So I have 4 games on my computer that I downloaded from a torrent (wasn't fun....remind me never to use one again >.<) but they're all in weird file formats. The first one is in .iso, and the other three are .rar. If you could recommend me a program I could use to open and play them, I'd surrender my vital regions to you be really happy~! ?

Get WinRaR. It opens them.

I would but...gah, I really don't want to buy it. xc Though I guess I could always just get the trial version...but then when it runs out...

The trial should do for now. Or maybe you could download an older version for free.

I'm actually in the middle of downloading a program right now called "RAR Extract Frog"...not sure how it'll work though. o.o;; I might just download an older version of WinRar like you suggested...

Make sure you scan for viruses after you download it. Websites that let you download programs you usually would have to pay for, for free are notorious for viruses.

Already did...nothing came up, thank God. xD I think the game will work now...I'm going to give it a shot, and, if it doesn't, I really don't know what I'll do.

EDIT: The game didn't work. DX Here's all I got when I tried to play it:http://img576.imageshack.us/img576/4173/88377503.png

Do you meet the specifications that the game requires for you to run it?

You can find this out at this website for a lot of games.

Of course it could be the file itself. Torrents are often unreliable.

I think it might be because I need the CD...? Or the code or something. Because this is what I get when I try Autorun: http://img375.imageshack.us/img375/9889/weretttteeeetwf.png

And after I click the first option: http://img535.imageshack.us/img535/8352/autorunt.png

The stupid game is in Japanese, so I really have no clue what I'm doing. (And it's an old game....from, like, 1999, so it might be because it's out-dated...gah, I really don't know. >_<)

hmm. ???????????????????????????????????????????????ok??????????????????????????????????????? isn't too specific. I'm guessing those question marks were japanese characters you don't have installed on your computer so the computer just replaced it with question marks.

It could be that the game is so old it's not compatible with modern software. If you needed the code then I'd assume you would enter it during installation, unless that is the installation. You could need a disk too.

If the game is from 1999 then you should be able to find it on ebay or amazon with a little searching. And it shouldn't sell for more than 20 dollars if its that old. And considering its a computer game I'd guess that the most likely price would be 5 dollars. I could be wrong of course.

Gah, probably. D;

I'm more than willing to bet that that's the installation...but the torrent didn't come with the code, so I'm pretty much screwed. ._.

I might...but I'm 100% sure my mum wouldn't buy it ("I'm not buying you some shit Japanese game! You don't even speak Japanese. Go outside or something.") and I don't have a Paypal or a credit card. xc I'll look anyways.
