I wouldn't be sad if these people enjoy CoD. Let them play what they want. I enjoy playing it from time to time, even if it's not one of my favorite games.

I'm not sad because they are playing COD, I'm sad because they don't give other games a chance

Why would they give other games a chance? They are mostly casual gamer who play mainstream games. It's normal that they are not so deep into gaming as we are. You can try to convince them, but I doubt that it will change their mind.

That's probably the case most of the time but not always. I've experienced people at my school that considered themselves real gamers despite only really playing 1-2 games. Once when I was in middle-school I signed myself up for a sort of "course" that was geared towards gamers. In the course gamers would come together to do all sorts of activities and have geeky conversations and such. Unfortunately when I got there I discovered that about 95% of the guys that signed up for it were casual gamers, that is, people who in most cases only played CoD or Counterstrike and yet considered themselves dedicated gamers. Needless to say this irritated me immensely and I got bored of the course after about 2 meetings.

So I can completely understand if Zeldablade has experienced any irritation in regards to an overabundance of casual CoD gamers.

Some people don't like the idea of a game that takes dedication and time to appreciate its full value, most people are simply seekers of instant gratification. If you ask me they should be allowed to be
