"All units forward! Don't falter! The gods are in our favor!" Nero shouted to his platoon behind him. He was ordered to take another Acacia army camp in Veshire Forest. He was told that it was a very important territory and contribution to Samaria if he takes over the area. Veshire Forest is a giant array of trees and magical animals, mana (Acacia would call it Aether), and its very important to Acacia because it provides a bulk of their technological functions. Nero charged faster on his horse speeding towards the camp.

"Just as we planned men! Separate and take them out from the other side! I'll take care of them here," Nero shouted. "Yes sir!" The other troops replied. Each horsemen split up and traveled both a left and right path leaving just Nero alone. "Today, we gain victory!" Nero shouted.

Travis looked at Robert. "You aren't seriously believing her are you? She clearly shouldn't be trusted!" Travis said not approving of the newcomer.

 

Amber felt so weak that it was hard to argue against Travis. "I am sorry, but I am too weak to focus on my magic. You see, I have to have complete focus on the subject I am healing. If I don't, then the magic doesn't work, which is why I can't even heal myself now." Amber said. "But please believe me, I would love to if I could. But I need time to heal." Amber said turning to looked at Jonathan. "Get me back to the castle and I will be able to heal faster. I'm trusting you." Amber said as she then fainted.

 

Travis started to laugh madly. "Oh please, that's the oldest excuse in the book! We can't trust this woman, she surely has to be an enemy! Why else would she show up after the monster is dead?" Travis said still not buying Amber's words.

Nero held his head. Travis was right. Something did go wrong. As he listened to Asuka's's rant, the dead Chimera's body started shaking. Nero tilted his head behind him to see the giant dead body vibrating mysteriously. "Aether levels dropping. Now initiating Solar Aether Anthrax Alpha," a voice announced from the Chimera. Immediately, visible gases erupted from the Chimera's body, almost like fog. Nero, being the closest one to it, inhaled much of it, and started to fall asleep. As he closed his eyes, he noticed a mysterious girl wounded a short distance away from him. "Sleeping gas! Nero choked as he fell asleep.

The gas filled the area like a thick fog, putting to sleep anyone who dared to inhale its gases. A mysterious man entered the fog, but to everyone else, he seemed like an ally because of the low visibility of the fog. His robes were jet black, and his hood completely covered his face. "I've seen the future. Samaria is void," The man stated.

"I'm sorry but I am too weak to focus my magic", the girl replied. 

 

Robert looked at the Angel, "Well I guess your right, she has to be an enemy". Robert walked to a nearby tree and rested. He would have to get medical attention swiftly just in case he was bleeding internally. Suddenly the beast started to move and a strange voice said, "Aether levels dropping. Now initiating Solar Aether Anthrax Alpha". Gas covered the entire battlefield.

 

Robert cursed to himself maybe if he wasn't injured he could move faster away from the blast. He breathed him the fumes which was a strange smell to him. He slumped to the ground. Sleeping Gas.

Jonathan just looked at the scene with a blank expression on his face as Robert and Travis argued for a moment, as Amber asked him to bring her to the castle, "Why don't we drag her to the queen, if she sent her...she knows who she is..." he said the most logical thing he could think up at the moment.

 

However time to rest was not yet there...or it was because the beast let out sleeping gas out of its dead carcass, "Ahh hell" he grunted in annoyianced as he quickly unsheathed his sword and stabbed it onto the ground, soon enough a bubble like void barrier was cast around him, it kept the gas away from getting to him, "Acacians sure do love their contingency plans don't they?" he asked, in the now gas covered battlefield, he couldn't see a damn thing around him, only able to make out sillhouetes through the smoke, "What?" he asked as he saw someon's sillhouete, as he could barely make out a voice that said the word 'void' that word ranged in his head for a bit...but he couldn't do anything as he was still in the bubble, waiting for the gas to dissipate.

"Well shit." Asuka said, coughing some as she inhaled the gas. She was pretty much doomed.

And, she ended up passing out like the rest.

While Amber had already fainted, she was immune to the gas. And Travis, being an angel, didn't operate like a human, so most gases like these he wasn't even aware of, or could see. For an angel, there is no such thing as gas. He looked around and found that people were falling asleep. "What's going on? Why is everyone sleeping in a time like this?" Travis asked as he then saw a man in black robes wearing a hood. Travis ready his powers. "Who are you? Reveal yourself! And what do you mean by void?" Travis asked in a serious tone.

The mysterious man didn't answer. He opened his right hand to reveal a dark orb. "Come to Acacia if you dare! Or else, your friends will die, the voice trailed off in a whisper. With that, the orb swallowed up the mysterious man and all that fell asleep in the gas, without a trace left.

When Nero came to, he noticed himself in chains next to Asuka and Robert. He hadn't noticed Robert before. However, his uniform showed that he was part of Samaria. "Asuka! Julian! Wake up you two!" Nero shouted. Robert's uniform suggested that his name was Julian. Therefore, that's what Nero called him. Nero looked around to see where they were. It was a jail cell with the lights a little dim for regular people to see which suggested that they had been caught.

Amber was lucky that she had fainted and not fallen asleep, this allowed her to stay back with Travis.

 

When the man was gone, Travis walked over to Amber and gave her a potion to heal her. "Get up! I'm going to need your help, like it or not!" Travis said to her. Amber then woke up and noticed people were gone. "Where did they go? Where is Jonathan?" Amber asked she then noticed that Jonathan had protected himself with his void power. "Jonathan! What happened?" Amber asked him.

Jonathan could simply watch as the man apparently vanished with everyone who had fell asleep, "Void..." he whispered, still confused at what the man had said before, but this wasn't time to think about that, "Dammit" he said as he got out of the void barrier as he looked around, he quickly punched the ground in anger as he then noticed Amber walking towards him.

 

He sighed as he got up and looked at her, "Well, he captured Nero and the others..." he said with a disappointed tone and with a sigh at the end, but quickly  taking a breath and looking at travis for a second, "Worst part, Nero is one of your main leaders in Samaria, him gone means trouble for us, and the Acacians must have been wanting to capture him...this was a Total and utter failure of a mission" he said annoyied as he looked at Travis..."Well he said to come to Acacia...else they'l die...great more stuff to tell the queen..." he said "Are you two alright?" he asked.

Amber smiled. "I feel better thanks to Travis here, he healed me. But I feel even better since you are okay." Amber said. Travis laughed. "Sounds like you got yourself a friend there Jonathan." Travis said as he then got serious. "You know, maybe we shouldn't tell the queen. Not that I'm trying to be a traitor, but maybe we can help Nero ourselves. We just need a plan. Lucky for me, I am good with making plans. Although if we do try and save them ourselves, you both will have to do as I say and never talk about the actions we take." Travis said to the group.

Jonathan smiled back at Amber and was surprised at her statement, although he didn't blush, he was certainly flattered, "Good to know" he said to them as he then heard Travis's statement, "I guess..." he said smiling as he paid attention to Travis's suggestion, "Well we might not have been able to come back to the queen without Nero anyway, he was the one responsible to lead the charge" he said sighing.

"Not only that but the Samarian troops retreated in fear, let them report that we're missing, that might buy us time" he said before looking at Travis again "What are you thinking on us doing?" he asked, "You know you have my cooperation", he said.

Meanwhile in veshire forest, away from the group.

 

Hustling in the bushes and flora could be heard as Draksis walked through them, he had been sent to clean up after the Chimera, problem with the Acacians is that when they let a chimera out, most of the time it escapes, very little chimeras are captured, so they send him after most chimeras after they are released for testing, this was bad, but also good as it meant he always had a job and a payment ready.

 

He was on his way there, although it would still take a while to get there, he was never good with forests even with his increased awareness, he however came up on footprints on the ground, many footprints, which looked like they weren't left too long ago, "Hm, a large group came through here, maybe the Acacians were smart and ran away when they released the best, or the Samarians ran through...either way...im on the right track" he said as he stopped inspecting it and folowed the trail of footprints and horseshoes prints.

Asuka had awoke, rubbing her eyes.

"Hmmm...? Who woke me up...?" She seemed a little drowsy.

"wait." She stopped.

"Nero...where are we?" She slowly stood up.

She hated being in places she can't escape.

"Can we use our powers?" She asked him.

"Well, that is good to hear, because now we are going to break some rules. I have ties in the Acacian kingdom, the queen doesn't need to know that part. I am going to meet up with them and find out if they know about our troops. You two will have to find where we can lay low in the other kingdom. We will need a place where we can plan our actions." Travis said to the group.

"Damn" He said in response to Travis's statement, "Alright, go speak with your contacts, me and Amber will find the place, but first we need to get to the kingdom" he said seriously as he looked around for a moment, "I think its best we start going, I feel like standing here is just asking for trouble" he said, he had been feeling quite unnerved in the area for quite a while, maybe because of such a battle the Acacians might be sending someone over there after all.

Nero hadn't thought about the use of his powers - whatever power he had. He tried breaking the chains, but to no avail. "Iron fist," Nero said. His hand started to turn black showing that at this moment, his hands were the equivalent of iron. He tried breaking the chains once again. However, the results were the same as before. "Hey kid. Ever heard of Anti-Prism?" A voice on the other side of the cell said to the group. A small lamp shone its way through the cell, revealing all of their surroundings. "Anti-Prism is an anti-magic material extracted from Aether sources and fused with Mithril and Adamantine. It's considered the hardest thing in the world to break and the most effective means against people with powers. So, make yourself comfortable here in my cell," The voice ended his sentence wit an evil laugh as he began to walk off.

 

"Name's Warden Opium by the way. Nice to meet you Nero and Asuka," Opium said before he continued his evil laugh.

(time for the king's entrance)

 

Dharc was sitting in the throne room supporting his head with one hand and waiting for the next reports.

"Sire we have reports of some of your men being captured." Said a man dressed in royal robes. Dharc turned his expression sower. The war was a massive problem and a swift victory was the best solution he could think of.

"So what some die more come and seek glory. I think that's a fair trade." a merchant spoke in a displeased tone. The others argued almost simultaneously saying that it is in the country's best interest to keep the war going. The king only put his hands on his head. There was literally nothing that could be done. Deciding it was enough he slammed on his throne.

"SILENCE!" He shouted and began thinking. Of all the ideas he could muster up only one was enough that he could make the deaths worthwhile. He began tapping the throne and soon stopped.

"I see that you lack compassion sir merchant. War , war , war ... profit, profit, profit ... That was a summary of your minds. As such i shall not deny the riches it brings but when all is said and done even if a mountain of gold would be gained for every dead soldier it would not pay the value of a life." He walked down the throne room and stopped at the center of everyone. His speech was full of gestures with his hands and a confident voice.

"It is not to hate but to love I am born. However none have thus far been compassionate enough to see that what we are currently saying goes against everything we stand for. King be thou for the people. That is my way of life and i will not stand someone tarnishing my name!" There was a moment of silence until Dharc spoke again.

"And thus I say to god and devil alike. A king is someone who leads and none thus far have showed any ability to lead. And so it falls to me to make amends for your mistakes for your barbaric way of thought. I shall depart for the front lines with my personal guard to either negotiate of slaughter to free those who have been captured!" He finished knowing full well that whatever he will do from here on out be one big gamble. His footsteps echoed through the throne room as if that was some sort of holly voice to the others. The second the doors closed behind him and nobody was looking he fell to his knees.

'What the hell did I just do?' He asked himself in thought and stood up. It had been a great deal of time since his blade was soaked in blood and doing so once more was not in his intentions.

 

A number of hours later he gathered 100 men from his personal unit in the courtyard. He looked in their eyes and sighed. These men were on alchemic drugs since birth. Their mind was long gone leaving only the augmented body. They are mindless puppets that will serve him no matter the order. The entire group followed in complete silence as they all rode out full gallop towards the front lines.

"Agreed, I'll go on ahead, you two try and keep cover. We cannot afford to be captured ourselves." Travis said as he then took to the skies and flew at high speed to Acacia.

 

Amber then looked at Jonathan. "You know, there is something about that angel that makes me have a weird feeling. I just don't know what it is. Ah well, we better get going, at least I can help you out." Amber said walking ahead.

"Yeah Travis does give that feeling, you haven't met Asuka, shes the one you should feel weird around though" he said shrugging as Amber walked on ahead, "Lead the way" he said as he started walking right behind her, as he heard her say she could help him, 

"How so?" he asked in a polite and friendly tone as he walked along.

Draksis was getting ever closer, he found some more foot trails on the ground again, these were even fresher than before, meaning he was getting close, although he didn't really know too much, "Acacians" he said as he saw a sword on the ground, which had the normal acacian design, "So they retreated, means they sent the chimera...well...prepare for the worst" he said to himself as he kept on walking.

Amber smiled while walking. "Well he said that we need to find a place to lay low, and so I can help you find a place. Even though I have only been to Acacia only once for a peace thing, I can at least help find us a place to be." Amber said smiling at Jonathan. "Now, while we are walking, you should tell me more about you." Amber said.

"Well, I'l follow your lead, I've never been to Acacia, so i'l trust you on that" Jonathan said to Amber as he kept following her, he was honestly surprised at her question, although he didn't change his tone to a surprised one, "Well, im just your run of the mill knight of Samaria, but with a different kind of magic, otherwise, im kind of boring" he said with a chuckled.

"Well now how about you? I'd like to know more about you as well" he said.

Some time after they left, Draksis had arrived at the location some time later, he was surprised at the scene, seeing the chimera dead specially, seemed like someone else killed it, much to his liking that he wouldn't have to fight the beast himself, which made things easier, seemed like the thing made a number on the place the camp was utterly destroyed, as was a good chun k of the forest as well, "Hm they sure are advancing in these thing's powers" he said with an amused tone as he walked towards, it, "Heads too big to remove and carry around...i'l have to settled with..." he said as he opened the chimera's mouth, which was already partially opened in its dead state, as he grabbed one of its tooths, it would have to serve as proof.

 

"Gr" he grunted as he managed to remove the teeth, as he tucked it into his bag, quite a large one too, he then climbed on top of its dead body, as he pulled out some oil urns, that he used to set something ablaze, he quickly pulled out a few and spilled them all over the beast, as he quickly started casting one of his 'signs' "Igni" he whispered as a firebal shot out of his hand and into the oil covered carcass, setting it ablaze, he made sure that it wouldn't harm the vegetation as he started heading out, back to Acacia.

Amber smiled while walking. "Well I am your natural girl who is a healer. I am kind and generous, and would never harm someone who didn't need to be. I lived with my parents for some time, but they wanted to move away from Samaria but I wanted to stay and so I did. I have been a making a living by being a healer to the army of our kingdom." Amber said as she suddenly stopped and looked sad. "But there is something horrible that happened in my life. When I was only ten years old, I lost my older brother to death after he accidentally fell off the side of a cliff. His lost is what made me want to become a healer in the first place and I have always done what I can to help others who need help, no matter what the circumstance." Amber said looking at Jonathan.

"I see..." Jonathan said with a sad tone on his voice as Amber told him about her brother, he knew the feeling of losing a loved one too, he had lost his sister not long after the war began. "Im sorry for the loss of your brother" he said walking towards her, putting his hand on her shoulder "I too have lost people, my sister joined the ranks with me, she as an archer, me as a knight swordsman, she died on an Acacian attack on the camp we were stationed, I...couldn't to anything to save her, I was powerless..." he said with a sad tone as he let go of her shoulder, "I doubt that helps, but lets focus on the objective at hand ok?" he asked her with a worried tone.

Nero watched as the warden walked away. He fidgeted in his chains. He needed to get out of here and fast. Nero's eyes adjusted to the darkness and he began to see where he was clearer than before. He looked at Asuka and noticed that her scythe had been confiscated. Other than that, she looked just fine. Nero began to concentrate. The material was meant for those who use magic. Nero wasn't a magic user just yet by his own choice. "Iron Fist," Nero said. His arms became black showing that his arms have become hard as iron. He remembered his training under the sea. The crushing gravity has made him strong. With willpower, he felt that he could break the chains. Nero began to pull as hard as he could. His muscles bulged as he pulled even harder.

With one last pull, the chains were yanked out of the wall that held him captive. The chains, however, were not broken but at least he could move now. "Asuka!" Nero whispered with emphasis. "We need to get out of here!"

Nero's right leg turned black showing that it had become as hard as iron. He kicked down with all his might, severing the chains from the wall that held Asuka. "We need to find the key and your scythe," Nero said.

Kai Bujin and Erodius were ordered to scout Vershire Forest and look for any other prisoners. They were currently walking through a forest outside of the Acacian walls. "Ah! What a nice day for a walk!" Erodius shouted. The sun beaming through the trees and squirrels and birds all singing in harmony, provided the perfect atmosphere for a nice nap in the forest. "Stay focused. There could be survivors near us, as we're very close to the chimera now," Kai replied quietly. Just then, the two noticed the presence of a couple of individuals. Erodius' bloodlust quickly spiked, causing the birds and squirrels, who were once so peacefully singing, to run in fear. Erodius charged at the individuals. "A Samarian boy, a girl, and an angel. This is going to be fun!" Erodius shouted.

 

Kai sighed. "He's always like this," Kai said. He jumped in after him, kicking down a couple of trees to converge on the group, providing no escape.

Queen Aluna stood at the pinnacle of the Samarian Royal Castle. Her staff from Gaia gave her knowledge of what's going on in the world. The Acacian King was mobilizing his troops, Nero and Asuka was captured, Jonathan and Travis were being ambushed, and another war was brewing on the borders of the Armageddon Sea. However, she needed to do her part. "Gilgamesh," Aluna called. A man clothed with dazzling armor appeared and bowed before Aluna. "Yes, my queen?" Gilgamesh asked with his head bowed. "Get an army ready. We're going to intercept the Acacian's," Aluna replied. With a deceptive smile, he nodded and excused himself.

 

War was about to begin with the young top rookies caught in the crossfire.

(Travis is actually already gone from the forest. Right now is currently with someone he knows from the other side)

 

Travis appeared in a old cabin in Acacia talking to an old friend. Travis managed to get here so fast because he used his light speed attack to give his wings a boost in speed. The person he was talking to could not be seen in the scene for some reason (mainly to keep them a secret). "So that's the problem. My troops are in trouble, and I need all the help I can get." Travis said as the scene then faded away.

 

Amber screamed out in horror at the sight of Erodius. "Jonathan!" Amber said warning Jonathan of the attack. Amber then looked to see that this person was Erodius. She knew him all too well, as she had helped him before, and so now she was hoping that he wouldn't recognize her, so she could keep her cover.

"What the-"  Jonathan could barely finish his sentence as Amber warned him of Erodius approaching, he quckly unsheathed his sword in reaction and put his arm in front of Amber, he had a bad feeling about this, he could barely sense another individual in the area, "Great, already spotted" he said annoyied as he took a glance at Amber, who looked shocked, but for some reason he couldn't help but think that she knew him, or else why would she had been so scared?

 

He quickly enchanted his sword with void magic, giving it a bright grey glow on its blade, he entered a combat stance. "Well you've been to Acacia once, you know this guy by any chance?" he asked Amber.

 

(Oh boy Jonathan is being played like a fool by amber and now he's gonna have to struggle with Kai bujin and Erodius? if you wanted Jonathan dead you could have said so and I would have changed him Utopia , im kidding, he aint going down without a fight though).
