I want to start my career in script writing, and i was wondering if you guys knew any people who worked in the film industry who would be ready to offer me a job.

Mostly i wanna work as a script doctor first.

Well, in my experience, the best way to get into the film industry is to volunteer and meet people. Ninety percent of the time, the jobs you get are from someone knowing and recommending you. That's honestly the biggest benefit of film school, really: you'll learn things, sure, but what's more important is that it helps put you in contact with people. Depending on where you live, try and find out if there's any local filming activity, and see if you can get involved, either by going to local awards shows, sending resumes to production companies asking to intern, or generally finding any way that can get you noticed and recognized by people who already work in film. Once they know you, they'll be more willing to help you out.

Volunteering goes a long way too. Chances are, you're not going to get paid right out of the box. The people with money generally are going to pay for experience, which means having a few credits under your belt. Not to say that you will never make a dime, but don't expect to be rolling in the dough. A lot of low budget indy films are a great way to gain experience, hone your craft, and, again, meet other people in the industry. If you make a good impression on them, and they happen to know a person who knows a person, that can get you on the right track. That's exactly how I got the work I'm doing now: a friend of mine was working as a Grip on a no-pay shoot, and asked me if I wanted to help out. While there, I got to meet one of the producers, who works for a local production company, who then hooked me up with other (paid) jobs in the future. So while it takes a lot of patience, it's definitely possible to do.
