Taking place 6 months after the recent events of Pixels, teenagers of different ages with pixelated creatures they call "Pixel Buddies" are brought into a chaotic event. Because of a Pixel blocked being left behind after the invasion and was brought into an arcade building thanks to one of the kids, arcade games from all around have come to life and have started to invade! Now it's up to the kids and Pixel Buddies to end this once and for all!-Chris and Donkey Kong Junior-"Aww, you beat me again!" Chris said, playing Super Smash Bros. for 3DS against his Pixel Buddy, Donkey Kong Jr. who was laughing because he won. They were sitting on the sidewalk in front of their home, which was a short 2-Story house. On the game, DK Jr. had beat Chris's Luigi with his Donkey Kong. "Yay! Papa wins!" Donkey Kong Jr. yelled out, beating his chest. "Hey, careful with that 3DS Junior. We only have that other one." Chris said, then chuckled and shook his head making his short brown hair fly through the air a little. He didn't mind DK Junior winning. He was just a pixelated monkey who is the son of an Ape who climbed all the way to the top of a building carrying a woman and then got captured by that woman's boyfriend, but was saved and then broke into a greenhouse releasing all types of bugs.....Yeah. He's Donkey Kong's son alright. Chris was actually glad to have a buddy like him. He put his hands on his knees and then got up. "Come on, DK Junior. Let's get ready so we can get to the arcade with the others." The 15 year old said, closing his 3DS and walking back to the house. "Okay!" Junior eagerly said. The little strong monkey wearing a undershirt with the letter "J" on it ran up to catch up to Chris.-Tyler and Roll-Tyler, a black, athletic, 14 1/2 year old was just laying on his couch reading a magazine on the latest in celebrity news. It was rare because....Well....He never did that! Probably because he was bored at the moment. During his reading, the blonde, robotic, pixelated girl named Roll was just sweeping the floor with her broom, humming happily. She would do this kind of thing all the time because she really likes to clean! A lot! She was smiling and sweeping until her broom hit the couch. She tapped Tyler on the shoulder. "Tyler? Could you get off the couch for a moment?" She asked."Why?" Tyler said, still reading. "Because I need to clean under there! Please?" Roll asked nicely. "But I don't want to leave! This couch is comfy. And there is nothing you can say that will make me move!" Tyler stated,turning the page. Roll took a deep breath. "Okay. Have it your way." She said. She calmly walked away. Then after moments, came back with a vacuum cleaner, came behind the couch, and just lifted the couch with her one hand! Tyler finally stopped reading and looked down. "Roll! Wh-What are you doing?""It's a win-win! You get to stay on the couch and I get to clean under here!" She said, turning on the vacuum cleaner, still holding the couch with one hand. "And how long is this going to be?" Tyler yelled over the vacuum's noise. "Ohh...About a while!" She replied yelling. Tyler laid back on couch, worried. But this was just the only pet peeve he had against living with Roll. She will clean anything immediately, even him!....But that's another story. He didn't expect that when he touched the Q-Bert kid with that Mega Man cartridge, it would transform into Roll. At first, he was pleased with. But slowly started to get annoyed, but not too annoying. She was more like a sister than a Pixel Buddy.

The Doc opened the door to reveal a white room. There were two seats and a desk next to a window where a completely empty room would be seen. "Welcome to the Testing room! This is where my inventions are put the um...Test. It's in the name." The Doc said. "Now I am going to give you the equipment you need, but first I must ask you...Will you be responsible with this?"

 

"Absolutely!" Chris said. "Promise!" Junior answered. "We'll be good!" Roll said with a smile. "Yup." Tyler plainly said.

Benjamin read the Doctor's lips and gave a small nod. He was very responsible when it came to things like that. Sonic... Probably not. Benjamin would have to keep an eye on Sonic with such equipment.

Sonic meanwhile nodded excitedly. It was probably a lie, but oh well.

"Great! Now that it's settled, let me show you my creations!" The Doc soon walked to the right quickly and then pulled over a table with wheels and a white sheet covering it. "Now the Arcaders, those guys that stopped the first invasion, used specific light weapons, correct?" The Doc said.

"Yeah, I think so." Chris answered.

"Well, just in case another invasion occurs, I built and created a more advanced version of that weapon." The Doc then took off the sheets, revealing a silver, more slender, slightly smaller version of those weapons. They began to shine from the light. "These are what I call your "Light Shifters"! As you can see, I made 5 of these just in case."

"Cool!" Tyler exclaimed. He immediately rushed to grab one. His eyes widened cause he was so amazed by it! And it was easy to carry! "It's cool, but....Why the name "Light Shifters?" Tyler asked the Doc. Tyler was just looking at it until he found a blue button at the bottom in the middle. When he pressed it, it instantly transformed into a blue cube! It was in Tyler's right hand, whose mouth was wide open by the reaction. "That's why." The Doc said. "Whenever you press that button, it will transform into a weapon of your liking as long as it's a cube. Like for example..."Sword"." Blue light then surrounded the cube, causing it to transform into a sword! It amazed Tyler even more that he was holding it! A shiny, silver sword! "And it will transform into that. Pretty advanced, isn't it?"

 

"Oh! And um, the Light Shifters will only work for humans, so The Pixels won't be able to use them..." The Doc added.

Ben watched in amazement as the weapon transformed. Such technology was absolutely stunning. Already he knew he had to get his hand on one of those. He slowly reached out for one. "..."

Sonic meanwhile huffed and kicked the dirt. Figures it wouldn't work with Pixels.

"Doc! That is awesome!" Chris said, amazed. "Well, what can I say? It's pretty good. Now if you are going to wield these, you're going to have to do some training. Practice makes perfect." The Doc said.

Benjamin looked down at the weapon and sighed. Training? How was he going to turn into a Pixel warrior and learn how to use this thing? Benjamin was deaf after all. He slowly put the weapon back down and turned to Roll.

'I think Chris and Tyler should handle this...' He signed.

Sonic meanwhile could sense Benjamin's sadness and walked right over to him. He patted Benjamin's shoulder with a small sigh.

Roll frowned for Ben. She understood why he thinks he wouldn't be able to use the weapon. She suddenly ran to the Doc. "Mr. Doc? Is there a way for Ben to use that weapon? There has to be a way!" She pleaded. The Doc then had his hand on his chin, tapped his foot and thought. "Hmm....Well....There is one thing I could do that would allow to use it if he really wants to. All I can say is that it will give him the ability to hear."

 

"T-To hear? You mean...There's a way that..." The Doc nodded to Roll. Her face then lit up with a smile. She immediately rushed over to Benjamin, still smiling. She signed to him, 'The Doc has a way to let you use the weapon. You'll finally be able to hear.'

Benjamin really wasn't expecting such an answer. He will finally be able to hear? Benjamin never imagined such a possibility in his life. He never heard anything before. He could finally hear the birds in the morning... The sounds of his parents... The sound of Roll's voice. He looked over to the Doctor and then back to Roll.

'I'll do it!' He signed with a smile.

Sonic looked to Benjamin in shock. He sped right up to Benjamin and waved his hands around. Sonic didn't think Benjamin would say yes so quickly. Shouldn't he think about it?

Roll, still smiling, ran back to the Doc. "He said yes!" She said to him. The Doc nodded. "Alright then! Now if you'll excuse me for a moment." He said before walking away.

After a moment, the Doc came back, this time walking towards Ben. "Now, these are, "Hearings", which are this most accurate devices to produce clear sound." He said holding a little blue ear piece. He simply put the Hearing in one of Ben's ears and turned it on. Roll walked closer to him, looking curious and anxious to see if the device works.

 

"Ben....Ben? C-Can you hear, Ben?" She said, anxious to know the answer.

Benjamin closed his eyes in mild fear of what was to come, completely unsure of what was going to happen. He never experienced sound, so he had no idea whatsoever of what it was like. Suddenly, he heard something in his ears. He heard something. What was it, the strange sensation? It felt strange... But he knew it was sound. He opened his eyes to see Roll. Her mouth was moving... And it made noise that he could hear.

"What...?" He asked and immediately placed his hand to his throat. That's what he sounded like? It sounded so... Strange.

Sonic's eyes widened at the scene. Did Benjamin just talk? Did Benjamin just... Hear?

"....You can hear...." Roll said in astonishment. Her widened with a dramatic gasp to follow it. "You can hear..." Her expression soon went from complete surprise to pure joy. "You can hear! Oh my goodness! Hah hah!" She jumped up and down in joy. She was so happy Ben could hear sound. It was a big moment for him. "I'm so happy for you!" She couldn't help but hug Benjamin. She was just so happy. Roll faced Ben with a pretty smile. "Hee Hee! This is just amazing!" She said happily. "Wait...I just noticed. It's your first time hearing a voice speak to you. H-How are you taking all of this?"

Benjamin wasn't really sure of what to say or do. Roll was just talking so fast and Benjamin couldn't listen to her and read her lips at the same time. Inside Benjamin was shaking. Then Roll hugged him. His cheeks turned a tiny shade of pink.

"I...I..." He whispered, before pulling away and signing nervously. 'I-I don't understand...' He didn't know what she was saying. It was just so hard to take everything in.

Sonic shook his head and tugged on Benjamin's shirt. He could easily tell Benjamin was spooked, so it was probably best to just take him out of there to maybe a quiet place to think.

"...Oops..." Roll said, after realizing how far she went. She didn't know Ben would be spooked to hear. It was totally new to him. Chris meanwhile walked over to Roll, trying to comfort her despite her mistake. "Just give him some space. It's something he hasn't had in his life. He'll get better."

"Alright..." Roll responded.

Benjamin looked to Roll and Chris talking. Even though he could hear, he still had no idea what they were saying. It was almost as if sound was an entirely new language for him.

'Can you sign what you're saying...?' Benjamin asked. Maybe if he heard the words and read the meaning he would understand it better.

Sonic shook his head and reached up for the Hearings. Maybe this wasn't such a great idea. Still, Benjamin could hear which is all that mattered. He pulled his hand away.

"He just seems so scared to me..." Roll said to Chris. She sighed. She still felt bad for spooking Ben.

 

(Sorry for the wait. I needed to think of what to say, but then I got distracted.)

Benjamin looked down with a small sigh and tried to calm himself down. He didn't know why he was freaking out so badly. He was finally able to hear. He should be happy.

'Sorry...' He signed. Sonic frowned and have him a hug. "..."
