D23 Convention 2026 Event Coverage

Happy D23 week everyone!

The time is fast approaching to Saturday, the 15th, where the Kingdom Hearts Retrospective Panel, Deep Dive Into Kingdom Hearts, will be taking place. This event has been a long time coming in many ways for fans of this franchise, young and old. This panel comes after the end of what was once a very long drought of information regarding Kingdom Hearts IV, which until last July was only given it's initial reveal trailer, and a selection of screenshots from June of last year.

Here's everything we know about the event so far: we have confirmed appearances of Haley Joel Osment, David Gallagher, and Tai Yasue. An incredible occasion to be sure; the English voices for Sora and Riku respectively, as well as Mr. Yasue, who has been with the series since Re:Chain of Memories, working as a designer and co-director with Tetsuya Nomura on several titles, including Birth By Sleep, Dream Drop Distance, and Kingdom Hearts III. The presence of Haley Joel Osment is also noteworthy, as while he has expressed nothing but appreciation and affection for the series and its fans, outside of the occasional question in the odd interview here and there, he has never done something this specifically geared to Kingdom Hearts. One also can't overlook David Gallagher, as on top of voicing Riku, a fan favorite for many, has also been streaming the Kingdom Hearts series on hos Twitch channel as of July of 2025.

At the time of this publishing there has been no word on whether or not Kingdom Hearts IV will be seen or heard from, however with the announcements of the aforementioned guests, as well as the news that the panel will be livestreamed, tensions, expectations, and hopes, are at an all time high.

All perfectly understandable of course; Kingdom Hearts has a small but significant history with D23 in Anaheim. This was where they first revealed to us the Big Hero 6 world, "San Fransokyo", as well as the iconic Toy Story trailer, which all but broke the internet at the time of its release. We have covered both of these events in the past, as seen here, and here, and aim to offer the same quality coverage as those prior conventions.

The panel will be streamed through a variety of outlets, including the official Kingdom Hearts YouTube channel, which can be found here. As a reminder, the panel will begin on:

· Saturday, August 15 at 4:30 PM, Pacific Time. Alternatively that's also, 5:30 PM Mountain Time, 6:30 PM Central Time, 7:30 PM Eastern Time, and finally 8:30 PM Atlantic Time.

Also please note, Disney has stated that they will not be keeping the live stream up for re-watching upon its conclusion, so make sure to do your best to make it on time!
