"I'm escaping this world

one step at a time

but all I need first

is a partner in crime" - J.H.

Laughter and posh lectures one with another. Gentlemen in suits and ladies in dresses. The environment felt elegant and suffocating in this venue, at least for the seven year old Giotto. He looked adorable in his little suit, at least that’s what everyone said as his father showed him off. His father was the chief of security of the city, wealthy, handsome, widower, everything and anything Giotto could care less of. His most popular trait was his hatred and fear against mutants, beings with supernatural abilities that could surpass animal and machine. The city both feared them and revered them, it was a dividing side. But being a small minority they would only stand out every so often in the news. What his father would never know was that his own son was a mutant with developing powers. Another rub to the head, causing his hair to get messed up caused Giotto to groan and sneak away, away from the strong smelling perfumes and out a door that led to the outside for fresh air, the back parking lot barely lit up by a street lamp and decorated with a few garbage cans. “Stupid party, stupid stuff, stupid dad.” Giotto muttered under his breath as he got his hands in his pockets and kicked around a rock. He hated social events like this. Not only was he ignored, he was used as an item to show off. “Stupid!” He kicked the rock again.

"Yeah! Let's take her to Beauty! Though then I'm guessing she's not around down there." Giotto chuckled. To top it off, Jesse made a new friend. Not that he couldn't make any new friends, was just a surprise to Giotto as all. But he was happy regardless. Inside Hansel finished his drink and heard the beeping of his phone. He took it out and read his most recent text. "Oh shoot." He sighed, getting it away. "Here." He quickly took a napkin and wrote his number down on it, handing it to Jesse. "Sorry, gotta go really quick. My shift at the store is starting soon." Hansel said as he stood up. "Text me if anything, alright?...and thank you. You're really special, you know." Hansel smiled before suddenly disappearing, or for better explanation, turning invisible as he walked off and out of the building, walking past Giotto, glancing him down before continuing his way.

Jesse nodded while he was on the phone. Beauty it is then.

"Perfect." Jesse said. "Yeah, she's not down here but I know where she is. She's working at a bodega a few blocks away. After we could try to see if anyone want's to join us tonight. I'm leaving now so see ya." With that, Jesse hung up the phone and unexpectedly bid Hansel goodbye while taking the napkin. Now something was really off of the guy. Before Jesse could even say anything next he disappeared. Lovely. With a small shrug, Jesse left outside. He greeted Giotto, Mimi and Angus. "Sorry I took so long. So many ladies were on me I couldn't help myself~"

Mimi giggled, although she didn't understand what Jesse was talking about. "Hap! Hap!"

Angus rolled his eyes and scoffed at Jesse's comment.

"Ja. Ladies." He said. "In one of those, how you say, Playingboy Magazines."

Jesse crossed his arms. "Can it Schwartzeneggar." He huffed. "I'm not subscribed to Playboy.... I just buy a few issues from the stores here and there that's all." In reality, he basically had a collection of the issues.

  • Author

Giotto rolled his eyes as he got his phone away. "Wait, Playboy, that sounds familiar..." Giotto needed to think about it for a bit, before his eyes widened in horror as he looked over at Jesse. "Jesse!" He gasped. "You promised Johnny you wouldn't collect those!" He couldn't help but to smile regardless. Playboy wasn't his thing, but if it was Jesse's, he wasn't one to annoy him to stop his hobby. "Alright, to the bodega it is! Goodbye Angus! Have a nice day!" Giotto said as he gave a bow to him. He then began to push Mimi. "Alright Mimi, are you ready to meet Beauty? She's so nice!" Giotto squealed. He then leaned down and whispered into Mimi's ear. "Her real name is something prettier though." Giotto whispered. The two walked all around until reaching the bodega. But before they went inside, Giotto had one question to ask. "Jesse. You mentioned that these...people were trapped and were like us. This is good, right? To free them? It means that they were arrested unjustifiably, so freeing them would be a great thing to do! Who's this friend of yours, though? How come you haven't introduced me to this friend?" Giotto whined.

Jesse rolled his eyes with a grin. No matter what what he would never stopped his 'hobby.' That was the excuse he often gave Johnny. But in reality Jesse just loved looking through the pretty pictures of the ladies in the magazines. He would read it, but he hates reading so he just settles for the pictures. "Well I promise Johnny a lot of things." He said. Once they got to the bodega, Jesse really didn't know what to say to Giotto. It made him rethink the decision. Surely it must be a good thing right? They're freeing mutants.

"Well... Duh." He muttered. "I mean, they're mutants so yeah. And he had to leave in a hurry so I didn't get a chance to... You'll meet him tonight."

Meanwhile Mimi was so excited to meet Beauty, she struggled in her stroller to go faster.

"Bebe!" She cheered. "Bebe Bebe!"

  • Author

Giotto nodded. "Understood." Giotto said, turning to the bodega. "Lets go!" He cheered, entering with Jesse and Mimi. "Beauty, Mimi. Not Bebe. Bebe is baby in Spanish." Giotto corrected. The place wasn't crowded, if anything just a few customers here and there, shopping for their necessities and groceries. It wouldn't be too hard to find Beauty, he hoped. "She works here, right? Oh but shouldn't we wait until she gets on break? Wouldn't want to get her in trouble with her boss or something." Giotto whispered, quickly getting nervous once he began to think of every possible scenario and consequences as he began to do it again. He stopped, shaking his head before smiling. "I'm sure she will be fine. She's very persuasive and all." Giotto whispered. Her powers worked pretty well, after all. He finally saw her, down the isle, organizing some canned food. "There she is." Giotto pointed as they walked over. "Good afternoon, Beauty. I hope your day has been going well, and your work not as difficult."

Beauty was definitely not expecting Giotto and Jesse to walk in. What surprised her the most was the little girl that Giotto was pushing around in a stroller. Immediately she squealed, and kneeled down to talk to the child.

"My day is going so much better now that I get to see a beautiful little girl~! Aww, is she yours?" She asked. "You're too young to have a daughter."

Jesse crossed his arms and leaned on the shelf. Hell no he didn't have a child. Ew. He didn't like the idea of being an actual father. He loved being a big brother, but not a father. "Hell no." He said. "Her name is Mimi. She's out little sister."

Mimi giggled and threw her arms out to give Beauty a hug. "Hai! Hai Bebe!" She cheered with a bright smile. Beauty squealed even more.

"Ahh~! I want to keep her!" She said.

  • Author

Giotto couldn't help but to laugh at the suggestion that it could've been their daughter. Luckily, Jesse fixed the confusion. "Mimi is Jesse's little sister. We decided it would be a wonderful day to take her out for a walk. Can't have her inside all the time. A princess needs her sunshine once in a while." Giotto said cheerfully as he looked down at Mimi. "She's pretty rambunctious isn't she? She gives Johnny a lot of trouble sometimes." Giotto added. Then something seemed to click into his head, a light bulb lighting up in his head. He was going to try to get Johnny a date, much to his own dismay. Now to put out a good word. "Johnny is really nice and takes care of her and Jesse...we're giving him a break from babysitting. I bet he's napping." Giotto hummed, looking back up at Beauty. "Ah, I also wanted to apologize for me running off without much explanation. When I realized the hour, it turns out that I was late for a practice. But my dad was alright with it and I'll make it up later." Giotto chimed. Of course, he was lying about the part of his dad being alright with it. But he couldn't possibly bring that up. He didn't want to bring that up. He loved his father, regardless how many times he was beat, how many scars appeared on his body. His father was his dad and that was final. "Mimi, it's Beauty, not Bebe. B-E-A-U-T-Y. Repeat. Beauty~" Giotto purred, trying to teach Mimi the right pronunciation.

Jesse caught on to what Giotto was trying to do. He had to admit it would be amusing as hell to see Johnny in a relationship with anybody, especially Beauty. Honestly Beauty was probably too young for him, but who cares.

"Hell yeah. He's super cool, and hot in a non homo way." He said sarcastically with a snicker. The cool part was true. Hot? Probably not.

Beauty crossed her arms and rolled her eyes. She immediately accepted Giotto's policy.

"It's okay that you had to leave... But I dunno if I would want to go out with this... 'Johnny' person~ I'm a very hard woman to impress, and I'm very picky when it comes to my men. There's only one person I ever dated." She was very proud of it. Men had to fight for her love. Many had tried, but only one was worthy of her. She reached out and patted Mimi's hair. "Aww and she could call me whatever she wants~" she said with a giggle. "And her hair is atrocious! It looks like almost as if a weed wacker did it!"

Mimi giggled along with Beauty and put her hands on her head. "Har eewwww!"

  • Author

Oh well, at least he tried. Giotto could take a guess of who she had dated however...and if it was the person he suspected...he knew Johnny had absolutely no chance whatsoever. He'd had to settle for lower standards. "For the atrocious hair, it was all Jesse's fault." Giotto went ahead, throwing Jesse under the bus without much second thought. "I try soooooo hard to teach him but it doesn't work as well." Giotto purred, chuckling to himself as he looked up at Beauty. Beauty had a way with children it appeared, and Giotto couldn't hep but to imagine for a few seconds of what it would be like for Beauty to be a mom. She'd definitely be the hot mom everyone loved, teachers and parents and kids alike. She would be wonderful, as far as Giotto could presume and see. "I have a feeling that when she starts walking none of us will be able to stop her. She's going to be as quick as a roadrunner! But that's why we are around. Jesse and I will be her big brothers and protect her from any harm!" Giotto announced proudly, taking a glance down at his phone and looking at the time. They had some time left.

Jesse looked to Giotto with anger and betrayal written all over his face. In a not serious dramatic way of coarse. He looked as if someone told him his goldfish was flushed down the toilet.

"It is not atro- atro... atrociaus!" He claimed. He honestly didn't know what the word meant but he knew it wasn't a good thing. "I made her hair so damn pretty, I could become a hairstylist but I won't because I'm a true man!"

Beauty crossed her arms and rolled her eyes. Right away she began to undo Mimi's hair to fix it up.

"What does being a man have to do with being a hairstylist? Although, you'd be a terrible one. I would feel bad for any client you get. Ugh, you used rubber bands to tie her hair back?! That could hurt her..." She shook her head and fished into her pocket to take out two hair ties. From there she comed Mimi's hair with her fingers and tied her hair into two soft pigtails. "I'm sorry sweetie. I don't have any pretty hair ties for you but I'll get you some. You have soft beautiful hair~"

Mimi smiled and leaned forward as Beauty did her hair. Visibly she was relaxed, loving the way Beauty combed her hair. It was the exact opposite when Jesse did it. Once Beauty was done Mimi excitedly moved around in her seat.

"I prety! I prety!" She chimed.

Giotto smiled brightly as he watched Beauty fix Mimi's hair. She did wonderfully and Mimi seemed way happier with the result than with Jesse's. Giotto turned and nudged at Jesse. "Did you see that? Did you take notes? You better have taken notes. Otherwise when she grows big enough to walk she's going to run all the way here for Beauty each time she needs her hair fixed up." Giotto told Jesse, smiling all the way. Heck, Beauty was a better and faster at it than Giotto! But growing up as a girl of course helps, as boys don't need to deal with having their hair done. Giotto needed to learn more if he wanted to catch up. He glanced down at his cellphone again and clicked his tongue a bit, turning to Jesse and pulling on his sleeve a bit. "Jesse. If you want us to do the thing with the thing on the thing that results in the thing, we should get going to leave Mimi with Johnny." Giotto said with big sparkling eyes. "And if we get in trouble I'll just use my puppy eye look on Johnny again."

Jesse huffed as he listened to Giotto's words. Yeah, he wasn't perfect at doing girl hair but he was descent at it! Sure, he never does his own hair (he just goes outside with it how he woke up) but he could learn in a snap. He was going to complain further, but Giotto pointed out and reminded Jesse yet again that Giotto still had an asshole father to deal with. Jesse looked easily annoyed, and fuming.

"Alright alright whatever." He muttered. Already he wanted to kill the guy. "Sorry Beauty. We gotta go."

Beauty stood up and sighed softly. She knew something was up, but honestly she wasn't going to pry in it. It was something stupid and she didn't want to even bother bugging them for it. Especially with how stubborn and annoyed Jesse could get. If they got hurt, she would scold them later.

"Fine...." She looked down at Mimi and smiled. "Bye sweetie. I'll buy you some sweets next time okay? Right now..." She looked to the aisle and grabbed a small cookie. Mimi should be able to munch on it with her age. "I'll just pay for it in a second. Be a good girl okay? Bye~"

Mimi took the cookie happily, but sniffled. She didn't want to leave so soon, especially after she met such a nice lady.

"N-Nu....." She whined. "Beebee....."

Giotto gave his usual bow. "Thank you, Beauty. We'll be on our way." He said. He turned to Mimi, smiling. "It's ok Mimi. We will visit her again. I promise." Giotto assured as he kissed her head gently. He turned, heading out with Jesse and back to Jesse's home. Along the way he couldn't help but to think of the little mission that Jesse had set up tonight. Mutants were at risk. "(But I've never heard of mutants being arrested specifically. Have people been telling on each other...?)" Giotto thought. This would be troubling. He knew his father had a thing against mutants...but was he using his job to go along with his vendetta? If that was the case, maybe his father was more than just sick? Giotto shook the thought away, reaching the place with Jesse and sneaking right in with Mimi. "We're back from our stroll! We saw a lot of people. We also saw a friend of ours you might like...but you're out of her league by 100 points." Giotto teased Johnny. In other words, unless he got lucky, he had no chance. He smiled down at Mimi. "We're going to head back out though. Without Mimi. Secret stuff and all."

Johnny really wasn't expecting everyone to be back so soon. Jesse and Giotto were always our doing something stupid, although they did have Mimi so he should've expected them to drop her off at this time. And of course, they're going back out again. Lovely. Johnny could tell he would be growing white hairs at an very going age.

"Whatever." Johnny said blankly as he picked up Mimi out of the stroller to set her in her little crib. He didn't think much of the woman part, for Johnny thought any woman was out of his league. Even prostitutes. "When I see your stupid asses in jail imma keep you there."

Jesse rolled his eyes as he promptly plopped himself on the futon. Johnny was so annoying sometimes.

"We'll be okay for f*** sakes. It's something important.

Meanwhile Mimi yawned softly as she was dropped into the crib. Already she was fired and falling asleep.

  • Author
Giotto watched Mimi instantly fall asleep. Today had been an eventful day. He turned to Johnny, walking closer to him. "You really think I'll let ourselves get arrested? If I get arrested dad will be angry, you know. Flashing my pocket watch will only work one so many times." Giotto chuckled. He then frowned and looked up at Johnny with puppy eyes. "This is really important though, Johnny. Jesse is right. You see...we're going to rescue mutants." Giotto whispered, almost squealing in excitement. "Mutants have been arrested for no reason other than being mutants, so we're going to help them out and free them. They're innocent, so we'll be like heroes!" Giotto could barely contain his excitement, jumping up and down as he began to jump around Johnny much like a bunny. "Maybe we'll make friends, and even more people who are willing to join us to be part of the resistance group against the Skulls! We're going to be like spies in one of those movies, ya know!"

Johnny at this point was too aggravated to yell and lecture. He knew that no matter what, they were going to do what they wanted and not listen to him. The best thing he could do now was to give them advise, and let them learn from their mistakes. Still, this 'operation' was very dangerous. And the purpose of it might not be the best one.

"Giotto..." Johnny muttered as he grabbed Giotto by the shoulders. He looked sternly into Giotto's eyes. "You need to be careful... Like it or not some mutants are in jail for reasons. There's still mutant murderers, rapists... Many of them are there for telling on each other of the crimes they did. You don't know who you're breaking out. Remember that."

Jesse suddenly growled. How could Johnny say such a thing? How could it be bad to save innocent people who are there just for being mutants? Jesse knew what Johnny was saying was bullcrap.

"That sounds so f***** up coming from you." Jesse muttered. "I thought you supported mutants. You're seriously telling us we shouldn't go save innocent people locked up for no reason?"

"I didn't tell you not to do it!" Johnny snapped back. "I don't want you to, but I'm not telling you not to. All I'm saying is just be careful who the f*** you're helping! Not every crying sorry son of bitch in jail is an okay guy. I've seen guys on TV- mutant and not mutant who are bawling their eyes out and you think they're innocent because of how sorry and nice they look, until you find out they were caught molesting a child or killing an innocent woman."

Jesse slowly shook his head. He had enough of this. Jesse absolutely hated it when Johnny made him think twice about his decisions. It made him unsure. "C'mon hotshot... Let's prove him wrong." Jesse muttered as he grabbed Giotto's wrist and tugged on it. "They're waiting for us."

  • Author

"We have someone who will help us break him out. We will end up breaking out some other unrelated mutants, but at least we will know their faces for reference later on." Hansel explained to the group of skull members around him, all of their faces hidden with contrasting shadows of their clothing. "If this kid's powers are as good as they seem to be, we might end up finding more use for him than just an isolated incident. That other kid too, Jesse. He's naive and headstrong. He might have to be tricked a bit to think that he's helping the 'good guys', but he can be used further on as well." Hansel chuckled. He looked down at the clock and turned. "Now unless anyone has anything else to say, I better get going to help. You can come with me if you want...just don't end up scaring them away."

...

Giotto looked up at Johnny and then lowered his gaze. It was true, not everyone was a saint. As much as Giotto wanted to believe that there was good in every person, some people just didn't had any good in them at all. Like Jesse's dad. However mutants were such a small percentage of the population, could such small percentage be all that bad? Surely they were just trying to defend themselves. Mutants never had it easy in this world. Born to be feared, awed and hated all at the same time, there was really no place for any of them that could be 100% safe. Giotto looked over at Jesse and gave a small nod. He smiled at Johnny softly. "Don't worry, Johnny. We'll be alright. I promise. I'm sure we'll be doing good. We wouldn't be doing it otherwise." Giotto assured. With that, he let himself be pulled by Jesse out of the household and into the streets. The sky a darkened orange color as the sun barely shone over the horizon.

In the meeting, the young lady from before leaned back in her seat and crossed her arms. She was completely unamused, and she thought the plan was just stupid. Why couldn't they just find a bad cop to bribe or something? It was better to do that than to make an entire scene over it. It was just one person anyway.

"Ugh, whatever." She muttered. "This entire thing is just stupid. Do you really want all the attention on us right now? I'll probably just watch you guys f*** up some s*** but other than that I'm okay with this little play date. Whatever you do, make sure you get those two doofuses thinking they're helping good guys. And when we don't need them break their hearts before killing them. It's very easy breaking a heart..." She slowly grinned and turned her hand into a fist.

Meanwhile Johnny just let them go. At this point they were going to do what they wanted. He just hoped that whatever they decided to do the consequences won't be severe. But it probably will be.

"When are they going to learn..." He said to himself, running a hand through his extremely short brown hair. Already a few grays grew.

Once they got outside, Jesse turned to Giotto. He absolutely had enough of Johnny. When was he ever going to stop treating them like kids? Maybe after the mission Johnny will finally accept the fact that they're not babies anymore.

"I can't believe he told us all that bulls***. Could you believe what he said? We're saving nothing but innocent mutants who don't deserve to be there. The only reason why the arrested mutants and said to be murderers and s*** is because the media portrayed all of us that way! If a mutant steals food so he can eat, he's thought as a thief. Oh but if a normal mother f***** steals food he's a brave hero right?! Man, f*** him and f*** that!" At that point, Jesse was ranting, just going on and on. Some of it didn't even made sense anymore. "The Feds make money off of us in jail right? Isn't that how it works?"

  • Author

Hansel frowned, turning away from his female comrade. "You're never happy with my plans..." He pouted before disappearing.

Giotto had to think about that question. He had always been forced to learn of the laws and how everything seemed to work in the justice system in hopes of replacing his dad one day, but now, everything just seemed to be out of place, especially when it came to mutants. "Well..." Giotto murmured. "The police are considered a public work group. They work and are paid by the hour. Of course they are paid good if they have to deal with mutants because they consider that being a dangerous situation...I don't know if they get paid extra just for capturing mutants though." Giotto said. Part of him wanted to tell Jesse that maybe all mutants weren't all good as Johnny had said. The other part wanted to keep quiet, not wanting to provoke Jesse any further. "Besides, what will they be doing with mustangs after capturing them? Its more expensive to keep them locked up than to set them free."

Jesse was still fuming. However after Giotto explained to him how it went, Jesse's anger was replaced with confusion. What the f*** was Giotto talking about?

"Wait so agh what the f***!" Jesse said as he put his hands on his head. "But doesn't the government like pay the jail people with like taxes and s***? Like isn't that how it works? Man that sounds too f****** confusing. Whatever, if they get rich or not let's go free all the mutants! They're waiting for us. And with your Godly powers and my skills, we'll have them all out in no time! While we're at it we get to flip off some cops too. I wanna flip off some cops. But wait s***-" he turned to look at Giotto. "We need better disguises. Like a legit mask or bandana or something. And depending on how it goes they might chase us. We'll need to figure out a way to loose them."

  • Author

Giotto heard Jesse and hummed, looking down curiously. "Well, I think masks should be easy to find. We can find masks or something to cover our faces anywhere. For running off, however..." Giotto hummed. Neither of them were old enough to drive, so borrowing one of the cars from the garage was out of the question. Besides they were too flashy and expensive looking, and would stand out like a bunny in a haystack. Maybe a bike? How fast could they peddle anyways? Giotto gasped with an idea, but couldn't hep but to purse his lips a little bit. "Well," He began. "We have that motorcycle we have been working on. But unless we can fix it up by tonight I don't think we can use it...the only other thing I can think up is high jacking a car and return it later." Giotto said. He played with his fingers curiously. "I think I can get us the masks. I just need to make a quick visit back home. I'm sure I can find something around there that we can use to hide our faces." Giotto said with a smile. "If you can come up with the get away, I'll bring the masks, and we can meet up at the police station." Giotto finally suggested. However he knew that Jesse might need some help with the get away vehicle.

"Really. You're giving me the bulls*** hard job? Fine whatever. Just don't pick masks that'll make us look like little bitches." How were they gonna get a bike? Jesse had no idea. His best chance was asking around in Eden to see if anyone was good with stuff like that. Most likely he'll find some dude with a metal power or something. Maybe even the DJ. Jesse heard the DJ had some kind of tech power. Hopefully that was true. Jesse crossed his arms and leaned on his left foot.

"I'll find a way for us to escape for tonight. Even if I can't get the bike going I'll find some way. I don't care if I have to hot wire a damn car I'll figure something out. Now let's get going. And remember; no masks that'll make us look like bitches! Knowing you you'll probably pick some girly ball room mask thingies. I'll kick you in your damn balls if you show up with that."

  • Author

Giotto chuckled at Jesse's attitude. "I promise. You're going to like yours." Giotto assured. He waved at Jesse, and made his way back to the gold layer district and his home.

...

By nightfall, Giotto walked over to the meeting place, wearing a hoodie and a black venetian doctor's mask with dark lenses for eyes, giving off a spooky vibe. "Jesse." Giotto smiled, walking over before showing him a motorbike helmet. It seemed brand new, black with strikes of color that changed depending on the lighting. It even had a gift bow stuck right ontop. "I was planning on giving it over when we finished the bike, but now is a better time. Surprise!" Giotto squealed. Hansel appeared behind Giotto, amused at the scene. "Aw you two are pretty cute." Hansel admitted, the surprise having Giotto jump a bit before promptly hiding behind Jesse. "Ah sorry. Didn't mean to scare you."

Jesse was standing around when Giotto had arrived. At first he was wondering what the f*** the guy had on his face but at a second glance the mask actually looked pretty badass. Jesse literally expected Giotto to show up with some Barbie bulls*** but he did a very good job. Jesse took his helmet and traced his fingers on it with a whistle.

"Wow." He said, actually impressed. "You didn't disappoint. Good job hotshot." Jesse didn't react much to Hansel appearing (although inside he almost pissed himself) but he did react to the fact that Hansel called him 'cute.' Jesse did not like being called anything 'girly.'

"I am NOT cute!" He protested, holding his hands on his hips. "I am sexy, and badass! I'm not 'cute' or 'adorable' or anything like that! I'm a grown ass man who doesn't have to be 18 to act like it!"

  • Author

Hansel rolled his eyes at Jesse's declaration of being a man and not being cute. "Ah, I hot a soft spot. Sorry." Hansel admitted. He raised his hoodie, turning to the building across the street. It stood out, bright blue lights on its doors as the large emblem with the letters of the department stood out on the wall. "Well, are we ready?" Hansel asked. Giotto gulped, carefully getting on a pair of leather gloves. "I think so..." Giotto murmured. "You two go ahead, I'll be right behind." Hansel assured, walking with the two across the street. As they entered, Hansel turned invisible. They were now inside the main entrance, white floors and walls, a large desk up front as the door that led to the cells and offices was electronic. The officer looked up from his work, staring at them strangely. "Uh...I'm pretty sure it isn't Halloween yet, kids." The police man said, waving his hand. "Please go home, it's getting late, and it's dangerous for you kids to be out." He insisted. Behind him, Hansel re-appeared, before he twisted the officer's neck, and he fell with a thump. Giotto gasped, and Hansel was quick to assure him. "He's not dead! Just knocked out!" Giotto sighed in relief. Hansel then pointed at the door. "Your first job, kid." Hansel said. Giotto walked up, getting his hands on the door. "Fingerprints? This shouldn't be too hard." Giotto commented. His eyes glowed blue as the door reacted to his powers and quickly opened up. Hansel was impressed. Usually they would have to cut off a finger and get through that way. This was easier. "Jesse and I will distract the other guards, you get to the security room and mess stuff up." Hansel ordered. "Got it...be careful."
