Okay let's all admit it, Tales of XIllia 2 was the darkest Tales games in the "Tales Of" series. It seriously had a dark plot compared to other Tales games, especially the first Xillia even though that game was a bit more serious than the other Tales games. Tales of XIlia 2, to me, has the best well-written story out of all the Tales games so far because of its dark storytelling. I mean man, I'm still sad that
Julius had to die to become the "bridge" for Ludger and the cast from XIllia
That was such a sad and brutal thing to me. I felt pretty bad for Ludgar that he had to do that in order to stop Beasly Burker and Chronos. ANd let's not forget that point in the game where a time factored version of Ludgar (Victor) killing off all the cast of XIllia 1 from his dimension). Seeing the corpse of Teepo was something I never expected from Namco. I mean holy crap that was some dark stuff right there. ANd even the uncanon ending (the bad ending) was dark because you pretty much had to kill all the cast of XIllia 1 which proves that Ludgar is stonger than all of the XIllia 1 cast combined.
But yeah, Xilliia 2 had such an amazing and good plot. I have not seen a plot this good since maybe Tales of the Abyss (I'm still trying to wonder wheather it's Luke or Asch in the ending). I hope we see more dark stuff like this with fututure Tales games like the new upcoming one that Namco recently announced. Namco really stepped their game sup with XIllia 2 whcih is surprising since they have never gotten this dark with their Tales games before.
