Yep, she's most likely going to be Major Motoko Kusanagi if she's going to be taking the lead role. Personally, I hope she does a good job, along side with the director, to make this live-action adaption good! And I know there's going to be people who's going to say "It's going to be another DB Evolution, Last Airbender" and yatta, yatta, yatta. Guys, there's not enough info or news to actually judge it. We don't have any footage, no trailers, no character photos. Nothing. Before we say "It sucks" or "It's going to be out of this world", let's just wait for some more information. All we can do is hope that it'll be good.

not everything has to be 1 for 1 for an adaptation.personally, to me, she fits the role. with her action scenes in Avengers, Iron Man, & Captain America, she fits to me.
