who would win? i dont know what to say about this because shulk and sonic are my favorite smash characters, and shulk is a freaken monster when i fight! but i would say sora would beat him but shulk is really strong too so i dont know. but i wonder how strong shulk is in xenoblade chronicles on the wii. i need to try that game out. but what do you think?

Actually Shulk would very much win. At least with is final weapon, he would. The Monado 3 is so powerful that it constantly dose critical damage without modifiers, and can cleave through literally anything. Anything. Yes, this in theory also means normally Unbreakable objects(like a Keyblade). And even if its just the standard, it also has far more range than even the longest Keyblades, his AOE damage is beyond insane at times, and he can force people to the ground with the correct Art combo, and by force to ground, I mean pin them to the floor. Sora's biggest advantages is areal combat being his thing (Hense the name "Sora" or "Sky") and being pinned to the ground, unable to move means he is basically useless at that point(nevermind that he would be completely imobile at this point). He literally can evade and predict each attack, parry and counter it, and ribbionize Sora.It's hard to beat someone who is as incredible a fighter as Shulk and can also see the future and thus predict every move made in a fightSora has advantages(like say, being able to be very close to completely invincible) but if Shulk can avoid every attack thrown at him, and counter it, near invincibility is not enough.

So Sora has a chance to fight back if Shulk's artes are still recharging, and Shulk doesn't have Once more or Second Chance like Sora. In fact out of direct gameplay, storyline wise he develops the skill to have visions without even having ownership of the Monado and can call upon them at any time during combat. Also, Shulk's arts aren't the only way he can do damage. Though Sora can evade a number of attacks, Shulk can force Sora's evasion against him. You literally cannot win against someone who knows every move you will make.Also as stated, with each user using their best weapon, Shulk can just cleave through the Keyblade, and as such Sora likely wouldn't be able to evade in time to avoid death there.Also, to add to this, during gameplay, you can be given a vision of something that is completely harmless, i.e., I got a vision for an attack that did no more than one damage once, and others have as well, it isn't restricted by gameplay logic either by this information known.Yes, Sora can survive those attacks, but also with that, it would be basically going like this:Sora does an attack.Shulk receives a vision of the incoming attack, Parry's and preforms a counter attack as Sora tries to recover from the parrie. (Which occour's in-game when one of Sora's attacks is knocked away)Let's say Shulk hits as hard as Lingering Will, this brings him down to half health. If it's an Art, say, Stream Edge, it does a little more and inflicts Break on Sora, meaning if he is hit with a topple art, he is game for being finished off.Sora areal recovery's and Glides away, and when a fair distance uses Curaga to heal. Meanwhile, Shulk has used Monado Speed and caught up to him, used Battle Souk to refill his Tallent Art bar and preforms Monado Purge on him after curing, it's an energy wave that prevents aura's (and in case and matter, we will say Leaf Bracer, Second Chance, Once More, and Bezerk Charge are Aura's(most abilities listed like them are often considered Aura-like as they keep the person from doing a task and buff them another way, and Leaf Bracer is complete damage immunity which I would also consider arua-like) and arts (or skills) seal, limiting his magical use temporary. Even if Sora goes to avoid it, it's also an energy wave and can track the enemy it's sent on, and Sora is out of magic. Landing to Ether or Elixir would pin him from moving. This means Sora would be locked be hit by the attack reguardless unless he destroyed it on an environmental object, but if he attempts to do so, this leaves him open for another attack from Shulk. Since Shulk knows how to combo, and Sora wouldn't likely know his survival skills, he would likely try and ride out the attacks from Shulk, resulting in an end of Sora.Now say he didn't have purge? All it takes is letting Sora land or use Areal Recovery and nailing him before he uses Cure, something a Vision would warn of reguardless as it would be considered very deadly (Sora recovering any health is basically trouble for anyone) and his ranged attacks (AOE during recovery frames of his Topple Art would force Sora to the ground with enough time for Shulk to kill)Sora can evade, but he is prone to a lot of recovery frames as well, whereas Shulk doesn't have recovery frames in his gameplay, he just attacks, he just does it, and evades as well fact of the matter is that Shulk can see the future, you can't beat someone who can predict, perfectly counter, and then counterattack you when they're allowed to have full possible power. Unless Sora can become completely invincible in KH3 for longer than two minutes, he stands no chance.
