The day was hot and murky in the town. That seemed indifferent to Haru, as he was deep in his studies, flipping through the book for his English class at the school library. He sighed, and looked out the window. "That feeling won't leave..." He looked left and right, but still felt something was a bit... Off... Maybe he should go to the Cafe.... He heard coffee calms nerves

 

Watari worked the cafe as he owned it, with pride and care. He prepared some coffee from future recipients, human or non. Like all ghouls, he could smell ghoul from human, and knew how to act accordingly for both. He went upstairs to check on his employees/room owners, beckoning Lyle, a ghoul immigrant from America, to take over.

 

The owner of the gourmet hall looked out the window, and waited in anticipation to hear about a new delicacy.... He could feel that something... New... Would come soon....

"Their smiles..." he said. "Their laughter....Their death.... Reaped too early.."

"So you're mad at me too?" Ren asked, sitting Haru down.

"Look, if I like eating children, that is my choice. What are you going to do about it Haru?" She asked the boy.

"Wash..." he repeated. It seemedthat a shower was needed.

The bruise swelled for a good ten seconds before fading away.

 

"You're all tsun and no dere. Shame, you're really cute too." Lucifer muttered. "Kou! I may have shown him my face... but... better to live life with one eye than to enter hell with both, I'd say." He chuckled nervously. Gazing around the room, Lucifer noticed Haru. "Damn, he seems broken. I wasn't like this at first...I know."

 

 

The angel lead the duo to a far room, sticking his tongue out at Libi, and locked the door. Inside, was a large bathtub in the center, an ebony upright piano to the left, mystified by the purple wallpaper. Shampoo and soap lay beside the bath. "Enjoy." he whispered, walking to the piano.

"Why did you lock the door and why is their a piano in here." Ren demanded to know, glaring at Lucifer.

She then immediately turned to Ren, pulling his little bloodstained shirt over his head snd tossing it at the devil, starting up the bath. She took the rest of Haru's clothes off for him and threw him in the tub, making sure not to see anything.

Ren turned away from both the guys and stripped down, quickly getting into the tub and hiding herself within the water.

"You are just a pervert!" Ren yelled, all of their bloody clothes thrown all on Lucifer.

"Go get us new clothes." She snapped, grabbing the soap and beggining to wash Haru's hair for him.

It was such a fine silver color, too bad it was rather stained in blood. She felt bad for the little boy.

A beautiful sound, one never heard before, flooded the room. After a slow pause, a delicately tranquil rhythm lingered like fine wine as a melody was played.

 

Sorrowful... comfort? Light drunkenness?Lucifer smiled as he continued playing for his guests. School was tomorrow, a dove saw his face, and he was still far from his revenge. Yet none of this mattered to him as the sounds resonated through the room. As the music subsided into a slow pause, Lucifer reminiscened his tragedy. Death. Muder. Yet a single thought enlightened him. Friends. With a melancholic grin, he played the chorus line once more. (3:05)

Libi smiled and shook her head lightly. Lucifer was one of a kind,she admitted as such,and Ren was a rather quirky character for her age. "Oh boy,now he has a face to go on,he's not going to sleep for a few days."Kou said as he stared out the window. Libi looked over to Kou. "You seem to know a lot of this dove we just encountered."Libi noted. "Yeah,"Kou frowned. "We're childhood friends. It's kind of my fault that he became a dove actually. It was a stormy night,I was starving,I just thought that if I was quick I would be able to gain my fill and return to being innocent. But one thing led to another,and then he walked in...he's been after my @$$ ever since. His hatred to ghouls sources from me."Kou muttered. "Must be hard,to see your best friend hunt down your own. Have you ever thought of killing him?"Libi asked. Kou shook his head. "I...I already decided I wasn't going to kill him. I'm the one at fault. But I won't kill him. He's my friend and I-...well,anyways,if I encounter him I'll find a way for us to talk. We do have a lot to catch on."Kou said with a yawn. "How complicated."Libi said as she stuck out her tongue. "So you were born a ghoul?"Libi asked. "Yeah. Both parents are ghouls. Have two younger siblings that are also ghouls."Kou said. "You?" "I don't remember."Libi said truthfully. "My farthest memory is me waking up under a tree. I don't know how I got there,or who I was. So I gave myself a name and over time I learned by experiences and meeting other ghouls."Libi said as she bleched at the memory of her first time eating human food. "It would've been nice for someone to warn me about the human food before I took a bite out of it though."Libi said. Kou laughed. "My parents kept human food around the house for the sake of keeping an appearance to our neighbors and friends. I remember getting curious and eating some and it was bad!"Kou said laughing. His life as a ghoul from childhood was...rather normal,at least for him. Kou then stopped laughing,sitting up straight as he heard a piano. Libi looked to where the music was coming from. It wasn't a record,someone was playing...Lucifer. Libi smiled,closing her eyes as she enjoyed the music. It was beautiful. Kou smiled and closed his eyes as well,listening to the song. "(The Devil huh? What if there was a sheep amongst wolves?)"Kou thought.
