Hero of Light XIV 2,381 Posted August 24, 2016 The Key to Return Hearts has been hinted to not be a Keyblade at all. And yes, he said it had the power to unlock hearts, but if a regular Keyblade can both lock and unlock, why wouldn't that one? Maybe it just depends on the intent of the weilder. Honestly it wouldn't make sense for a key not to be able to do both. And there's stil Namine, we know that she can destroy a whole bunch of memories at once, like she did with Riku Replica, and the shock of that causes the subject to loose conciousness. We also know from her conversation with Riku that she can lock memories away, never to return. Using both those powers, she could shatter Xehanort's chain of memories and immediatly lock them up so that they can't piece themseves together again, at the very least giving him permanent amnisia. Now see, that right there has a lot more layers to it. I still feel like it leaves a door open for him to return, but it still shows a creative use of already established elements in the series. I don't know if I would say it's my preferred ending, but I think I still like it a bit more than just destroying the guy.

There will always be a way to him to return unless he's shot in the head with a normal gun, but that might be too much. And woudl still involve destoying him. Way2Dawn 80 Posted August 24, 2016 Stab all of his Norts in he heart with a Basilisk Fang or dip the tips of their Keyblades in Basilisk Venom. Boom! Figured it out!
Elfdemon_ 695 Posted September 9, 2016 (edited) You don't become a Heartless and a Nobody when you die. Becoming a Heartless and/or a Nobody and death are two completely different things. To kill Xehanort, Sora just needs to beat Xehanort up with his Keyblade until he dies. The issue though is that Xehanort keeps on finding ways to escape death. For example, right before Terra was gonna kill him, he put his heart inside Terra. Sora just needs to be really quick when killing Xehanort and not let him get away somehow.
