The european release date just got announced by Square Enix.

 

You can now purchase the collector's edition and the day 1 edition in North America and Europe also from the Square Enix store.

 

 

The game is set to release June 28th for NA for PS4, the PS3 version is exclusive to Japan and will release on April 28th I believe.

 

In North America you can purchase the collector's edition for $109 (Around £76), featuring:

Pangalatic Federation ID Card
Collector’s Edition Steelbook
The Game
Exclusive Art Cards
Artbook
Soundtrack
In-game DLCs
Battle background music from the Valkyrie and Star Ocean series.

Imo the collector's edition reminds me of XV's. I have no doubt that this game will go under people's radars this year, I think I'll just be importing the NA version to get it a few days earlier, but the day one edition isn't a must have. The box art looks stunning though.

I've never played a Star Ocean game before so I'm curious to see if this will be any good. I've liked the trailers and gameplay footage so far and the game looks really nice visually.

 

A July release is perfect time to dive into it. I wonder where Square Enix will find the time to fit Nier and 2.8 in for the rest of the year though... One of them has to be a December release I'd say.

Nope, the PS3 version as of now is exclusive to Japan. It will probably stay that way unless there's a group of people that boycott for it to happen.

This game is so hype!  I am still more hyped for FFXV at the moment, but Star Ocean will always be the bees-knees to me.

 

Also, here is the image of what comes in the NA/EU CE, as the one pictured above is the one Japan got.
