The Adventures of Morgan and Morgan (RP with Riki)

Posted

(I don't even know if this RP will be serious or not but oh well)

Morgan woke up in a strange forest, her head pounding. She slowly got up so that she was sitting, and held her head. "What happened...?" She asked, studying her surroundings. "I was at the Outrealm Gate, and now... I'm here?" She stood, and tried to get a closer look at her surroundings. Her Pegasus was close to her, and it seemed to be fine. That was good. Now she just needed to figure out where the heck she was, and hope that she wouldn't run into any enemy forces. She walked over to her pegasus, which stood happily at the sight of it's master. "You don't happen to know where we are... Do you?" She asked, and the pegasus seemed to shake it's head in response. Morgan sighed. "I guess we'll have to scout around, then... Let's walk, I don't want to make you fly around when you're already worn out." She smiled at the winged horse, then the two set off to find any sign of where they'd ended up.

Morgan was shocked by Cynthia's story. She fought hard to keep herself composed. She looked around the room, seeing the weapons. Suddenly, she didn't feel so good about finding a massive room filled with supplies. "Why is she doing this...? Why is she killing people, from your world and from these other timelines...?" Morgan asked weakly, tears now beginning to well up in her eyes.

"...Look.. We talk in the morning about it, for now I need some rest..." Cynthia said, standing up, trying to dry her eyes, she walked over to a small pile of hay. "There are a few others. I know they're not glamorous, but they are something at least." She explained, plopping herself down, Morgan couldn't move, the gravity of it hit her harshly, freezing her.

Morgan was about as shocked as the other Morgan, but managed to move over to another pile of hay. She decided she needed to rest. After what she'd gone through that day, it wouldn't be good for her to stay away. She curled up on the hay, and after struggling to calm down for a while, eventually managed to fall asleep... Of course, she had horrible nightmares about the story that Cynthia had told her. She had nightmares about her own friends and family facing horrible fates. She didn't sleep well at all that night.

Though the night, Morgan struggled to sleep, her fear driving her to stay awake. "What changed... what made this world so sad...?" She thought. Her father had always been a bit distant, but that wasn't a problem. He loved everyone, worked hard to protect them. What changed? What changed their world so much...The night passed, day cracked through the corner of the cave, and Cynthia awoke, moving around to tidy up a bit and get clean water To drink.

Morgan eventually woke up as the cave became slightly illuminated. She stood, hoping that she'd be in the camp, with her sister cheerily greeting her. When she realized that what had happened the day before wasn't a dream, she sighed. This is all really happening, then... And what I learned yesterday was all true... She decided to take a look around the cave, and noticed the purple haired Cynthia walking around their base. Morgan decided to go try to talk to her. This might not have been her sister, but she still felt a need to help cheer her up. "Hey..." She spoke after approaching Cynthia.

"Hello." Cynthia responded, absentmindedly, moving the bowls of fresh water over to their small camp. "After the other Morgan wakes up, I'll contenue the story. After that, I don't know what. Even though you all look the same, you have very diffrent actions."

"A lot of you do. I've never seen a Morgan with myself as her sister before, it's quite strange."Cynthia had finished doing her "cleaning" or what the was of it, and looked her straight in the eyes and laughed. "There have been so many diffrent kinds, even one who is a tad creepy... her mother was Lucinia, I wonder what her father was like! I'll be honest, she is one of the strongest yet, but she was also way too careless, she thought her mother could be the only one thst had to be serious, and she went down too. It's because of that I have this scar here..." She showed a cut on her side that had scared, but it looked like it was still recent.

Despite Cynthia's laughter, Morgan still looked a bit upset by what was going on. However, she tried to at least pretend to be a little calmer than she really was. "Her father must have been a little odd if he married Lucina... Well, assuming that her father was similar to both mine and the other Morgan's." She commented. "So... you've met a lot of Morgans, right? Are there any others who are here that we don't know of?"

"I doubt it, your breed has about a bug's chance in a birds nest to survive here. The other Morgan- the third one to you two, she knows these forests like the back of her hand and the inside of her eyelids. But there may be another that gets trapped along side you today. They've been getting far more bold about taking over other worlds, I have no idea why..."She coughed, the other Morgan woke. "Alright, do you want to continue the story now?"

Morgan still didn't understand what was going on. Why did the other Morgans want to injure those from other worlds? Why did it have to be her stuck in this mess, anyway? She decided to continue listening to Cynthia's story, hoping that would help her piece the situation together. "Yes, I would like to hear more, please."

She decided to continue listening to Cynthia's story, hoping that would help her piece the situation together. "Yes, I would like to hear more, please."

Morgan sat up. "Yeah..." She looked away. With a sigh, Cynthia moved back over to where she was the night before."It was simple what happened next. Unlike in your worlds, our team never slayed the Fell Dragon, you can assume the rest from there on that situation..." She stopped, looking around."That Morgan had thought she had taken all of the Falcion's, but one still existed. Thst is another diffrence in our world: there were two Prince Marth's, or well, a Prince and Princess. Unlike in most worlds, the Falcion only had one of its breed and another from the future. However, two existed, one belonged to the prince, the other the princess." She looked at her Falcion, sheathed to her side. "The Fell Dragon's conquest of this world is basically complete, but they cannot say it's done until they have my Falcion. Libra's spell protects the area from being damaged, even Grimia cannot attack me in here as its a divine spell empowered by Lady Tiki. That's why they can't get to me, but getting out for supplies is not an easy thing. They send hordes of monsters after me any time I leave."With a deep breath, she decided to go into more detail."Grimia and Morgan and her father are together, they share the same blood, as I learned through a few other Morgan's. This gives Grimia Dominion over them and their choices, I don't believe it's their fault. But the fact is that after they stole the Falcion and the Parallel Falcion, they awakened Grimia, and with it, destroyed most of this world. Kan Flava and Baltisto still live, I believe, but much like I, live in a hovel where the Fell Dragon cannot attack, but I wouldn't hold hope for them. They were hot-blooded, they couldn't sit around for too long before they would have probably rushed into battle...""All I know is that most of us, if not all of us, are either scattered or dead. You won't have many comrades in arms here."She sighed, with the finishing of her story.Morgan struggled to take it all in. "It's a hard story to swallow..." She looked at the walls. "The scales are pretty tipped in Grimia's favor if even powerful versions of us ever existed and died here, that means we stand no chance. We don't have an army, and we would be fighting the forces of the Gods themselves...."Cynthia looked at the two of them. "You may not be the strongest Morgan's to walk this earth, but you both seem to show traits others don't exactly have either. Any normal Morgan could have healed herself and another with that staff, but it would have either just been enough to give you both a pick-me-up, or the staff would have broken. Even with my full strength and the force of the Falcion being used, I broke your weapon but you were able to maintain your composure enough to only knock me back a little. And the other Morgan seems to see the light in things, and really understands her Pegasus just like my mom did. The others did well, but something held them back. So, I'll help you two.""But... You're in no shape... you haven't slept at all, not in an effective way, for years, your sick, your equipment isn't in a good way either and your undernourished...""I'm also equipped with the only weapon here that can face off against Horse and Dragon riders well and I know more about this area of land than you could right now. Plus I know where your only chance to make it out of here is.""And that would be?""The Outerealm Gate.""How do you know it's our only chance?""Well, it's not controlled by either of the Great Dragons, so you can use it freely without their hinderance, provided you can get there.""And what will keep them from rerouting us back here?""The idea is you will eventually come back here.""What the hell do you mean, Cynthia!" Morgan yelled, throwing her hands down."I mean... if we are going to have any chance of not ever being taken back here and killed will be for us to get to the gate and work as hard as we can to amass an army so strong that we can tip the scales!"Morgan remained silent for only a moment. "How do you expect that we will be able to convince anyone of this! Thousands of us?! You're the only one left alive in a desolate wasteland where Grimia would erase us at any moment and we need you to help us defeat a god?! It's madness!"

"We don't really have much of a choice regarding what to do from here... I'll help." Morgan offered, trying to remain more composed than the other Morgan. "If we don't stop Grima and his army, everyone we know could be killed. I'd much rather fight that fate than die without resisting." She picked up her lance, and stared at her weapon for a moment. "How will we reach the Outerealm gate, though? That third Morgan is probably waiting for us right outside the protective barrier... Can we really stand up to her in a battle?"

"I can hold her back, but I can't beat her in a one on one fight. But that would all we would need. As long as I keep her from hitting you two and you manage to break through her wall of enemies, we can make it through.""...That might not be necessary. Grimia likely thinks that it's won anyeay, so they would put the other Morgan -let's call her Morgana- onto hunt for two injured, weakened little girls in the forest. As long as we go by land or in a dense fog so she couldn't shoot us if we went by air, they would only know Cynthia had left her home, which she does often enough to gather supplies anyway, nothing suspicious. That means that she would be on a wild goose chase while we move towards the gate. Since Grimia likely doesn't care if we escape, since it can at least somewhat manipulate where we get spit out with enough time and knows that we probably won't be able to get home on our first go from this Outerealm Gate so we would have to go through it again to try and get home, thus leading us into an Ambush... And ...Alpha I think was his name... he would be too busy at this moment since he is being controlled by Grimia to make a guess of our plan. Besides... it's far too bold, even if he were to guess the events thus far, he probably doubts that Cynthia would come with us of all the Morgan's, and would doubt we would make a B-Line for a place we basically could be walking into a death trap. With this in mind, we have a strategy...""Your father was a superior tactician to ours... or at least you're a much better one than him..." Cynthia said in passing. "It would have taken Alpha a week to think of all this information in such quick succession and then devise a plan.""My father is the best Tactician in two worlds, then. Now, here is the plan: we will make a move for it, we move when it's best for us. We may wait until there is heavy cloud cover and we fly away on the back of your Pegasus, Morgan, or we can go by land and hope to not be spotted, and dash straight for the Gate. Once there, we kill only what we have to, and if we can get any of us up there to the gate, we can get it to take all of us through. We would want to do this during a bright day, if possible, and use the sun to blind the Risen, they don't do well in bright sunlight as their eyes can't handle it. After that, it's just dashing through the gate, and hoping we find somewhere with people who will believe us..."

Morgan was surprised by how quickly the other Morgan could come up with a plan. Tactician Morgan seemed to be as good of a Tactician as her father was... which made her feel bad for not being nearly as good at forming strategies. After the other Morgan shared the team's plan, Morgan nodded in agreement. "That sounds like it should work. Hopefully we'll have a chance to move soon..." She said, not exactly enjoying her time holed in a cave with dangerous enemies nearby.

"It depends. Do we want to move in the air or by land?" Cynthia asked.

"By air is by far a better choice. Though we'll be wide open, if we have good cloud cover, it would be much better."

"By air it is, then! The skies around here stay constantly dark, as well, which will mask our asent, I hope."

"Then we move now?"

"As my father would say... Shepard's let's go!"

She yelled, grabbing her Falcion, a lance, and an axe out of the pile of equipment. Morgan dumped off her Vunary flask for the rare staff thst she had used last night, and replaced her broken Killing Edge with another tome: Elthunder, she was sure there were better tomes, but she didn't have time to rummage. This was the time to decide equipment.

Morgan glanced around the scattered equipment, trying to find anything she could take that would be of use. She got rid of her old lance to take a Killer Lance, and also took a Concoction, as well as an Elfire tome. After doing so, she walked over to her pegasus, and helped it prepare to get moving. "It might be a bit of a tight fit, but she should be able to carry all three of us. Of course, if anyone else ends up joining us, we wouldn't all be able to ride together."

"Then let's hope it's a Flier then that we make friends with." Morgan stated plainly. After their equipment was readied, the three of them mounted the Pegasus and took off.

"I was right, the other Morgan- Morgana, she seems to not be around, and we're flying too high to be hit by an archer anyway. We must be lucky..." Morgan breathed a sigh of relief.

"We're not lucky yet, once we make it to the gate, then we're lucky."

"...Good point."

The three of them flew and touched down on the ground in front of the fortress that enclosed the Outerrealm Gate.

"Be on guard, there's still bound to be security!" Morgan stated, as Cynthia made a whistling sound. A horse in decent armor galloped to her side and she mounted it, which took Morgan by surprise.

"Ah, yeah, I forgot, I am a mounted soldier, through and through."

"Then I assume you can play the role of Fredrick for us this time around?"

"Most certainly."

Morgan sighed in relief. There didn't seem to be any archers guarding the gate. That made her job much, much easier. She considered going straight ahead to make an easy path to the Outerealm gate, but realized that she could be overwhelmed by the enemy if she tried that. Instead, she went to the small room to her right, hoping to reduce the enemy's numbers ahead of time. There were two axe-wileding Risen inside. She went behind the one on the left, drew her lance, and struck at the beast...

After the two Risen foes moved ahead, Morgan took advantage of their new positions by targeting the one on the right. Her pegasus flew diagonally across from the Risen soldier, and Morgan cast her Elfire tome.
