Spider-Man MCU Movie in Development

Posted

As many of you, I was excited when I found out that MARVEL made an agreement with Sony to have Spider-Man be in the MCU.

A lot of people thought he was gonna appear in Age of Ultron, and there is a rumor (i think) that there is an easter-egg referencing him in the Daredevil NETFLIX series.

“There is a young kid [already] running around New York City in a homemade version of the Spider-Man costume in the MCU,” Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige said previously about the new Spider-Man. “You just don’t know it yet… In Spider-Man’s very specific case, where there have been two retellings of that origin in the last whatever it’s been – [thirteen] years – for us we are going to take it for granted that people know that, and the specifics.”

The list of actors supposed to play him are

ASA BUTTERFIELD

Tom Holland

The movie will apparently be a
"coming of age tale" with a tone similar to "John Hughes humor and emotion." Marvel is also looking to make 3-4 movies showcasing each year of high school for Peter, and the growth we go through at that age.

The list of directors who're in consideration for the movie
Jonathan Levine (50/50)
Ted Melfi (St. Vincent)
Jason Moore (Pitch Perfect)
John Francis Daley and Jonathan M. Goldstein (Vacation)
Jared Hess (Napoleon Dynamite).
