"I'm escaping this world

one step at a time

but all I need first

is a partner in crime" - J.H.

Laughter and posh lectures one with another. Gentlemen in suits and ladies in dresses. The environment felt elegant and suffocating in this venue, at least for the seven year old Giotto. He looked adorable in his little suit, at least that’s what everyone said as his father showed him off. His father was the chief of security of the city, wealthy, handsome, widower, everything and anything Giotto could care less of. His most popular trait was his hatred and fear against mutants, beings with supernatural abilities that could surpass animal and machine. The city both feared them and revered them, it was a dividing side. But being a small minority they would only stand out every so often in the news. What his father would never know was that his own son was a mutant with developing powers. Another rub to the head, causing his hair to get messed up caused Giotto to groan and sneak away, away from the strong smelling perfumes and out a door that led to the outside for fresh air, the back parking lot barely lit up by a street lamp and decorated with a few garbage cans. “Stupid party, stupid stuff, stupid dad.” Giotto muttered under his breath as he got his hands in his pockets and kicked around a rock. He hated social events like this. Not only was he ignored, he was used as an item to show off. “Stupid!” He kicked the rock again.

Johnny was rather caught off guard at the sudden flickering of the lights and the changing of the TV. He was about to immediately protest the idea, but Jesse cut him off.

"Well-"

"Yeah, that's a great idea. If you do that Johnny will definitely get Hanna." Jesse said with a nod of approval. Johnny thought this was a terrible idea. If Child Services finds out that their system has been tampered with, not only would they think Johnny did it, but Johnny could serve serious time in jail. He would never be able to get the baby either. But this was a risk maybe that he had to take. Johnny didn't say anything for a while. This was absolutely crazy, but it had to work. For the sake of the baby.

"Fine." Johnny said. "Be careful kid. Don't get caught whatever you do."

The messing of technology stopped, Giotto looking up with a serious look. "Johnny. Jesse. Leave it to me. They won't even know the difference or what happened." Giotto said as he gave a small bow. He turned and started to head out. He stopped at the door and looked over at the TV, which was now in a static channel. "Ah, let me fix that." With some focus and a snap of his fingers, an energy came from him and right to the TV. "Watch the news...its about to get fun." He then quickly fixing it to the news channel. He turned and walked away.

Giotto made it all the way back home. He searched around his closet, looking through countless boxes within it. He took out mixes of different costumes and clothing. He ended up making an outfit out of it, plus a gas mask to which he fixed with spare parts. He wasn't going to let them take their baby sister away.

In the cover of darkness, he made his way to the building. It was one of the many buildings within the city. This should be easy. As long as there was electricity, he was in power. He stood on an electric post right behind the building. With his gloved hand, he grabbed the wire of the post, a spark forming. "Lights out." As his eyes glowed, blue energy went all the way up the cable, his eyes spreading throughout the city, and so the lights of the building and every building within a 5 block radius went out.

(Did he mean the hospital building or a random building?)

Johnny watched Giotto walk off, and placed both of his hands on his face. This was terrible idea. He had to admit what was about to happen was definitely going to be interesting however. He just hoped the poor kid wouldn't get hurt. "So the kid's a mutant. That's lovely." Johnny huffed to himself.

"I am too." Jesse said nonchalantly. Johnny suddenly looked up.

"No kidding." Johnny said with a blank stare. After a small while of waiting for whatever was going to happen, the hospital lights suddenly shut off, however went back on after a few minutes.

"S***" Johnny said as he got up. "The hospital must be running on its generator now... Is this what the kid was talking about? His 'plan'?"

Jesse grinned and leaned his head back. "That's my hotshot."

(I meant the Child Services Building, but the Hospital is close though!)

Clicking a button, his night vision activated. He jumped off from where he stood and used his belt to hang onto one of the windows of the building. He swung and made his way up to one of the windows, opening it before stepping inside. "(There shouldn't be that many people here at this hour. The few ones shouldn't be near the data.)" Giotto thought as he started to walk, light on his feet s he stepped out into the hall and searched for the room, avoiding security guards who guided themselves with mere flashlights. "(Any computer can do. I just need one with access to the data bases here.)" Giotto thought as he entered a room filled with cubicles. He sneaked into the nearest one he could find and sat down in front of it. With a touch of his hands the computer came to life, his mind scanning across it and its data. "(Jesse Jones, Jesse Jones, seriously there can't be that many kids with that name?)" Giotto thought as he narrowed it down. He started to type, moving the data around and formatting it. He erased any negative record of Johnny that they had, and bumped him up to the list of preferable adults, taking him to the top of the list. He also added statements, false ones such as that Jesse's mom had personally asked for Johnny to gain custody of the baby girl if not also Jesse. Lies, but it would only make it a better chance. By the end of it he had erased all the bad and added the good. They had to let Johnny keep the baby girl. They had to let him keep their beloved sister. A final touch: he eliminated all of the surveillance footage for the night. As the computer then shut down, Giotto gasped in exhaustion. "(I didn't realize how much stamina that actually took.)" He thought. He heard footsteps and he quickly picked up his pace, opening the nearest window before jumping out, using his belt to grab onto edges and swing down to safety. He was in and out in a matter of 10 minutes. Giotto climbed up the hospital wall using his grapling hook, making sure he got to the right room before he got himself in trouble. He reached the right room where Jesse and Johnny where in, and opened the window. "Hey," He whispered before giving a thumbs up. "I did it."

Jesse looked to Johnny. "I told you so." He said with a grin. He knew Giotto could do it. "Hotshot doesn't play." He flashed Giotto a thumbs up back.

Johnny rolled his eyes at Jesse, and went right up to Giotto to give him a big hug and even lifted him off the ground. He patted Giotto right at the back.

"Good job small fry." He said with a smile. "You just saved that baby. I'm going to apply to adopt her right away. I'll see if I can adopt you too Jesse."

Jesse chuckled and threw his fist in the air. "I get to keep my sister!" He cheered. "And it's all thanks to you hotshot! One day she'll thank you too."

Giotto smiled. He did it. He did something right. He saved their little sister. Despite everything that could've possibly gone wrong. It felt good to have helped. For a moment he thought that maybe he could do that more often. Helping people, that is, not hacking in always. "I'm so glad." He said, about to laugh before he felt the world spin around him, making him lose a bit of balance as he held onto the window to keep from falling. He paused for about a minute before laughing. "I guess that took more power than I'm used to." Giotto said. Now he was certain he had to push his powers to the limit. Who knew what he could do? "I'll be heading home then, Jesse, Johnny. I think I need to take a nap." Giotto said with a yawn. He was tired. He backed away to the window and waved, right before letting himself fall backwards out of it, and disappearing in the night.

Jesse reached his hand out and then groaned from the pain. He had to admit even though his best friend just fell out of the window it did look pretty funny. "H-Hey!"

Johnny ran foward to see if Giotto was alright. Luckily they were on the second floor and there were bushes to break the fall. "Kid!" Johnny whispered sharply.

Jesse shook his head with a slight cough. "He falls out of windows all the time." Jesse muttered. "He never broke a bone in his skinny body."

The walk home was tiring, but at least it was only a balcony and directly to his room. When he arrived he stripped of all of his clothing and hid it inside a box, to which he hid under other boxes within the closet. He then took a long bath, washing away the blue of his hair as the radiant red surfaced once more. "(Man, I actually didn't expect it to work. Even when it did I can barely stand on my own two feet after going through so much data.)" Giotto thought as he leaned back against the bath, bubbles floating from the bath. "(But it did work. I did a good thing. I was useful for once...I saved someone.)" He thought. Every day he wished he could have done something to save his mother. But today he did save someone...not in the usual way heroes save people but he did regardless. He finished his bath and walked over to the bed, slumping on it as he closed his eyes. "I have a sister now..." He smiled, falling asleep.

The next day, Jesse was fast asleep on his bed. He finally realized that if he was going to get better he would have to sleep, which he hated doing. At least he got free food and a nice view of all the female nurses. Johnny was currently sitting next to Jesse on a chair, struggling to stay awake as he was talking to Mikele the cop. Johnny barely had any sleep over the past few months even before Jesse's father had killed his mother. As Mikele was talking and Johnny was listening, Mikele was sketching around in his notebook idyly.

Giotto was in the car, shaking profusely internally. His father had surprised him today, mentioning something about a case of some kids getting orphaned by the father's act of killing the mother. That to put up a good look for the public eye he was going to visit before heading over to a press conference. Oh no. It couldn't be, could it, talking about Jesse...and of course he was, as it became apparent as the car parked in front of the hospital. Giotto felt his heart leap out of his chest. What if he found out and was slowly torturing him by seeing every single reaction before acting on a punishment? His father couldn't possibly be that heartless..."(If he finds out I've been visiting I'm screwed. Oh God please let the staff not recognize me. Why, why today? What if he found out about my heist? I bet you're doing this for fun, HUH GOD?)" Giotto thought in a panic. His thoughts racing. He had never been so nervous. He wanted to puke. Why was he wearing a suit again? "Giotto, are you listening?" He looked up, looking at his father. "H-Huh? Oh, please repeat?" Giotto asked. "I said to behave. You do as told, and move if I tell you...you aren't going to make a scene or embarrass me, are you?" His tone was serious. Giotto gulped. "(Ah...of course...he's worried about that...)" Giotto thought, before shaking his head in response. He had already lost his temper this morning...better not do it again. "Good." His father said.

The moment they stepped out of the car, they were bombarded by flashes of cameras and microphones to the face. "Mr. Rubocrasia, will the father of the children be allowed to visit them?" "Is it true you've considered in adopting the baby girl?" So many questions, Giotto hid behind his father. "The father is currently locked up and visitations to him have been forbidden for the safety of the children and the staff. I will not be adopting the little girl, as I've received a call from the Child Services about a family friend being the most likely one to adopt the child. Anymore questions will come later." With that, Giotto was led inside the hospital. The staff seemed all to familiar. Every nurse and doctor made him nervous. What if one of them pointed and yelled, hey, I know you! He'd faint on the spot. He dreaded the walk to the room. When he reached it he just wanted to throw himself on the floor and cry out of how worried he was that his father would find out. "Ah, Mikele, you're already here. I hope I'm not interrupting." Giotto's dad said. Giotto stood there frozen in place, looking at Jesse with eyes that screamed 'HELP ME'. Father and son standing side by side was notable that they were related. Both had bright red hair that could be seen for miles, and had handsome features. "You must be Jesse, I'm Alexander Rubocrasia. Your case has gained infamy and reached my desk. I came to see how you're doing." He explained before gesturing at Giotto. "This is my son, Giotto Rubocrasia. He's going to be taking my place one day. Right Giotto?" He asked. "Yes sir." "Now then, present yourself." With that he was slightly shoved forward. Giotto gulped and gave a bow. "Nice to meet you..." His eyes kept darting back and forth, looking at his father's reaction hoping he'd done it right. Otherwise he'd get very angry later on.

Jesse opened his eyes as he heard some movement in the hallway. He wasn't expecting much, probably a doctor or one of his favorite hot nurses. Giotto and his father was something he did not expect at all. As soon as he saw Giotto walk in and this man who must be the father, Jesse almost soiled his hospital gown. As soon as he heard Mr. Rubocrasia confirm his idenity, Jesse just felt lightheaded and sick to his stomach. This was going to be a doosy.

"I-I'm fine." He said with a small gulp. His eyes basically screamed at Giotto to just shut up and try not to panic. He nodded at Giotto and tried his best to pretend he didn't know him. "It's nice to meet you too... I just uh... My chest feels a lot of pain." He started to feign coughing in his shoulder to try to calm his nerves and show that he's still feeling rather sick.

Johnny woke right up once Giotto and his father entered the room. He was able to hold himself together much more successfuly than Jesse. He cleared his throat and introduced himself. If Jesse messed this up he was going to flip out.

"It's a pleasure to meet you both. I'm Johnny Jacobs and I'm the person that is going to adopt the baby girl."

Mikele stood up. He wasn't expecting Rubocrasia at this time. "No sir," he said. "You're not interrupting anything at all." he saw Giotto, and he couldn't help but stare at the kid. He immediately recognized him to be the Giotto that was Jesse's friend but with blue hair. Suddenly he found himself completely confused. He didn't want to blow Giotto's spot, so he sat back down. Johnny was to adopt the girl? Mikele knew Johnny lived in a basement. What the hell was going on? He was definitely going to get to the bottom of this later.

Giotto stood almost in a military manner, his back straightened, his eyes darting around the room. Much as his father preferred. He wore a suit with an unusual high collar and gloves. "So you're Johnny. The case has received a lot of infamy and I was asked to help with the Child Services documents. They called me this morning to confirm that the adoption paperwork should arrive in your mail soon enough. I'll also be dealing with the media in hopes that they leave both you and Jesse here alone, considering the delicacy of the situation." Alexander explained. "Giotto." Giotto's attention snapped up and he quickly responded. "Yes, d-father?" Giotto asked. "We'll be taking our leave now. We have an interview to take care off. Today will be a long day." Alexander said as he bowed to the rest of the people in the room. "If you excuse us." "Um, actually..." Giotto spoke up. He looked barely breathing. "I...wish to ask permission to stay here. I wish to get to know Jesse for a little longer. I also wish to avoid the cameras...I have a headache." Giotto said, visibly shrinking as he spoke. Alexander stared for a few seconds before smiling. "Of course. As long as you don't bother them. I'll pick you up afterwards, understood?" Giotto nodded. "Then I'm off." Alexander stepped away, Giotto watching with his hands behind his back. The moment the doors of the elevator closed, Giotto collapsed. He breathed heavily as tears dripped down his face. "Ah...Ah...I'm sorry...Jesse, Johnny...he took me by surprise too..." Giotto muttered with a sniffle. A wave of relief covered him. His father was...a strict man to say the least. Were he to find out he has been sneaking out he'd chain Giotto to a chair, and that wouldn't be a first either.

As soon as Alexander left the room, Johnny just began to crack up, deeply startling Jesse and Mikele. The fact that they just dodged a nuke essentially made Johnny laugh from relief.

"Haha!" Johnny laughed. "Oh my God, if your freaking father would have found out your a** would be on a platter right now kid. You are so damn lucky right now I just can't believe it."

Jesse shivered. He was still surprised at the fact that he just met Giotto's father. "H-He's scary..." Jesse muttered.

Mikele looked back and forth to everyone extremely confused. "I knew I should have known there would never be two boys with the name Giotto! Can someone tell me what's going on because I'm really confused right now..."

"Ask him." Johnny said as he nodded to Giotto, already slipping into another fit of laughter.

Giotto glared at Johnny laughing. He stood up, hissing at him. "Funny huh? Try living with that man for a year lets see how you laugh then?! Have you any idea what would happen to me if he were to find out?! It's not a laughing matter, Johnny!" Giotto hissed, for once, actually angry. He had his hand about to take off his gloves, but he paused, deciding not to. No. Not now. Giotto breathed and looked over at Jesse, regaining his calm. "You get used to it after a few years of living with him." Giotto said. He looked over at Mikele, who obviously had some questions. He sighed. "Long story short, Jesse and I met after I sneaked out at one of my father's parties and got myself into some trouble. He helped me out, and so I started to sneak out from my house in order to see him. We've been friends for over a year now, I think." Giotto explained to Mikele. "But of course my father doesn't know of it, and I would much wish to keep it that way. Ever since my mom died, I have not been allowed to leave my room without him. I've been home schooled and everything to make sure I'm 'safe'. So now you know. I've been sneaking around. Hopefully when I'm older I'll receive a bit more freedom. But I do ask to keep silence about this matter...father isn't a man that likes his orders to be disobeyed."

Johnny's laughs began to die down as he held his side. He even felt an adrenaline rush from the sudden excitement of almost being caught. He never felt like this his entire life. If he would have gotten caught especially for the forge in Child Services system, he would be in jail for a while.

"Oh relax kid," Johnny said with a small snicker and a snort. "I'm just shocked that we didn't get out a**** caught."

Jesse couldn't help but raise an eyebrow. He never seen Giotto really mad before. He lifted up his arm to lean on his elbow.

"Johnny chill." Jesse said. "You're making my hotshot mad."

Mikele ran a hand through his hair. He was just completely dumbstruck. "What the hell? I guess I won't tell..."

Giotto snapped his gaze at Johnny. His laughter only made him angrier. The TV already started to change channels rapidly, and a random coffee pot from the break room across the hall exploded, coffee covering the room. "Stop...laughing...it isn't...funny..." Giotto hissed, the anger in his eyes almost wrathful. He didn't hesitate as he dashed at Johnny, grabbing him by the collar of his shirt. "Don't laugh!!! I realize you would have it bad had father found out. You guys have it bad as it is, I get that! But do you think it would go any better for me just because I'm his son?! That he would hesitate on any punishment?! I've been locked in my room for years, and you guys are the only reason I've been free for the first time since my mother's death, and you think this whole thing and the fact we just happened to get away is FUNNY?!" Giotto screamed at Johnny. The lights flickered on and off, the TV would change even more rapidly of channels. Even Jesse's equipment started to malfunction until eventually the whole room went dark. Giotto breathed and calmed down, letting go of Johnny as the lights came back on, working normally. Except the TV which now stood on a static channel. Yelling felt good. He wasn't allowed to yell when his father was around. "I...forgive me." Giotto muttered, backing away as he let himself rest against the wall. "...sorry."

Johnny was rather caught off guard by Giotto's outburst. He never seen anger like that especially from Giotto. He was used to it from Jesse, who goes on a rant on anything. He actually noticed just now that Jesse has been much more softer lately, more calm. Could it be because of them two being together? Could they have rubbed off on one another? Johnny stopped laughing, not just because Giotto told him to. He let Giotto grab him by the collar and do whatever it was Giotto felt neccesary to let his emotions out. Once Giotto was done, Johnny looked at him seriously. "Don't say sorry." He said. "I was laughing because of how lucky we were. But I'm happy you just did that because now I know you can survive on your own now. You must fight for what yourself and what you love you hear me? And don't let anyone disrespect you and try to mock you. If you do, you do what you just did to me you hear me?" He asked as he suddenly stepped forward and put his hand on Giotto's shoulder. "I should be saying sorry."

Jesse stared right at Giotto. He could have never imagine such emotion from his friend in a million years. From the electronics buzzing out just now Jesse knew that Giotto's power was much more powerful than he thought. Jesse could only muster a few words in silence.

"...holy s***."

Mikele was going to try to pry off Giotto off of Johnny until the electronics went haywire for a brief few seconds. As a cop Mikele wanted to stop Johnny from laughing like a damn hyena so that his boss' son wouldn't go crazy, but Giotto had already stopped it himself. He couldn't help but shook his head and roughly shook Johnny's shoulder. "You're f****** crazy sometimes you know that?" With a huff and another shook of his head, Mikele plopped down and went to resume his drawing. 'So my boss' son is a mutant... A really powerful one at that.' He thought.

Giotto breathed and stretched his arms, gently getting his hands together and expending them with a deep breath. "Ok...I'm calm now." Giotto said softly, his gentle voice returning. "The meeting should take most of the day for all I know. Later on I'll just be picked up, taken to another opera play, and everything should be back to normal~" Grotto hummed. But not before he could hear someone slip with a yelp over the coffee covering the break room next door. "Phew." Giotto glanced at the TV in static. He extended his arm to it and with a wave, the TV was fixed to its normal news channel. "Ah...sorry about your equipment, Jesse." Giotto said, noticing the heart monitor had returned to normal, but not without a bit of smoke coming off it. He walked over to Mikele, taking a look at his drawing, quickly forgetting about the whole situation like a feather in the wind.

Jesse crossed his arms and rolled his eyes. "It's okay. It's not in on life support or anything." He paused, suddenly getting a new idea. "Butttt... You could maybe repay me by getting some other channels that the cable here doesn't have. Can you do that? They don't even have the good cartoons. They just put on PBSkids and all that bullcrap. I need some WWE and some SpongeBob dammit... Ed Edd and Eddy too!" He groaned at the sound of some children singing came up on the television. "I'm going to go nuts before I leave this stupid place!"

Mikele was straight up ignoring Jesse until he mentioned WWE.

"Aww yeah! Josh Mena is the best!" He cheered. Jesse protested.

"Nu-uh! Wayne 'Stone' Jackson is the best!" The two began to argue over which wrestler was better, which made Johnny roll his eyes.

"The s*** I have to put up with you two... Giotto is the only one here I don't want to choke during sleep." Johnny muttered to himself. In Mikele's sketchbook, he was drawing a realistic image of Jesse sleeping in his hospital bed, all in simple pencil. Giotto was in the picture too, but he was just a horribly drawn stick figure. It was probably just a joke, and he was just going to draw Giotto later. Johnny was drawn just as a terrible doodle in the corner with missing teeth and a unibrow.

(Jesse would totally love Ed Edd and Eddy LOL)

Giotto smiled at the drawing. "Beautiful." He muttered. It was a piece of art rather than a sketch, at least in his eyes. It also gave him an insight of how Johnny looks while asleep. Pretty cute, to which he would tease of later on. "I've never heard of WWE. But I can search for those channels though. let me get a direct route." Giotto said as he walked over under the mounted tv, reaching for the cable that led to the wall. He held onto it as his blue eyes started to glow, inscriptions of code passing through his mind as mentally he searched up and down, traveling across everywhere electricity touched. Talking, responding. Much like it would be with a normal person, only that with electricity and code. If it was electric, it was in Giotto's domain. "Lets see...lets see..." Giotto muttered. His face suddenly turned red like his hair. "WHA why would that be on tv?!" Giotto asked as he shook his head, covering his eyes as if that would help avoiding to see whatever he saw. "I'm very sure that wasn't a documentary of the reproduction system." He muttered, before taking a peek. Over his blue eyes code could be seen. "Oh, I think I found it." The channel changed to the WWE channel, showing some two grown men wrestling against each other, which seemed rather strange for Giotto, but he guessed it was a thing.

Jesse watched intently as Giotto did his work. He was very excited to see some actual shows while Giotto was gone. It would make things more bare able. He grinned as Giotto's face turned red. "Was it a sexy ladyyyyyy?" He asked.

Johnny sighed and sat up. "Jesse, if I catch you with those damn playboy magazines again I will make you eat it you hear me?!"

Jesse rolled his eyes and crossed his arms with a small pout. "Whatever..." He muttered. Once WWE came on, Jesse cheered. "Yeah! Thanks hotshot! One day I'm going to teach you the ways of WWE. WWE is life."

Mikele snickered at the doodle he drew of Johnny. "Thanks." He said with a smile. "I drew it while I was watching Jesse sleep in a non creepy way. I'll draw you something fancy too sometimes. It's more fun then just people telling me what a criminal looks like and then drawing it." He kicked back and started to watch the match once it went on. He patted Giotto's shoulder with a smile. "I don't know exactly what's going on, but thanks. Your secret is safe with me too by the way."

Giotto let go of the cable and blinked a few times. "What's playboy?" He was afraid to think too much on it. He glanced at Mikele and looked down. "Ah...yes, thank you. Dad...doesn't like mutants. I have no idea what he'd do if he found out." Giotto said somewhat nervously. His father truly hated them, for not really a reason other than they were different...he was scared of what his father would do if he knew his only son was one of those. He looked up at the show, watching the guys beat each other up in what seemed to be very painful ways. He gulped. "I don't think I wanna learn WWE, Jesse." Giotto muttered as he felt himself shrink. It seemed...painful. "(Drawing criminals sounds...fun? I guess it is fun, but scary to see a criminal come to life through the form of art. It does end up helping in the end, though, right?)" Giotto thought. Sometimes he'd just connect onto the nearest power line and spend his time traveling all across the city through the electrical routes. Watching. Learning. He couldn't hear always. But he could see. But it is never the same than being able to experience it yourself, and that is the one thing he wishes to keep. His freedom, even if it means that it has to be done in the cover of a separate identity.

"Nothing." Johnny immediatly muttered. "It's absolutely nothing. Don't listen to that idiot he'll only poison your mind."

"Hey!" Jesse protested. "Don't deprive him of the amazingness of playboy!" He crossed his arms in his bed. "And WWE is awesome hotshot! Just wait until you see the girls fight. Now that's awesome."

Mikele shook his head with a small snort at the exchange between the three. He gave Giotto a smile. "It's the least I can do. Your dad is a great guy. I'm sure eventually he'll come around and like mutants. It just takes time like everything else."

About two years passed and both boys were now young teenagers. Johnny had taken custody of Mimi, or Hanna as soon as she was ready to leave the hospital. Jesse has become as close as ever to Giotto and since then he has trained himself in his new mutant powers. Unfortunately after he had gotten better he was forced into Foster Care for a few months, however Jesse ran away and had started to live with Johnny secretly. His love for his city has gotten even stronger, however lately the city has been plagued with terrible crime with gangs forming left and right. The most infamous gang, 'The Skulls' has been terrorizing everyone in his town. Currently Jesse was sitting down in Johnny's basement, playing around with little two year old Mimi. She was on his lap playing patty cake with her brother.

"Pat..." She said quietly, hitting Jesse's hands. "Pat..." Meanwhile Johnny was asleep on his futon in the corner of the room.

Giotto learned much more from his father. However with the new gang threatening the city and it's people Giotto's father has been working overtime, making sure every guard was at their place, creating plans, reading reports. Anything and everything to make sure every possible chance of capturing and tracking down the gang wasn't wasted. This led him starting to leave Giotto at home instead of taking him to nightly events, not wanting him to become a target. It gave Giotto much more chances to sneak out and about. He continued the same simple disguise of wearing his hair blue to avoid getting noticed by the police or getting recognized by anyone who might interfere. After all his red hair was the defining feature, mostly. He explored the city from time to time, using his powers to take note of the criminals. But so far they were good at keeping out of sight of cameras while keeping their identities secret. Something about the group intrigued him.
