I'm not completely sure if he's confirmed, but the idea of having multiple characters started because Nomura thought that Mickey would be a nice character to be able to use, so I think he did get confirmed.

Hm, well until Nomura or another staff member specifically state that Mickey is playable, I'm just going to assume that he is not. Just because Nomura would like Mickey to be a playable character does not mean that he is.
