucination!" He grunted. "Probably cause of that damn girl!!"

Haru's head was tucked firmly between the angel's shoes as he launched another punch. Only slight bruises were shown, however, as the triple-half ghoul proved to be durable. "Aisshi, you really are a total Job. " Lucifer sighed. "I'm going to eat you. Really." The clock ticked, minutes going by. It would only be a matter of time before the tables would turn, and Ren would be needed as backup. Another kick was launched. "Do you have any family? Any friends? I'll be sure to spead my judgement toward them, too."

 

(Haru's mind)

 

Oy. Oy. The teen lay next to Haru, a perfect clone. Or replica. Hologram, maybe? No, there were two Lucifers in the room now. This second one was more sultry. More fragile.

 

"How long will you take it? Fight....." The second image stroked Haru's head softly. "Baaaaaaaaack!" It yelled deviously. "Feaaaast, on his flesh!"

~Meanwhile in Hiro's conscious~

 

Libi crossed her arms. "As if one wasn't enough."Libi said with a slight laugh. "You are correct,Haru. You are sick. But not with a human sickness. You've contracted something much worse and have become part ghoul. Beings that eat human flesh. Remember that girl that attacked you? She was hungry,and you were about to be her lunch if it weren't for you being so far one of the luckiest humans I've ever met."Libi said as he glanced around. "We saved your life but now you're going to have to survive by changing your life around."Libi said as she sighed. "Ghouls can only digest humans,and other ghouls. Trust me,due to you living as a human for a long time it will be difficult,but once you taste the flesh...you'll realize that it'll taste better than human food tastes to you right now."Libi thought for a moment. "Lucifer is going to end up killing you soon if you don't fight back. Now maybe you should be able to also activate another gift that we have given you."Libi said as she showed off her Kagune. "The Kagune. It's your hunting weapon. It's your fighting weapon. It's part of your body and you control it and use it as you see fit. But you must have the will for it. Otherwise you'll just be lunch again."

He felt that something was going wrong in his body. He groaned and yelled, and shook vigorously, as his kagune emerged. He seemed to not be in his right now... One side was a wing, the other, three tentacles. "AAAAAAHHH!!"

Lucifer smiled a devilish smile as he hopped onto a table.

 

"Beautiful, really. Now lets see if you can dance."

 

Shards were thrown at Haru, having virtually no effect. A quick punch by Lucifer made himself backlash.

 

"Ouch."

He set a tentacle to slice his chest, and would follow up with a devastating punch to the guy.

Ren literally basically broke down the door to Haru's house.

"Stop beating eachother up." She snapped, walking over to Haru and lifting his chin up.

"You're such a pretty boy now~" she said with a smile.

"Anyways, just wanted to see my cute little ghoul~" Ren said with a smile:

Her eyes shift and looked at Haru.

"You aren't afraid to hit a girl, are you?" She asked, swinging a kick at Haru's groin.

He growled, as one of the tentacles to grab her arm, and tossed her around the room, causing a ruckus.

"Ouch." Ren bluntly said, rubbing the back of her head.

"You're pretty good my little boy~" she said with a smirk.

"SHUT UP!!!" He said, covering his pained face. "GET AWAY FROM ME!!!" He yelled in paranoia.

Ren looked at Haru a bit sadly, her eyes shifting to normal again and a pitying look on her face.

"I bet you would have wished I would have ate you. You hate this body now and it is my fault you got it." She muttered, walking towards Haru.

"Do we get no thanks for saving you?!" Ren suddently yelled in his face, her eyes shifting and her Kagune immidently stabbing Ren in the arm.

"You're a fool, Haru." She snapped.

He screamed in pain from the stab because of his newfound malnutrition. "Stop...." He moaned. "I'm human..."

"Not entirely, Haru." Ren said with a smile, then looking to Lucifer.

"What should we do?" She asked.

Lucifer sighed. "Make him an apostle, sent not from men nor by a man, but by us, who raised him from the dead~"

 

 

He rolled his eyes. "Give him some slack. And food. Force-feed him."
