i played through half of FF7 on ps1. and then i just sorta...... stopped. i played it enough to know that it was a fantastic game, but never finished it. and now, the remake is announced. what do you think i should do? should i replayhalf of FF7 and play the other half, all before the remake comes out to get understanding of what changed? just replay the first half again to refresh what happened so that i have a better idea and can understand what has changed while still have the game be completly new? or just wait til the remake come out and play that? each have their own benefits but i wanna know what you guys think. what should i do?

I'll share my view and what I'm going to do. I was playing the original version too on PS3 and I also stopped after a bit. The game was good, but I didn't feel that it aged very well and I couldn't play anymore. So I am just going to wait for the remake.

 

I think you might as well wait for the remake and experience it like that. You already played half of it, so you can still see the changes they made so you miss out on that. Other than that, the remake will be more modern and with the times, making it far easier to play and more accessible. Plus we got FF15 and KH3 to sort of hold us over
