Naruto: New Age Gaiden (RP with Firaga Sensei)

Posted

(Okay... So if anyone stalks this thread for whatever reason, this is basically a sidestory/flashback type thing for another RP myself and Firaga are doing. If you want to know the characters, check the main thread)

STORY 01: CHUNIN EXAMS

Somewhere within the Hidden Leaf Village, a massive stadium had been filled with shinobi. Most were chunin or jonin, but a few special genin were there as well. Why? The third part of the Chunin Exams was about to begin.

Koukon gazed around the room, trying to take in the spectacular scene. "Whoa... There are so many people here!" He exclaimed. "And they're all here to see me become a Chunin... I'm so happy to see that I have so many fans!" He exclaimed.

Hikari would normally make a sarcastic response to her friend, but seeing the crowd made her nervous. She knew they'd all be watching her, and if she made one mistake, everyone in the village would know. She hid behind Koukon, hoping that no one would pay attention to her, or even recognize her.

Kiyoshi was equally nervous, but at the same time, somewhat excited. This is it... My chance to prove that I'm a strong ninja. I can't mess it up here after all of my time training. She thought to herself, clenching her fist. Maybe I can prove that I'm as tough as Kiniku, too...!

Juukou and Shiro both calmly stared at their competition. "Looks like we'll be up against a lot of people from our old class, Shiro... As long as we stay calm and think about their weaknesses, we'll be just fine." He smiled, and Shiro barked in response.

Nibai also silently observed the other genin. Hm... It seems like the competition could be tough... Master Fujiri's teachings should help me succeed, though. I'll finally be able to prove that a ninja doesn't need ninjutsu in order to be strong. He thought to himself as he watched everyone.

Akarui seemed uninterested in the competition itself. Instead, she was focused on surviving the match. She had no doubts about her own skill, but she knew nothing about everyone there aside from Ryuichi and Shogo. Even then, she barely knew the two. Teamwork wasn't really her thing. To her, the only point in this competition was getting others to acknowledge her.

"Well... that was a thing," Kiniku commented, a sweat drop rolling down the side of his head. "Then again, what else do you expect from the village prankster?"

Meanwhile, Daiki and Misaki had just finished face-palming in unison, unable to fathom what their teammate had just done.

"Ha ha! Now I got you right where I want you! Shadow Clone Jutsu!!" Shinachiku cried, more clones appearing around him. He then ran forward, punched Hikari in the face, and had his clones attack by kicking her into the air, shouting "SHI! NA! CHIKU!" ; he then jumped off one of the clone's backs and met Hikari in the air.

"Uzumaki Barrage!!" Shinachiku cried, bringing his heel down and striking Hikari in the back of the head as they both fell back down to the ground with Hikari hitting face first.

"Whoa! Didn't expect to see that blast from the past!" Kiniku said.

"Wait, that actually worked?! Uh... well, as stupid as it was, it did blind Hikari and allow him to perform the Barrage. Right Daiki?"

"I... I guess..." Daiki said, then remembering that the Uzumaki Barrage was a move that Naruto stole from his father, which somewhat upset him.

Hikari was injured by her brother's attack, but she still recovered easily. I can see again... Time to finish this. With Shinachiku standing near her, she activated her Byakugan once again. "Heh... You're right where I need you." She smirked. She shot towards him, and began to hammer him with Gentle Fist attacks. "Two palms... Four palms..." She began to count how often she hit him, until she reached the end of the technique: "Eight Trigrams, Sixty Four Palms!" She landed the final blow on her opponent. This should stop the flow of his chakra...

"Whoa!" Koukon leaned over a nearby rail, focused on Hikari's new attack. "Hey, isn't that the one super powerful Hyuga jutsu? I didn't know Hikari knew how to use it!"

Kiniku

"Yeah, me either. Who knew Hyugamaki was capable of pulling something like that off..." Kiniku commented, surprised himself.

Shinachiku

Aw no! Shinachiku thought to himself as he was launched back by Hikari's attack. Dang it... she's blocked my points... what do I do now? He thought, as he barely managed to get back on his feet.

"It's over." Hikari said, glaring at her brother. She ran towards him, continuing to pummel him with various hits. She ended with an uppercut to Shinachiku's chin, hoping that she'd managed to take down her younger brother.

Shinachiku

Shinachiku went soaring into the air, then flipping and landing on his stomach with a loud thud, making Misaki worry and Daiki to be somewhat shocked.

He struggled to get back up on his feet, the strain on his body he was feeling and trying so hard to overcome holding him back significantly. Eventually, he made his way up again, filling Daiki and Misaki with resolve.

Shinachiku said, panting, "I... I absolutely... am not... going to lose! Got that?!"

  • Author

"You've already lost, idiot." Hikari taunted her brother, following up with a punch to his stomach. "Just give up already." She was acting tough, but at the same time, she was beginning to feel bad. She might have considered Shinachiku annoying, but he was still her brother. Beating him like this wasn't right. She began to slightly tremble. I-I don't think I can keep doing this to him...

Shinachiku

He staggered back from Hikari's blow and even coughed up a little blood.

"It's not over... 'til I say its over!" He spat back.

  • Author

"I told you to give up the fight already, you idiot!" Hikari shouted from afar, not advancing any further. "Do you... Really want me to make you lose pathetically like this?" She asked, her tough act beginning to waver as she hesitated while speaking. "Unless you want to keep getting hurt, you're best off quitting."

Shinachiku

"Quitting is the last thing I'll ever do! If you want me to quit, then you're gonna have to kill me!!" Shinachiku boasted aloud.

Hikari sighed. "You're going to regret saying that..." She glared at him. I... Don't want to do this, but... She ran towards her brother again, continuing her barrage of Gentle Fist attacks. "Just give up already!" She shouted one last warning.

  • 1 month later...

Shinachiku

"Agh!" Shinachiku's body flew back once more, his chakra points all done in. But even so, he stood up, barely, and faced his sister.

Hikari was at her limit at this point. She glared at her brother. "What the heck is wrong with you?! Are you trying to get yourself killed?" She shouted at him, becoming angered by his persistence. She didn't want to kill him. He wouldn't quit, though.

Shinachiku

"Heh... what did I say earlier? Killing me is the only way you're gonna get me to lose this match!" Shinachiku said through bated breath.

"Shadow Clone Jutsu!" Shinachiku gathered the last of his chakra to summon six clones who surrounded Hikari.

Hikari sighed. I'll just knock him out... It shouldn't be too tough. She looked at the clones surrounding her. For now, I need to focus on these. She quickly turned and kicked a clone directly behind her, making it disappear into a puff of smoke. "It's going to take a lot more than some dumb clones to stop me, Shinachiku!"

Shinachiku / Daiki / Misaki

"That's fine. I only need five clones for this attack anyway!!" He cried, suddenly having all the clones bolt forward head on towards Hikari.

One clone punched her directly in the face, while the other clones kicked her up in the air, shouting "SHI! NA! CHIKU!!"

Shinachiku, the real one, jumped off the first clones back, spinning in the air, and let himself drop down towards the rising Hikari, about to finish the technique with an heel kick.

"Hey... isn't that..." Misaki questioned aloud from the sidelines.

"Yes. It's the technique that Lord Hokage developed during his go at the Chunin Exams... which he also copied off from Father's Lion's Barrage..." Daiki confirmed, the last part only audible to himself.

"Uzumaki Barrage!!" Shinachiku said, about to hit Hikari.

Heh... You're already slowed down from the fight, Shinachiku. Hikari managed to recover from Shinachiku's attack, and dodged his kick. She then activated her Byakugan. I'll cut off his chakra network while he can't move! She hit him with her palm, sealing off his chakra network.

Shinachiku / Daiki / Misaki

Shinachiku felt himself faze out of reality for a moment as his sister's palm shut him down in not only his chakra but also his movement. After that moment passed, the strike sent him back again, tumbling onto the ground. Unlike before, he would not stand up again.

"Oh no! On your feet, Shinachiku! Come on, get up!" Misaki cried in desperation from the stands.

"Don't bother. He's done in," Daiki said stoically.

"How can you say that?! He's come too far to give up now!" Misaki cried at her brother.

"It's over," Daiki said with a little more fierceness in his voice, quieting Misaki. "... he's taken too much damage. Not even somebody like him can withstand anything more." Daiki softened up a bit, noticing Misaki's saddened expression. "I'm sorry..."

Hikari walked over to her brother, and looked down at him while feeling somewhat guilty. I wouldn't have gone this far if you hadn't given up while I was ahead, idiot... "Are... You okay?" She asked him, wondering if he was even conscious.

Shinachiku

"Ugh... y-yeah..." Shinachiku said, pulling himself up and sitting on his behind, rubbing the spot where Hikari's shot landed. "I thought I could hold out, but I guess not. Maybe I ain't as tough as I thought I was..." Shinachiku admitted, disappointed in himself.

  • Author

Hikari glared at her brother. "Shut up, already." She said, with an angry tone. "What happened to all of your talk about becoming the Hokage?" She asked him. "You're going to give that up after losing one fight? You're not going to win every fight as a genin." She explained to him. "This just means you have to train harder." She held out her hand to help Shinachiku up. "Now, come on, we have to get back up with the others. You don't want to let Misaki stare at you knocked over on your butt for too long, do you?"

Shinachiku

Shinachiku's face went red at the mention of Misaki. "Ah, fine," Shinachiku said, grabbing his sister's hand. "Well... thanks..." Shinachiku said, face still red considering he was being nice to his sister.

After a moment, he smacked his cheeks and reset his composure. "But just you wait: next time we fight, I'll be a hundred times stronger!" Shinachiku cried, back to his usual self.

Hikari avoiding looking at her brother as she helped him up, also a bit embarrassed that she was being nice to him for once. Thankfully, he quickly switched back to his normal act. "It still won't be enough to win against me." She teased him, sounding slightly playful. When she realized what she was doing, she quickly switched back to her more serious attitude. "You'll probably spend more time eating ramen than training, anyway."

Shinachiku

"Nah. That's you! You practically live at Icharaku's after all!" Shinachiku teased, his love for ramen outshined immensly by Hikari's obsession.

Shinachiku

"Nah. That's you! You practically live at Icharaku's after all!" Shinachiku teased, his love for ramen outshined immensly by Hikari's obsession.

(Fixed that for you)

"Wh-what?!" Hikari glared at her brother. "You're the one who's addicted to ramen, not me!" Hikari lied, turning away from her brother.

Shinachiku / Daiki / Misaki

"As if! Hahaha!" Shinachiku snorted. "Well, smell ya later!" Shinachiku said, running back up to the stands and back to his team.

"Hey guys!" Shinachiku said as he approached the Uchiha-Haruno siblings.

"Huh? Why are you so happy? You just lost your match," Misaki asked.

"I know, but hey, failure breeds success and all that junk. My sister's pretty tough anyway," Shinachiku said, putting his hands behind his head. "Besides, I'm not gonna mope about it. I just gotta work harder is all."

"Oh. Heh, well I guess you're right," Misaki agreed, smiling.

"Hmph. You really are a loser if you're taking your loss that easily," Daiki snarked, changing Shinachiku's mood automatically.

"Hey, I said I'd work harder, what do you want from me?!" Shinachiku fired.

"All I want is for you to be stop being a loser. Not that it'll ever happen," Daiki countered, shooting Shinachiku a cold stare.

"Oh bite me! Let's just see how tough you are when your match comes up!" Shinachiku said.

"No problem. I"ll decimate whoever gets in my way," Daiki said, sort of unnerving Shinachiku and even Misaki.

Decimate? Oh man. He's starting to act all moody like Dad. That's not good, Misaki thought.
