1. how did robin go from killing chrom (the opening scene of the game) to asleep in a grassy field to be awoken by chrome who all the sudden stopped knowing him? did he time travel? if so, how did he do that?

2. who was robins mother? is it ever revealed?

3. what happened in the ending? its just like he is at the start of the game accept he is missing the mark of grima. and then chrome says "welcome back. its over now" even though in the credits i see that chrom moved on without robin. (lissa did as well and she was also in the cutscene) if the credits are true then he should at lest show some sign of age. before chrome said "welcome back. its over now" i thought that robin just went back in time to a more peaceful past or possibly an alternate universe where they dont know each other but are still gonna be just as good friends. (they never specified where or when he would be reborn if he had strong ties with his friends. so i think it makes sense) but it was proven wrong when chrom talked as if he already knew him. can someone pls explain that final cutscene to me? im a bit confused.

4. what happens if you let lucina die before a part of the story where she is needed? the game says its only game over if robin or chrom die so its possible.

if you could answer any of these questions then id be greatful! :)

1: it's more or less that we go back to the day they met, not nessicary the original moment. But no one knows for sure.2 no, not to my recollection anyway.3 it depends on two things: which person finished off (spoiler) and the relationships that are formed. The ending you describe I the Robin kills (spoiler), resulting in his seeming demise. But as they state "a bond that strong just cannot be broken". So, as they travel around, they quest to find Robin again. In the ending cutscene, they find the newly reborn Robin, after his seeming destruction. As he killed the Fell Dragon, as well as himself, and fate was changed, the mark of the fell dragon and any direct tie to it was more or less erased as result. It seems as though Robin in the future sends an amnesiac version of himself to the past to keep the cycle of (spoiler)'s contenued victory going, however due to the future children interfering, the original fate(where Robin would (spoiler), kill Crom, and become possessed by (spoiler)) is thus made impossible through the new bonds added by the future children and the changes that occur overall, changing their fates overall.4 as with all fire emblem games, if an important character dies but isn't the main protagonist, or one of the tip top main protagonists is killed, they still appear in cutscenes and such, however they are unable to fight. I call this "moved to another platoon".

this whole time travel thing is very confusing. from thinking about what you said, multiple paradoxes would happen. time travel sure is confusing. xD i dont understand fully but i see it wont get anywhere by talking time travel over text. its just more confusing. but your answers were great. thx! :D

I believe the intro was from an alternate timeline, from Lucina's timeline, and Grima possessed Robin's body and followed Lucina after killing Chrom, but since Robin wasn't strong enough to be fully possessed by Grima, Robin lost his/her memories, and that is when he/she is found by Chrom in the field. I think that's how it is. Not 100% sure.

2. who was robins mother? is it ever revealed?

Nope. Just the father.

3. what happened in the ending? its just like he is at the start of the game accept he is missing the mark of grima. and then chrome says "welcome back. its over now" even though in the credits i see that chrom moved on without robin. I believe Robin remembers that they end up killing Chrom from the alternate timeline, and they plan a trap to make Validar think Robin kills Chrom. As for the final cutscene, Naga says that Robin can live if his/her bonds are strong enough with everyone else's, so because of deux ex machina, Robin lives in the end and is again found by Chrom. But again, not 100% sure if this is fully correct.

When women "die" in the game, they simply "retire" and you can't play them for the rest of the game. That way, S-rank marriages still work to unlock children later. Only the guys truly die.

I've answered all of those to the best of my ability, since I really love this game. Hope that helps. ^_^
