The day was hot and murky in the town. That seemed indifferent to Haru, as he was deep in his studies, flipping through the book for his English class at the school library. He sighed, and looked out the window. "That feeling won't leave..." He looked left and right, but still felt something was a bit... Off... Maybe he should go to the Cafe.... He heard coffee calms nerves

 

Watari worked the cafe as he owned it, with pride and care. He prepared some coffee from future recipients, human or non. Like all ghouls, he could smell ghoul from human, and knew how to act accordingly for both. He went upstairs to check on his employees/room owners, beckoning Lyle, a ghoul immigrant from America, to take over.

 

The owner of the gourmet hall looked out the window, and waited in anticipation to hear about a new delicacy.... He could feel that something... New... Would come soon....

He looked at them. "Force feed....HUMANS!" He stepped back. "N-noo..." He said, he darted into a restroom and closed the door.

 

(Wanna try using his mind? The consciousness, I mean)

Libi suddenly yet casually climbed through one of the windows of the building as she pushed the window open. "I'm on my break and decided to come see how you three guys are hanging along,and I brought snacks!"Libi said as she pulled out a suspicious looking paper bag. She blinked a few times. The place was a mess. There was blood on the floor. The three of them had been fighting,or atleast Lucifer and Ren versus an awakening Haru. She saw Haru run into the bathroom and slam the door behind him. "Oi you guys aren't bullying him are you?"Libi asked as she glanced at the door. Libi searched into the bag and pulled out something suspicious. Should've guessed. It was a bloody piece of human flesh. "I saved up some from last night's kill,so I thought I'd share."Libi muttered as she turned to the door and knocked on it. "Hey Haru,you haven't eaten any humans since becoming one of us! You should be hungry. Here,try this out!"Libi said as she offered Haru the piece of human skin,waving it infront of the door. "Surely you can smell it! Unless you want the heart,I was saving the heart for a special ocassion but you can eat it if you want it."Libi smiled. She didn't seem to worry if Haru would end up hurting her or not. Libi was that easy going. She turned to Ren and Lucifer with puffed up cheeks. "I actually have to agree with Lucifer this time. If he doesn't eat we either let him starve or force feed him."Libi muttered.

 

~Meanwhile you know where~

 

"Beautiful. You have two types of Kagune! You know what this means right? You are much more powerful than most ghouls who have trained their entire lives."Libi said as she looked over at Haru. "She offered you what would be considered food for us...go ahead. Open the door. Take a bite. If you don't like it you can spit it back out."Libi ordered with a serious expression. "EAT IT."

He started to look at it....and salivated unknown to him, attracted to it. "It's..." He said, his voice sounding more sinister as he got closer. "I can just...spit it out...it won't matter...." He got closer and closer.

"If you don't like the way the food is, you change it. You have an obligation to change it. You just do it one step at a time."

 

 

I know you may not believe this, but you're half human. And yet... you want to eat this so bad,you can't help it. But if you do, you won't be human anymore.

 

The most important thing is to just do it.

Just do it. Can't worry about it.
 

"Looks...good..." He said, taking it, drooling over it. He wanted it so bad... The aroma...the texture... "One...bite..." He tried to convince himself. "Only...one..." He opened his mouth, getting closer, his hunger getting stronger.

Libi blinked a few times as she watched Haru hesitating with the meat. Or at least being slow with it. She knew what she had to do. Walking closer to Haru she raised her hand,and suddenly and unexpectedly,pushed the meat right into his mouth,a few fingers going in with it to make sure he wouldn't spit it out. He had to eat it. If he tried to spit it out she'd just shove it down his throat until it reached his stomach so he would at least have a bit of meat in him to survive. "Don't you dare spit it out,Haru. Eat it,or else you're going to force me to shove it down into your stomach and it's not as pleasurable of a meal as it should be that way."Libi threatened,staring at Haru with an unchanging expression.

 

~meanwhile~

 

"Taste its flavor,Haru. Doesn't it taste much better than everything you tried to eat this morning? Taste the flesh of the human,and the flesh of the fingers. Both ghouls and humans are eatable for you now. Though eating another ghoul would be considered cannibalistic,it does strengthen your Kagune. It all depends on your tastes and what you wish to do. Will you be a half-ghoul who eats the species that saved him from death for the sake of the humans? Or will you be a half-ghoul,and with under our training,will learn to hunt for humans,and become one of us fully?"Libi asked as this way she had offered him both options.

Harus eyes enlarged, and he bit down on the flesh, the aroma consuming him. The sweet, succulent flesh.... Just one bite wouldn't hurt, right? He chewed...then chewed again..more..and moreandmoreandmoreandmoreandmoreandmore. This lead to more nasty and voracious. Bites, almost feral, salavating, ripping flesh off of bone.

"He likes it." Ren said rather bluntly.

Ren smiled however, she liked seeing her little Haru indulge in the wonderful flesh. It was truly wondeful.

"It's terrible." Lucifer moaned.

 

He hated ghouls, after all. His existence was merely one for power. However, he couldn't help but be happy. Forever bound together with three other teens, his previous life was a lonely one. Now he could play "nii-san."

 

"You know, I half expected him to kill me. I'd hail Peter before I ever went on a date with Ren." he teased, sticking his tongue out. "So, we should probably get him a mask now. I have a feeling more Doves might arrive soon."

 

Lucifer picked up the remote, turning on the tv.

 

"......Libi.... Ren.... Check this out."

"To hell you will ever go on a date with me." Ren snapped at Lucifer, glaring back at him.

"I don't wear mask. Only sometimes when I know I am in trouble." she said seriously.

Then she heard Lucifer again, Ren wondered over to the T.V to see what Lucifer seemed to be stunned about. It couldn't be that bad. 

Libi watched as Haru ended up liking the taste,eating up her fingers. Libi had her Kagune appear around her other hand as with a quick slash,she slashed off her hand off from the wrist,that way Haru would eat the hand peacefully. Libi picked up a kitchen towel and wrapped it around her severed hand to keep the blood from gushing out uncontrollably while it healed and reformed. "Here,you can have the left overs too. A liver,a few intestines,among other organs."Libi said as she handed Haru the paper bag with the organs inside of it. She couldn't help but smile,watching Haru enjoy the taste of flesh and meat. "There we go. I bet it tastes good. Just don't think much about it and you'll have no problem in eating. I can take you out tonight and teach you to hunt if it makes it easier."Libi smiled as she turned over to Lucifer,reaching into her purse and pulling out a pink themed skull mask with flowers all over it,getting it over her face. "I already have my mask! Isn't it cute?!"Libi asked with a squeal,as the mask was indeed rather pretty,yet fitting Libi's personality. Libi walked over to the TV and Lucifer. "What's up? They didn't cancel Once Upon A Time,did they?!"Libi asked,making a rather wild,but no less,a guess.

There was a black suit man in front of the screen, in front of an audience.

 

" Two dove died yesterday, defending their people. It has been said, 'time heals all wounds.' I do not agree. The wounds remain. In time, the mind, protecting its sanity, covers them with scar tissue and the pain lessens. But it is never gone."

 

He pulled out a quinque.

 

"It's time to improve the CCG. We come to this moment carried by the sacrifices and the courage of our fellows. Those who have fallen. And those still bearing the shields to our right. On this day, our enemy will know the fullness of our determination, the true depth of our anger, and the exalted righteousness of our cause." He smirked at the audience. "Changes will take place a week from now."

"I will protect my little Haru!" Ren declsred, running over to his side and immidently hugging the boy.

"All of these mean doves that try to get you will be ate by you and me my little ghoul~" Ren said playfully.

She obviously liked Haru a bit too much.

"We must keep our guard up!" She declared.

Haru looked at her, and his eyes returned to normal. He fell on his knees, looking at himself from shards of glass on the floor, blood all over his face, and cried.

As soon as Ren saw Haru crying, she knelt down beside him, looking at the glass. She was like this when she was first a ghoul.

"You will get over it Haru, it will be okay. We can go get coffee later." She said with a smile.

"Coffee?" He said. "Can I even drink?" He looked at them.

Libi stared at the tv. "Seems we might've caused quite a scene didn't we. Still I don't think they have any idea that Haru turned into a ghoul,and we should keep it that way."Libi said as she glanced over at Haru. "Strangely enough,we can drink water and coffee and it won't affect us. It just happens to be human food that gives us all bad stomach aches."Libi stated as she frowned a bit and looked down at her mask. "We have to tech Haru how to hunt on his own. We can't always bring him around to look for two meals a night. To make it worse we will have to be much more careful with things changing within a week. So this would mean we have a week to teach Haru how to hunt like a pro before things get worse for us."Libi said as she whined to herself. "If it was harder before to lure my pray into unexpected places it's so going to be harder now! They'll probably going to be having lights in usually dark alleys. I'm gonna have to end up killing them places more secluded like the sewers or in a wooded area."Libi complained,muttering to herself as she could already tell that things weren't going to go as smoothly. "But I'm starting to wonder,what kind of measures could they possibly adjust that would affect the hunt? If they haven't done it before..."Libi muttered.

Lucifer struck a royal pose on the sofa, smirking. "It's about time they stepped up their game. Shame that I'm on our side." He walked over to Haru, placing a hand on his shoulder. "We'll protect you. Mommy, sister, and your guardian angel. No hard feelings for the beatdown, though. Forgive is divine, as they say." Ccg improving their selfs. What could it mean? Robots? Nah. Pulling out his phone, Lucifer dialed the mask shop.

 

"Since It's your first, we'll get you a half mask. Everyone meet me at the store at midnight. Ren, show him the way. You seem to like him. After that, a crash course in hunting. Haru'll be Ghoul of the year when we're done with him."

 

And with a snap, Lucifer's kagune rose, using it to fly out of the building. If Ccg really would become stronger, best enjoy the freedom to fly right now.

Libi watched as Lucifer flew off. "Does he ever consider that someone could see him in the light of day?"Libi muttered as she turned over to Haru,walking over to him. "Lucifer is right regardless. We will get you a mask and teach you to hunt. Hopefully we won't have much trouble tonight even if they attempt to enforce their worst on us. I know! Here,lets exchange cellphone numbers,that way you can text me or call me anytime,if you have any questions or anything."Libi said as she took out her cellphone and wrote her phone down on a napkin and handed it to Haru. "Here we go. You can call me and I'll save your number. Don't worry Haru. We're not all evil. We just happened to be born this way,as ghouls."Libi said as she got her mask in her purse. "So please,don't always consider us the bad guys. We're only trying to survive."Libi said as she smiled and looked over at the clock. "I'm heading back to the cafe. Watari will kill me if I miss my shift by messing around."Libi said as she waved at Ren and Haru. "Watch over him well Ren. We'll see you two tonight alright?"Libi chuckled as she walked over to the same window she came in from and thought for a moment,turning to Haru. "And about what Lucifer said,don't call me mommy...makes me feel old."Libi laughed a bit before jumping out.

 

~Meanwhile~

 

"See? I told you you'd like the taste."Libi said as she sat down on a random chair. "Tonight you'll get your mask to protect your identity while hunting,and you will hunt for your first,full bodied human being,and then you'll know the true meaning of a full course meal. But other than that you can continue your life normally. Going to school and all."Libi said as she waved her hand lightly.

Ren laughed a bit darkly, looking at Haru.

"I have to watch over youuu." She said with a smirk.

"You want some more food? I think I will start eating kids. They are pretty good." Ren said seriosuly.

"N-no!!" He exclaimed. "Don't eat kids!!" He saw in her eyes that she would not understand the logic in that, so he decided to lie. "I'm f-full anyways..."

"Whatever." Ren sighed.

"You have to come with my anyways." She said seriously.

Ren grabbed a small rag from the kitchen, rinsing it off with water and washing off Haru's face.

"It is my job to watch you." She snapped, standing Haru up and grabbing one of Haru's hoodies from his coat rack. She forced it on Haru, pulling the hood over his head.

"Control yourself around me. I dont want you biting my hand off." Ren said seriously, pulling her hood on.

"When it is late enough, we will head out and get us our prey." She said with a smirk.

Haru nodded, and trudged outside, and was overpowered by the sweet aroma of humans.... He almost started to salivate.

Later that evening, Lucifer found himself in the underground sewers, the perfect place for a ghoul hideout. He had school tomorrow, but that wasn't important. Knocking on the hidden vault door, he greeted "Hello, moshi moshi" and waited.

The sun started to set and people were leaving the streets. Ren looking at Haru.

"Remain quiet and you will get your food." She muttered.

Ren started humming a tune as the two continued to walk, making it to the center of town.

"Come little children...I'll take thee away..." Ren started singing silently.

She really needed to get this song out of her head. It was from old Disney movie.
