What is the significance of khux being a dream world?

just one piece of this of the overrall storyline of khux that makes me think. :)

    The fact that it connects to Dream Drop Distance and justify's the existence of Chirithy's. Kingdom Hearts X was released in 2013 whilst Dream Drop Distance was a 2012 release. This basically means that Nomura still had the Dream World concept fairly fresh in his mind back then.
