I need help with the vaitas battle! I can best him on the first part before he becomes your D-link and you have to Finnish him off. How do you beat him when he has a sliver of life left. I tried shotlocking. I need Help. I am playing on Standord Mode.

Use Zack's D-Link and also what level are you? I recommend you level up to at least level 27

I did this last night on critical lvl 24. pretty much you have to clash with him when he is attacking. I think the attack is dark impulse or something, anyway when he is coming at you, just use of of the attacks you have from d linking with him. When you fill the bar up you are done for the most part. Critical I had to clash about 4 times, so standard might be about 3 clashes.

For the first part of the battle, just thrash him until he has 1 HP left. Once he forges a D-Link with you, use you new commands and shootlock to clash with his attacks. Don't use normal attacks, because they are pretty much useless. If he's using a command at the same time you are, the attacks will clash, and if you can best him with the reaction command following, a large portion of the Command bar will fill up. Repeat this until the command bar is full, then use the finisher to finish him off.

 

WARNING: It's possible to miss when using the finisher, so make sure you're close to Vanitas before you use it.

Go to Mirage Arena and you'll get some HP boosts there

well i did it without zack's d-link at level 25 on standard. I used to following command Deck

 

Tornado Strike (uses two slots)

Cura

Aerial Slam

Cura

Mega Potion x5

Aeroga

Mega Potion x5

Use Mickey's dlink.He can auto teleport so you can miss some attacks.And his finisher is really good.

I know. Use dark spiral and dark link shotlock straight away.DO NOT use dark splicer or try to dodge his attacks because he will destroy you and you can't heal.
