would it be possible to have a bump Thread button?

 

because there are some things where i want people to comment on it, and want it on the 1st page. but because of the double posting rule, if i thread goes onto the 2nd page and you were the last one to comment on it it's practically dead :P

 

so a bump thread button would be very useful

 

 

obviously it would be bad if someone spammed it to keep a thread at top, maybe if theres a limit to how many bumps you can do in a day or something

If no one is commenting on a thread, then we'd consider that thread to be unpopular... so, we wouldn't want anyone to bump it. That kinda cheats the system, you know, which pushes popular threads to the top? Instead it just pushes threads to the top whenever the topic creator feels like it.
