The Great adventure!

Role players: Steventus, Jack Overland Frost

Once upon a time, there were two heroes, Named Audrin and Astron. They were traveling along a path. As they were walking along this path, they noticed many screams and fire coming from a nearby town. They rushed ahead on the path to find out what was causing all this.

"What happened to this place?" Wondered Astron. "There are a large number of people fleeing from the center of town. C'mon. Let's see what's up."

"It seems to be on fire." Audrin said sarcastically, following after Astron.

He saw the fires spreading around the highly flammable wooden homes of the square, and searched for some way to put the flames out.

"We gotta do something! This whole place is going up like kindling!"

"I'll take down the fire, Audrin! You go find out what's causing all of this!" Yelled Astron, as he summoned a wave of water out of nowhere but the palm of his hand.

Audrin took off into town ,past screaming people, and stared at the dead center, as IT came into view.

"Oh...crap..uhhhmmmmmm... " He took a step back, tripping over a rock and falling back to stare the dragon in the eyes, feeling it's heated breath begin to roast him alive

Then, suddenly before the dragon could set Audrin ablaze, a current of water came crashing into the Dragon's mouth, quenching the flames. "Enough with your fire! You will no longer be capable of burning even a single blade of grass ever again!" Cried Astron, As he shot an countless torrent of water from his fists. "After I got that fire, I knew that I needed to see how things were being handled here."

The dragon slowly picks itself up after being blasted with water. "You... Pathetic mortals. I will CRUSH you!" Yelled the dragon. This was a surprise for the two heroes.

"Uhm...so this is kinda a bad thing, right?" Audrin yelled, glaring at Astron

"I would assume so." Astron yelled back at Audrin. "And the worst part is that it can talk."

"Not for long!" Audrin yelled, grabbing a broken timber pole off a porch. The jagged end made the perfect weapon. "come at me, you overgrown gecko!"

The dragon was still worn out from the over hydration and was unable to move. "You think you have outsmarted me?!" The dragon yelled in rage, while swinging his large tail at Astron. "Aw, drat!"

Astron said to himself, and he was sent flying towards a nearby stone building. Astron's back was devastatingly wounded by the impact. "Gaahh!! *Pant* *Pant* Great, now 'I' can't move!" Astron Yelled to Audrin, with as much energy he had, "Go for its side. That's its weak point..."

"The side?! Gahh!"

Audrin dodge rolled from a side swipe, getting in a good jab that left a bleeding gash in the dragon's scales. It roared angrily, stepping on a sheep running by.

"It's not nice to step on the dang sheep!" Audrin screamed, taking a springing leap and digging the pole deep into the dragon's side.

The dragon bled darkness right in Audrin's fierce look on his face. "Grroooooaar!! You will regret the day you made enemies with the Powerful Witch Mirazble!! You will never see the light of day when she's through with you!" The dragon yelled as loud as possible before he vanished into thin air. "Aww man, he's finally done and over with, but boy, did he do a serious number on my back... When we thought this town was in need of help, WE were the ones who ended up needing help. *Pant*" Astron nearly fainted from the wound. As the dragon was slain, the people of the town were returning to the center of town to find Audrin and Astron exhausted and decided to bring them to their only Inn in town. The two heroes were being treated as quickly as possible.

"This got cushy suddenly, didn't it?" Audrin cracked, as he ate grapes like a pig, his face messy with juices.

"not that you were out much...your back okay? You hit pretty hard." He gave his partner a sympathetic look. "Like this one time I dislocated my arm..oh, wait, have I told this one yet?"

A fine inkeeper girl brought Astron a glass of water. "Here you go, I hope you get better. Holler if you need anything." The girl smiled at both Astron And Audrin as she left the room.

Regarding Audrin's question, Astron answered, "No, I'm fine, don't worry, I have been through worse. I nearly had my head knocked out of place by a Behemoth." Astron said with a slight smirk, almost a laugh. "But more importantly, where are we? And who is this Mirazble Witch the Dragon was warning us about? We need to talk to someone who can tell us how all this happened, but my backs still a little sore, so we must be careful and be ready in case something else shows up."

As Astron was almost done with his water, a man in a robe-like cloth entered the room. "Ah! So you two must be the ones who slayed the dragon!" The man spoke to them excitedly. "I am the mayor of this town known as Eincrad. We are eternally grateful for your heroism." Astron looked at the mayor for a moment and looked over at Audrin and whispered to him, "Maybe he knows who Mirazble is, and where the dragon came from."

"Or maybe you'll freak him the frick out..just play it cool.." Audrin whispered, hardly moving his lips. Louder, he said "Wasn't a problem, Mayor! We're glad to do it!" And grinned

"Ah, yes, No problem whatsoever." Astron said in a slightly sarcastic tone, glaring at Audrin while pointing at his back, but not enough for the mayor to care too much. "So Mr. Mayor, can I ask you: Where did that dragon come from and who is this Mirazble Witch he mentioned?" Astron got serious really fast.

"Ah, yes, that dragon has been causing so much trouble over the years, and it's all because of the Powerful Witch known as Mirazble. She has been summoning monsters of all sorts to destroy countless towns, and sometimes even small kingdoms. However, it seems to me that they are easily defeated by strong willed warriors like you two." The mayor went on about ancient lore that did not really concern the two. Astron and Audrin listened anyways.

"So...apples. Really?" Audrin said after the mayor was done. "She poisoned apples and fed them to princesses?" He rolled his eyes. "Not exactly 'Best Witch' award winning work there."

He scratched his chin as he thought. "But that dragon could be an issue still."

"The dragon has been reappearing every time our bravest guards have slayed it. It seems to me that Mirazble has been summoning the dragon over and over, almost as if our efforts are in vain. We would've killed the Witch herself, but unfortunately she is nowhere to be found." The mayor explained.

"So she is summoning this dragon in an unknown location..." Astron was curious. "Have you tried searching UNDERGROUND?"

The mayor was surprised. "Well, we definitely did not. Why would you ask this?"

"It's very simple. We need to dig a hole wherever the next dragon or monster shows up. If my theory is correct, the witch might just show up." Astron said with a confident look on his face. "If she is secretly hiding in the shadows, she will eventually show herself."

The mayor was still unsure. "Do you really think the witch is secretly right under our noses?"

"No, but it's worth a shot." Audrin said, standing. "Nice talkin' to ya, Mayor. We'll keep in touch."

He gave the mayor's hand a pump, and left for the shared rooms that Astron and he were renting in the apartments upstairs.

Astron and Audrin head out into the streets of Eincrad, searching for the perfect spot to ambush the Witch. "First, we need to find a way to dig a hole as quickly as possible so that we can ambush the witch from above." Astron thought through many outcomes, and for a moment, he saw a moment in the future where they found Mierazble, but Audrin was killed by the dragon due to the dragon's focus on him. Astron was unable to defeat the Witch and eventually brought chaos to the world.

Astron was unsure if he should tell Audrin about this. So Astron decided to tell Audrin this: "I had a vision of us finding the Witch, but I was unable to defeat her. My sights into the future suggest that I fight above ground and fight the monster while you dig a hole in the ground to find the Witch. I cannot explain anymore. Will you trust my strategy?" Astron was nervous about Audrin's reaction.

"I trust you, but right now can we sleep for a little? It's been a week since we were in a real bed.."

Audrin glanced back at the street. "Where was our room? I forget.. "

He looked at Astron. "We'll go after this witchy-britches tomorrow, okay? Everyone'll live for one night... you know you don't always see the final outcome. Visions change easily. Mirazble is probably just another push over like the bog witch up in Acacia we did in last year."

  • Author

"Very well. Maybe you're right. We need as much energy as we can if we want to have a chance at defeating her, let alone find her. I'm hoping she will not bother with the town at night, even though that's the best time to ambush it. Let's get some rest." Astron agreed, rubbing his eye in tiresomeness. As they were heading back to the Inn, the vision was still bothering Astron. They tried to get as much sleep as they could, especially after all that has happened in just the past few hours. Astron was closing his eyes, but could not rest. He decided to get up to get a drink of water. As he went down stairs, he was able to hear something from right below his feet. He leaned down and put his ear to the floor, trying to get a clear idea of what it was. He heard a voice. It was a woman's voice. She was speaking quite loud for being hidden. "This pathetic human world will know the wrath of the Almighty Queen Mirazble!"

Astron was surprised, but then became rather excited. Astron whispered to himself, "I knew it. She has made herself incognito by summoning monsters from below. Now this is getting interesting." After Astron got his drink of water, he was heading back to his bed upstairs, but suddenly he heard footsteps coming from up there. Astron slowly walked up the stairs to see who or what it was.

Audrin was sleeping, and having a fairly good dream: He was judging the Miss Shepardess Contest, and all the skimpily clad girls wanted to kiss him. The harsh grumbles of a woman's voice woke him, and he crept to the door in only his leather trousers, worried at how easily attacked he was that second, his pointed stick from before downstairs where he'd dropped it, the most lethal object in the room now the water jug.

Astron sneaked around the corner. And suddenly, he realized it was Audrin. "Ack! Oh, h-hey Audrin, didn't mean to wake you. I was just getting a drink of water." Astron was quite startled.

"Quiet!" Audrin hissed, clamping a hand over Astron's mouth. "There's some broad downstairs... not a guest." Audrin blinked, his jaw tight. "I think we found our witch... and I haven't got a weapon."

"Well, I heard someone underground when I was downstairs, but maybe she came above ground as soon as my back was turned." Astron said. "If we have any chance to defeat her while her guard is down, now is the time. No turning back now. If we can't kill her tonight, tomorrow will be more difficult." Astron summoned a blue sword from his hand, and readied it in his right hand. Whispered to Audrin, "Let's settle this once and for all."

"And what do I fight with, my butt?" Audrin hissed.

"Oh...fiiiiinnneee.."

He broke a small vase, and wrapped a strip of torn cloth from his pants around the end to make a highly rigged knife. "This'll have to do."
