Major vita memory card swap crisis

Posted

ok so the vita has yet to not piss me off. ive had an 8 GB memory card since i got this system. Since then ive had several games downloaded on it at a time but alas ive had to delete several to download more. i finally got fed up with it and went out and bought a 32 GB. I backed up all my data to my ps3 before i switched the cards and then when all that was finished i turned off the vita and switched the cards and turned it back on. i selected restore and all my stuff transfered over successfully. all my games, music, videos. I went to the store and redownloaded all those games i had deleted over time and they all went on there. however, some of my titles had NO saved data to them. Like my Sly 3 game, it asked me to start a new game. And the even worse part is, my SAO Hollow Fragment game, when i tried starting it, was corrupted. it wouldn't start whatsoever. i panicked and web searched how to fix corruption and someone insisted i use the R+Power+Home button to enter the black screen thing and restart my system or rebuild the database. i rebuilt the database and that did nothing but jumble my apps around and delete the wallpapers i had. everytime after that i tried to turn it off but it would automatically come back on. that stopped now but my saved data for some games still arent there. I deleted the SAO game and went to redownload it onto this 32 GB. But a fewminutes into the download a warning message popped up telling me not to remove the memory card forit will cause a corruption. i never once removed the card whenthe system was on. now my vita wontlet me download the game at all cuz it keeps saying that its corrupt. what can i do?!?

As far as I'm concerned it's only the SAO game having the problem so far. Plus I can't delete the "waiting to download" thing in my notifications

that "do not remove memory card" thing isnt saying that you removed it. its just a mandatory warning the vita tells you when you are saving or turning things on or off. furthermore you did this to yourself when you deleted the deleted the SAO game. the any downloaded games keep the save date on file. so when you deleted the SAO game file you deleted the save date. What you should have done was cloud save it with playstation plus. also there is no way to "fix" the corruption of a date file.

Hmm... Honestly, I'd call Playstation or e-mail the support department or something to see if there is a work around. :/ But when something is corrupted, it most likely is ruined...

I hope you do find a way to recover your game and that they can help.

Here is the U.S. Playstation support site: https://support.us.playstation.com/

Idk if you are in the U.S. so sorry if that does not work with you, but you can just use Google to search their support numbers and e-mail. Goodluck!

Always back it up to your computer, it's the easiest and safest way.

Also get a 64gb card because they're amaaaaaazing.
