The original version of Thomas and the Magic Railroad has never seen the light of day. It is supposed to be what the film makers initially intended for us to experience. While I enjoyed the original version of the movie, many see the director's cut as having a lot of potential to reach a broader audience with the Thomas properly. Just to let you know, this movie really helped grow my imagination in both my childhood and my life nowadays. I already loved Thomas, but this movie made me love the series even better, with all of its new concepts added on to the already interesting mythology of Thomas the Tank Engine. I owe a large part of my life to this movie and it would not be the same without it.
