I absolutely adore this movie, Joss Whedon put a lot of his heart and soul into the movie. (The fact that he grew up on the comics counts too)
I love everything about it, the fact that the story makes sense, the Hulk Smashing, this movie got me interested in becoming a writer/filmmaker.
2 - CABIN IN THE WOODS
Whoopedeedoo, another Joss Whedon movie. (Well, The Avengers ís not a franchise that he created per se)
I love how meta this movie is and how it plays with the conventions of horror flicks, also the fact that it *SPOILERS* is also a satire on the film industry.
3 - KINGSMEN
This is a recent movie, but it is becoming a part of this list because of two reasons
The Church Scene (not giving it away) and Samuel L Jacksons villain role
4 - PACIFIC RIM
I like it because, if you're just having a boring day and wanna kill time you can watch this movie and have fuc while doing so.
I admire the fact that Mr. Del Toro put a lot of detail in it and made it as a love letter to his favorite genres.
5 - CLERKS/JAY AND SILENT BOB
I've only seen a bit of both, but I'm really liking them.
I like Kevin Smiths sense of humor and storytelling style
In no particular order, of course
