Naruto: New Age Gaiden (RP with Firaga Sensei)

Posted

(Okay... So if anyone stalks this thread for whatever reason, this is basically a sidestory/flashback type thing for another RP myself and Firaga are doing. If you want to know the characters, check the main thread)

STORY 01: CHUNIN EXAMS

Somewhere within the Hidden Leaf Village, a massive stadium had been filled with shinobi. Most were chunin or jonin, but a few special genin were there as well. Why? The third part of the Chunin Exams was about to begin.

Koukon gazed around the room, trying to take in the spectacular scene. "Whoa... There are so many people here!" He exclaimed. "And they're all here to see me become a Chunin... I'm so happy to see that I have so many fans!" He exclaimed.

Hikari would normally make a sarcastic response to her friend, but seeing the crowd made her nervous. She knew they'd all be watching her, and if she made one mistake, everyone in the village would know. She hid behind Koukon, hoping that no one would pay attention to her, or even recognize her.

Kiyoshi was equally nervous, but at the same time, somewhat excited. This is it... My chance to prove that I'm a strong ninja. I can't mess it up here after all of my time training. She thought to herself, clenching her fist. Maybe I can prove that I'm as tough as Kiniku, too...!

Juukou and Shiro both calmly stared at their competition. "Looks like we'll be up against a lot of people from our old class, Shiro... As long as we stay calm and think about their weaknesses, we'll be just fine." He smiled, and Shiro barked in response.

Nibai also silently observed the other genin. Hm... It seems like the competition could be tough... Master Fujiri's teachings should help me succeed, though. I'll finally be able to prove that a ninja doesn't need ninjutsu in order to be strong. He thought to himself as he watched everyone.

Akarui seemed uninterested in the competition itself. Instead, she was focused on surviving the match. She had no doubts about her own skill, but she knew nothing about everyone there aside from Ryuichi and Shogo. Even then, she barely knew the two. Teamwork wasn't really her thing. To her, the only point in this competition was getting others to acknowledge her.

Heh, now's my chance! Kiyoshi jumped towards Misaki, and punched her in the stomach. She followed up by trying to kick her to the ground, planning to hit her hard while she was blinded.

Misaki

Through her blinded sight, Misaki could still feel the pain of getting hit the stomach, and she could also tell another strike would follow up from it. One of her eyes, though foggy, saw that Kiyoshi was going to kick her next. Misaki stretched out her arms and caught Kiyoshi's leg, turning her around and slamming her body to the nearby ground, half of how she planned her last attack to go.

She regrouped afterwards, getting a fair distance away from Kiyoshi. She was still reeling from the water blast and she could feel herself getting fatigued. I won't be getting anywhere if she's allowed to keep moving. I have to keep her down and then beat her down. Misaki thought, trying to think of something that would do just that.

Kiyoshi pulled herself back up. Ugh... I'm starting to reach my limit... I need to finish this quick. She ran towards Misaki. "Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu!" She shot another fireball at her opponent.

Misaki

Grr, what's with all the fireballs?! Misaki griped in her head. To counter, she mustered enough strength to pull off another Cherry Blossom Clash, the earth slowing down the speed of the fire ball enough for Misaki to dodge roll out of the way in time.

Once Kiyoshi got closer to Misaki, she attempted to kick her again, hoping that she'd still be recovering from dodging the fireball and using so much strength to use a Cherry Blossom Clash.

Misaki

Misaki raised up her arms to block; the force of Kiyoshi's kick still sent her back quite a bit as she now struggled to her feet.

At least now... she's starting to attack closer... she thought, regaining her breath and her stance.

Kiyoshi landed after her attack, but her knees were beginning to shake. I'll have to end this soon... She thought, beginning to get slightly nervous. She threw shuriken at Misaki, hoping to wear her out a bit more

Misaki

The pink haired kunoichi pulled out a kunai and deflected her opponent's shuriken, sans a few that managed to knick her on the arms and legs, causing hard pain in her already beaten up state.

  • Author

Heh... Now I just need to finish her off. Kiyoshi ran towards Misaki, but began to stumble. Not... Now... She pulled herself back up, and tried to punch her opponent again.

Misaki

Putting the kunai away, Misaki caught Kiyoshi's punch with one of her hands, easily overpowering her in terms of strength and holding her in place. If I want to finish this, then I'll has to be right now! She thought.

She then gathered chakra into her other hand and punched Kiyoshi in the stomach, holding her fist for a moment before letting go of her hand, and started furiously delivering more blows to her stomach, face, and body.

Kiyoshi could barely breathe after being punched in the stomach. She didn't see any way to escape from Misaki's grasp. I... Can't lose like this... She quickly punched Misaki's face while her guard was down, hoping to knock her off, despite knowing that probably wouldn't happen.

Misaki

Misaki took the full front of Kiyoshi's attack, but the adrenaline she was riding kept her from backing down. She simply restarted her chain of attack.

I... Can't... Lose... Kiyoshi thought, too injured to be able to block or counter Misaki's attacks.

"Stop!" The announcer shouted. "The winner of this match is... Misaki Uchiha!" The crowd began to cheer.

"Kiyoshi... Lost?" Koukon asked. She's not going to take this well at all... He sighed, upset that his sister didn't get to move ahead in the tournament.

"I thought Kiyoshi had that fight..." Juukou frowned. "I hope she's going to be okay... It looked like those attacks hurt."

"It probably affected her pride more than anything." Nibai pointed out to his teammate, who nodded in response.

No... It can't end this way... Kiyoshi fought an urge to scream. I had to make it ahead with Koukon and Kiniku...

Misaki

Misaki stopped herself when the announcer called for the match to end. She didn't even realize how hard she was hitting Kiyoshi, nor how many shots she landed within the time frame of the last time the two clashed. It was almost liked she blacked out during that instance. Misaki immediately drew back, powering down as she stood as the winner. Though she was glad she won, she felt upset at her actions.

I... I can't believe it. I took it too far... She thought, looking at her own hands in disappointment. She then immediately extended one those hands to Kiyoshi.

"Hey... you need a hand?" She asked. "I'm sorry for... well, you know... I hope you don't feel too bad for losing. After all, you still gave me a nice challenge, and I hope that we both can get stronger from this," Misaki said with a smile.

Kiyoshi was surprised by Misaki's sudden change. However, she was glad that she was being so kind after that battle. "Yeah. That was a good battle." She smiled back, then took Misaki's hand to help herself back up. "Congratulations on winning." She added.

Misaki

"Thanks, Kiyoshi!" Misaki thanked warmly.

Shinachiku / Daiki

"Whoa! Did you see Misaki just wail on Kiyoshi! And I thought she was scary before!" Shinachiku said, thankfully not in earshot of Misaki

She's definitely getting better with the power that Mother and Lady Tsunade taught her, Daiki thought to himself.

Once the two had made their way out of the arena, the screen began to flash through pictures of genin once again. The screen stopped showing two names: Hikari Uzumaki and Shinachiku Uzumaki.

"I-it's me..." Hikari began to shake, then noticed who her opponent was. "... Shinachiku?" She straightened up. I really got lucky... I know for sure I can take him down. She looked over to her brother, who had been shouting after Misaki's performance.

"Good luck, Hikari!" Koukon patted his friend on the back.

"Th-thanks, Koukon..." Hikari nodded, and made her way down to the arena.

She's going to be fighting her brother... I wonder how this will go? Koukon thought as his friend arrived at the center of the battlefield.

Kiniku

"Give 'em hell, Hyugamaki," Kiniku simply said to his teammate as she walked towards her battle.

Shinachiku / Daiki / Misaki

"Misaki, you were great!" Shinachiku said as Misaki regrouped with them. "You really kicked butt out there!" He added, Daiki merely giving her a nod.

"Oh," Misaki said, surprised by her teammate and brother's praise as she was thinking to herself about her battle while joining them again, thoughts about her losing control. "Uh, t-thanks you two," she said.

"What's wrong, Misaki?" Shinachiku said, the simplistic Uzumaki not getting how Misaki was feeling at the moment.

"It's nothing. Don't worry," Misaki said, not ready to spill the beans to anyone, especially not Shinachiku. Shinachiku brushed it off when he saw that he was next to fight.

"I'm fighting my sister, eh? This'll be a snap!" Shinachiku boasted. "Wish me luck, guys. Not that I'll need it, Hahaha!" Shinachiku said, quickly waving to this team and running out to the battlefield.

"Shinachiku and Hikari are fighting. I'd say this is pretty much a family feud knowing those two," Misaki joked, referencing Shinachiku's and Hikari's relationship.

"Hikari is much more skilled than Shinachiku. I doubt he'll be able to last too long," Daiki said openly but also mostly to himself.

"Yeah... you're probably right..." Misaki said, agreeing with Daiki but at the same time feeling bad that Shinachiku had to go up against such a hard opponent.

Hikari fought an urge to snap back at Kiniku for his stupid nickname. Once her brother had also arrived in the center with her, the announcer called for the battle to begin.

"You don't stand a chance against me, idiot." Hikari taunted her brother, and activated her Byakugan. My Gentle Fist techniques should make this fight simple. She ran towards him, and began to strike some of his chakra points.

(Oh sure, don't wait for him to taunt back)

Shinachiku

"Don't underestimate me!" Shinachiku quickly spat, readying himself for his sister's attack. Using his speed, he managed to block and doge some of Hikari's attacks. Thankfully, she was not able to hit any vital points. Surviving the exchange, Shinachiku backed away from his sister and regrouped himself.

Okay, so how do I go about this... ooh, I know! He thought.

"Shadow Clone Jutsu!" Shinachiku said, producing a multitude of clones around him. He instructed them to scatter around, surrounding Hikari from every angle.

  • Author

Hikari sighed. As long as I target the real Shinachiku, these clones shouldn't matter at all. She thought, and summoned her own Shadow Clones to battle Shinachiku's. She then jumped over the nearest clone and dove towards Shinachiku, hitting his face with her palm before she landed. Once she recovered, she went back to targeting her brother's chakra points, trying to prevent him from using any ninjutsu. "You don't stand a chance against me, idiot. I can do almost every technique you've learned, and have the Byakugan as well." She taunted again.

Shinachiku

"Yeah yeah, whatever! I still got the one thing you don't have, and that's guts!" Shinachiku fired back, avoiding Hikari's blows. He then used his own agility to jump over Hikari and readied himself for a jutsu. "Now for my new, super special jutsu!!" He called out.

"'Super special jutsu,' you say?" Hikari asked. "Probably nothing too special." She had two of her clones both run towards Shinachiku, attempting to stop this new jutsu from being performed at all.

Shinachiku

Shinachiku had a pair of his own clones fend off Hikari's clones, giving him the perfect opportunity to unleash his new move.

"Here we go! Haaaaa!" Shinachiku said, getting closer to Hikari. "Ninja Art: Blind Eye Jutsu!" He shouted, pulling out a bottle of shampoo and quickly opening it and throwing the contents into Hikari's eyes, preventing her from being able to use her Byakugan.

"Aah!" Hikari shouted, and brought her hands to her eyes. I-I can't see anything... Am I blind? It can't end like this, there are still so many things I wanted to see! She thought to herself, then realized what had just happened. Wait... That wasn't a jutsu. She sighed. "That won't be enough to- oww- defeat me, Shinachiku." She bluffed, trying to act like she could still see. "My Byakugan still works, even when- ow!" She shrieked before continuing, "E-even when you do that to me!"

"That's got to be cheating." Koukon said.
