  1. Before Alex had time to react, Athxson had hit him with a blast of darkness, along with everyone else. It send him flying into the wall, and he hit the ground hard. Jason had caught the dark blast in his palm and crushed it. He was about to go after Athxson, but saw everyone else injured, and instead chose to help them get back on their feet. It was then that the barrier came up, preventing him from going back to aid in the fight. When Alex recovered from his daze, he saw exactly what he was afraid of: Marina had lost herself, and was back into that monster-like form she took on when she killed the Tyranny general all those years ago. "Oh no..." The fight going on was pure brutality. "Mister Alex... what's happening to Marina...?" Alex turned to Vashle, who was obviously confused. Alex shook his head and breathed heavily. "It has something to do with those gloves. They respond to her emotions, growing stronger the more intense her feelings get. But when her rage consumes her, Marina... changes. Into this. Like all she wants is the blood of her enemies..." Alex closed his eyes tightly and punched the barrier with extreme force. "Athxson, if you hurt her, I'm going to make you suffer!!!"
  2. Alex watched as Twilight Town fell to Athxson. Oh God... Casshern is still there, too... why would Athxson do something like this? There was little more Alex could do than just bury his face into his hands and sigh heavily. Jason looked on as the destruction continued. I take it that this is the work of that Athxson person... whoever he is, he's definitely no pushover... we're all going to have to be cautious... Alex looked up from his hands. "There has to be something we can do... something to save that place, something to track Athxson?"
  3. Jason's arms remained crossed as he examined Marina. Very kind and trusting... just like her... He thought for a brief moment. Seems like even thousands of years into the future, things never get solved... Nobodies, feathers, wars, powerful Keyblades... this is no different from my time... that means I'm needed here. Jason dismissed his Keyblade, and shook Marina's hand. "Likewise. It seems like you two have bitten off more than you can chew with this one... but if I can offer my skills to be of service in any way, I shall." Jason then turned his head to Alex, who was composing himself. "No hard feelings." Alex looked at the imprint he gave in the castle walls. "Hard feelings? Pfft, of course not."
  4. (well, hopefully if we can keep it up, it will undie.)
  5. Jason paused slightly as he heard Marina's answer. Thousands of years...? I've come much farther through time than I anticipated... I guess this means Quentin and Azura are both long gone, by now... "I see..." he said quietly. He then looked up at Marina. "Neither of us will get anywhere if we don't trust one another, so I'll be honest. Whether you believe me or not, is up to you. "The reason I ask, is because I'm not from here. To be more specific, I'm not from this time frame. Where I come from, the Keyblade War had ended 12 years ago. I had a brother, John, who vanished when I was young. He was possessed by darkness, and sought to bring about the end of all existence, but was brought to his senses and sacrificed himself for a girl: Azura Stargazer. I did not know this, so at the time, I was searching the universe for him. This was two years after the Keyblade War had ended. I came across her here 10 years later, along with a Keyblade Master named Quentin Victor. They told me what had happened to John, but their home, right here, was under attack by Nobodies and an Organization leading them, so I stayed and helped to fight them off and destroy them. This isn't to sound cocky, but this world likely wouldn't have existed if I hadn't stayed behind once to fight them off. When they were all destroyed, I wandered the worlds for a few years without purpose. I then had a vision of the future, where the world was burning, so I sent myself into the Realm of Darkness to essentially time travel. I had no idea it was this far in the future, though." Jason gazed at Marina through his hood. "My name is Jason Halfblood, and that's my story." He crossed his arms. "So, do your history textbooks say anything about that?"
  6. Every generation has its masterpiece. Every so often, a move - no, a piece of art, comes along and forever changes how we view the modern world, and opens our eyes to new and fantastic ways to find enjoyment in our lives. This generation has that piece of art, in the form of an ensemble comedy that has been given the name Movie 43, in the vain hope that us mere mortals can comprehend just what the movie contains. With the movie having been out for some time now, I chose not to see it for I was foolish enough to believe everyone who said it was a piece of shit unlike that which the world has been exposed to, but make no mistake: these naysayers are fools who cannot possibly comprehend the brilliance of this masterpiece. Allow me to explain why, in my comeback review. Keep in mind that this is MY review. Your opinion may very well differ from mine. Though it won't. This move is just that amazing. Story At first this movie might seem like a series of unrelated sketches driven purely by star talent and nothing more, but you can cast those fears aside. Movie 43 tells the compelling story of a man who has written a script for a movie, and is given to a studio executive to look over and decide whether he should approve or not. Those sketches that we are then shown, are actually the script for the movie that is being presented to the studio. Yep, we've got some Inception shit going on here, but Inception could only hope to match the brilliance of Movie 43. Yes, the story may seem simple, but after great thought, I've decided that not only is this not the case, but this may be one of the greatest cinematic stories ever presented, showing that we, the consumers, often have little appreciation for the work that those with millions of dollars do. So quick are we to judge, those with more money, condemning them to being greedy and unoriginal and only caring about money, but this movie dismisses those stereotypes, for once portraying the execs as real, human beings who have their own share of problems to deal with. And for that, I applaud Movie 43 for its ambition that has so clearly payed off. Acting I'm honestly not even going to bother mentioning the cast, because this movie is bursting out the ass with high profile stars. And it is very easy to see why every one of these big name stars would want to be a part of such a masterpiece, as obviously everyone on the planet would be honoured to be a part of it, but these actors do their best to make this movie even better than it already was. I shed a tear, the acting was so beautiful. I dare anyone to find an example of better acting, and for those of you who can, exile yourselves forever, for you are traitors to this fine planet we live on. Presentation Much like any modern masterpiece, it can faulter if not presented in the most graceful of ways. Thankfully, Movie 43 delivers on the presentation side as well, choosing the "sketch comedy" format that only a select few will understand and properly see as majestic. Do not let your eyes decieve you, for this is truely spectacular. I truly have never seen a movie presented so well in my life. From the medium, to the setup, to the score, all the right notes are hit, and played an extra 54398207542095720 times for good measure. Verdict Now, to your surprise, I am not giving this my highest rating of "Awesome!!!" The reason: such a word cannot describe the awesomeness this movie secretes. No word does, but I shall try my best to give a rating that properly conveys this rating. I give Movie 43: THE RATING OF THE GODS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'd normally ask here if you agree or disagree, but seeing as how you all obviously see the brilliance in this movie, we can all agree on this ranking. So I will end it here. baylaust out. Seriously though, Movie 43 was firetrucking garbage.
  7. Alex looked up at Marina, dazed. "HeY, bEaUtIfUl, DiD yOu GeT tHe LiCeNcE pLaTe Of ThAt TrUcK tHaT rAn Me OvEr???" Marina helped him up, and Alex leaned against the wall, still dazed, and gathering his thoughts. Whoever this guy is, he's definitely no pushover... Jason looked at Marina. "We've never met. I'm... not from around here. I recieved a vision of a world burning, set ablaze, with meteors crashing down upon it, and I came here to investigate. I traced the man responsible to Twilight Town, where I found a man who goes by the name Casshern." Before Marina could react, Jason continued. "He was hurt, but it seemed like he would be okay. But anyways, he told me about you two, and told me where to find you." Jason took a step forward, needing to know the answer to his next question. "Now, I have a question for you... approximately how long ago did the Keyblade War take place?"
  8. Jason watched as the spheres and shockwaves headed towards him, cracking his neck. He punched the ground as explosions and shockwaves covered him. When the dust cleared, he was covered by a dome of dark fire. He slowly stood up, and it vanished. Not wasting time, he dashed forward and clashed with Marina. Alex was hanging back, waiting for a prime opportunity to take Jason on. He saw it as he was clashed with Marina. Alex jumped into the air, swinging his own Keyblade, but Jason's hand quickly left his blade and extended towards Alex. A blade of light emerged in his hand, and blocked Alex's strike. Alex's eyes widened. He can control light, too??? Jason shoved Marina away and turned to Alex. The two clashed a few times before Jason overpowered Alex, disarming him. Alex managed to dodge a slash from Jason before getting caught by an uppercut. As he came down, Jason's palm touched Alex's chest, and emitted a blast of dark fire, sending Alex flying into the castle walls, and hitting the ground. Jason turned back to Marina, his blade of light fading from one hand, and his Keyblade pointed at her with the other. "We can keep going or stop now. Your choice."
  9. Jason staggered back as his Keyblade flew back, landing stabbed into the ground a distance away from him, and was hit with a punch. On top of this, his side was still sore from Neena's earlier strike, so as of now, she had the upper hand. This was something he needed to change. He could try to block her next punch with darkness of his own, but he decided that was too risky. So he went with a different approach. As the fist was moments from connecting with him, Jason fluidly moved himself to the right and ducked down. He quickly placed his hand on her abdomen, and sent a blast of light at her point blank. Jason then performed a backflip, landing next to his Keyblade, and kicked it into the air, catching it as it came down. It began glowing with light, and he slashed forward, sending a blade of light hurtling at her quickly.
  10. Jason closed his eyes under his hood and gave a smirk. "Darkness users... that's something I've always hated about users of light, as well as users of darkness... you're all so blind." As Marina dashed towards him with her Keyblade ready to strike, Jason's eyes reopened, and he extended his arm. "I know you two have lost a lot today, but if you won't be reasonable... so be it." Marina's Keyblade never met Jason. It halted right before him, clashing with something else, as light burst out of his hand, then slowly faded. The Two Become One. Alex took a slight step back. "A Keyblade...?" Jason then pushed Marina back, raised his Keyblade to the air, and brought it down to his side. "If those are your terms, I'm happy to oblidge."
  11. *coughs*
  12. So I'm thinking I might come back officially, instead of just for the RPs I'm in. And on another note, I'm not the only one not trusting anything anyone says today, right?
  13. Alex's eyes shifted slightly towards Marina, who was now beside him. "Good question." He turned back to Jason, with no intent to lower his weapon. "I'd be able to answer that if you spoke clearly, or just left." Jason lowered his head, his face concealed by his hood. "Whoever is responsible for that young girl's death is extremely powerful. If you don't get assistance, both of you will meet the exact same fate as her." Alex moved forward. "You don't get to talk about her, you hear me? Now talk or go!" Jason looked up, slightly turning his head to Marina. "And I imagine you're Marina." He turned so that he was looking at both of them. "I don't want trouble, but I advise you stop threatening me." He clenched his fist, and black flames ignited around it, making Alex step back a little bit. "I trust you about as much as you trust me. But if I can tell you anything about me, it's that you don't want me as an enemy."
  14. Alex sat on the edge of the Land of Departure, contemplating everything that had just happened. As much as he was worried about Marina, he knew that right now she needed a bit of space. Now, if only I knew what I needed... Alex buried his hands into his face, sighing heavily. "You're Alex." Alex did a backflip, turning himself in the air, and landed with his Keyblade drawn and pointed at the person who had just arrived out of a dark corridor behind him. The man was definitely older than him, and wore a hood to cover his face. "How do you know who I am?" The man walked forward. "Casshern told me." Alex's eyes narrowed. "Casshern... you better not have done anything to hurt him!" "Relax, he'll be okay." The man crossed his arms. "But that's not important. We have a lot to discuss." Alex kept his Keyblade pointed at the man. "Look, I don't know who you are, but I'm not really in the mood right now. Today's been kind of a rough day-" "I know. Losing a daughter can't be easy." Alex's fists tightened. "Who the hell are you?" "Jason. Jason Halfblood." "Jason, you had better give me a reason to trust you." "Do you have a choice?" "I can think of a couple choices I have!" Alex kept his Keyblade drawn, edging closer.
  15. Alex looked over as Marina walked away, and gave a faint smile. When she was out of view, Alex looked down and breathed out heavily, burying his face into his hands. Even if Marina was doing slightly better now, there was no fooling Alex. She was still extremely emotionally unstable. Not like HE wasn't, but with Marina, it was a far more dangerous thing for her to be in that state. The last time her emotions raged out of control, those gloves made her into... something else. Like a monster. That killed indiscriminately. The only sign that Marina was still in there was a brief moment when she had seen him. If that happened to her again, there was no telling what would happen this time... or what it would take to stop her. Oh boy, this is bad. Really, really bad... . . . Jason looked at the piece of paper. "Land of Departure... I know the place..." He had been there some time ago, when he was searching for clues behind his missing brother. It was there that he met Quentin Victor and Azura Stargazer, and got pulled into their battle. Now, it looked like history was repeating itself. "I'll see what I can do. You're still injured, don't strain yourself. Try to take it easy for a little while... and be safe." Jason examined him closely, reading his facial expressions. Being a closed off individual himself, he was incredibly observant, picking up on details many others would miss, and being able to read people's emotions like a book. "...you couldn't have done anything. He was too powerful. The fact that you are alive is a miracle in itself, don't spend the life you have blaming yourself." Jason then turned around. "Darkness." A dark corridor enveloped him.
  16. The hooded man slowly took the broken picture frame from Casshern, and looked at it. In it he saw Casshern, Alex, Marina, and Lambda. Lambda looks like she couldn't be any older than 8 or 9... and she was able to stand up to whoever did this...? He nodded slowly. "Yes, I'd like that. If the person who did this is as strong as it seems, they'll need all the help they can get." The man looked at Casshern. "And my name is Jason. Jason Halfblood." . . . Alex continued to hold Marina tightly, his hand gently stroking her hair. There wasn't a thing Marina was saying that he disagreed with, but he was still worried about her. The last time her emotions went out of control, the gloves made her react in a dangerous way. A very dangerous way. Alex looked Marina in the eyes. "Breathe... we're going to fix her, we're going to stop Athxson, there's no doubts about that... but you can't lose yourself. We can't afford for that to happen now." Alex then pressed his lips against hers. Despite the intensity of everything going on, despite all the devestating emotions flooding through him, the kiss was calm and gentle.
  17. Alex was still on his knees, tears slowly falling down his face and dripping onto the ground beneath him. His arm slowly moved, holding the locket he made for himself and for Marina, and slowly clicked the side of it, causing the locket to flip open. In it was the picture of him, Marina, and Lambda. Alex looked at it for a moment, then closed it, gripping it tightly. His head slowly moved up, looking at Marina. The look on her face was a mix of several different negative emotions, and Alex knew that he had the exact same expression on his own face. Without wasting another moment, Alex grabbed Marina and pulled her close, hugging her tightly. He didn't know if it was out of love, sadness, anger, or just plain need, but he held her close. His voice was shaking. "Marina... I..." Alex was at a loss for words at what he had just witnessed. "...I don't know how... but we'll set this right... whether it be repairing her, revenge, I don't know and I don't care... we will set this right..." Athxson, you're going to pay dearly for what you've done. I promise you that. . . . The hooded man largely didn't know what this man was talking about, due to him being completely new to this place and time. But he got the important details. Someone extremely powerful had come here and injured him, as well as killing a girl named Lambda and taking something from her. In addition, the names of two people. Alex and Marina. Keeping the cure spell going, if not to heal his wounds, then to at least ease his pain, the hooded man continued. "Do you have a name? And I will do my best to find whoever did this, but I need more information. Who are these, "Alex and Marina?""
  18. Alex smirked at Marina. "Speed? Once again, you know who you're talking to, right?" Alex got ready to dash at her once again. Then a split body appeared in front of the two. Alex was inititaly caught off guard, but everything else immediately didn't matter once he saw who the body belonged to. Lambda. Alex didn't move, even as Marina screamed and ran towards her, cradling her as she slowly began to shut down. Even as Lambda spoke to the two of them, Alex was barely hearing anything Lambda was saying. He just felt stunned, shocked, unable to react, his body paralyzed with dozens of emotions raging through him all at once. He watched Lambda's hand fall, and Marina scream in distress. "...Lambda...?" was all Alex could mutter, quietly. Slowly, he fell to his knees, his head hanging lowly. Tears began falling out of his eyes. Lambda was gone. Maybe they could repair her or do something, he didn't know, but right now, she was gone. The girl who was like a daughter... no, the girl who WAS their daughter, was gone, and that's all that flooded Alex's mind. That one continuous thought. Then Alex's fists slowly began to clench. Athxson.... you've made a grave mistake... . . . The hooded man arrived in Twilight Town, looking around. Not knowing what year it was exactly, he wasn't surprised to see that the town looked far different than how he remembered. Whoever did this, their power isn't here anymore... I need to find clues... maybe someone here has a lead on what happened... He traveled the world for a while before coming on a beach. He saw a large home there, with the door flung open. Seeing this as unusual, he approached the home, and looked inside, seeing large sections of the interior destroyed, and blood everywhere. Without a moment's hesitation, he ran inside, looking around. He saw what appeared to be a man through a hole in the wall, heavily bleeding from what appeared to be a stab wound. He quickly went over to him and knelt down beside him. Light emitted from his right hand, and he placed it on the man's shoulder, casting a cure spell, though unsure it could help a man this wounded. "Stay with me, alright?" Despite the seriousness of the situation, he did his best to remain calm and composed. "If you can, tell me. What happened here?"
  19. Alex took a few steps back, giving a smirk. "Me? Getting rusty? You do remember who it is you're talking to, right?" Alex extended his arm, and his Keyblade materialized, the Hero's Crest. He slowly raised it into the air before resting the blade on his shoulder. "You're too kind. I was gonna offer for you to go first. But hey, if you really want me to be the one to go first..." Alex then dashed forward extremely quickly, clashing blades with Marina. Obviously he wasn't making any kill shots or doing anything that could hurt her, but he wasn't going easy either. . . . In Nova, a blast of light illuminated the immediate area, and the hooded man was there, on one knee, before slowly rising up and observing his surroundings. I've never seen this place before, but I know that whatever this place is, it's too late to save it. At least, for now. Damn near everyone appears to be dead, the world is burning... He closed his eyes for a moment. Whoever was behind this is powerful. Extremely powerful. He held his hand to his chest for a moment. Deepest darkness, show me my enemies... A vision of Twilight Town appeared in his head, and his eyes opened. There. If I can hunt this person there, I can stop them before anything else happens. The man extended his hand forward. "Darkness." A dark corridor appeared in front of him, and he walked into it, vanishing.
  20. Before the two could go into the catacombs, they were ordered back to the Land of Departure, though Alex still wanted to hunt for Athxson and take him down before he got the opportunity to strike once more. Once they arrived, Alex gave his attention to Marina. She was right to be concerned, Alex had to admit. They had faced a lot over the years, but never anything like this, like Athxson and these feathers. He looked down. "Marina..." Alex suddenly looked up again, back at Marina. "No, we're going to win. We're going to beat him." Marina was about to say something, but Alex paused her. "Marina, you and I have been through hell together. All of us have been through hell together. You, me, Leslie, everyone in the Resistance and the Brotherhood have gone through hell and back, and come out in one piece. We've been tortured, broken, given plagues, had friends died, had to fight off armies at a time, but every single time, we came through. Is Athxson powerful? Sure seems like it..." Alex put his arms on Marina's shoulders and leaned closer to her. "...but we're stronger. And that's never in doubt. Never. One way or another, we ARE going to take him down." Alex then gave a smile. "Besides, he's pissed you off. And I genuinely can't think of anyone who's pissed you off that's still alive."
  21. Alex and Marina were running through the city, doing what they could to help out. Hearing a noise, Alex looked up and saw an enormous meteorite heading towards Nova. Alex quickly drew his Keyblade. "Marina, get down!!!" His eyes began to glow blue, and Alex stabbed his blade into the ground. Creating a protective shield that covered him, and as much land around him as he could manage, which sadly wasn't much. The meteorite collided with the ground and engulfed most of Nova in a fiery explosion. Alex opened his eyes, on his knees with his sword stabbed into the ground. The barrier faded, and the two looked around. Nearly all of Nova was obliterated. "Oh my God......" Alex and Marina immediately began running around, trying to find survivors and keep people who were injured alive. As Alex casted a healing spell over a young girl, Alex turned his head slightly towards Marina. "If Athxson is here, then we need to find him, and try to stop him before things get even worse than they are now." . . . His eyes were closed, using his powers to sense the future. He was horrified by what he had seen. A world, somewhere he had never seen before, was burning, on fire, most of its inhabitants killed. There were Keyblade wielders there, but they weren't a match for the opponent they were up against. He rose up from his knees, gathering darkness in his right hand. His mind was made up. He wasn't dead, so the universe still wanted something from him. And if the universe was going to come to that, then it needed his help there, and soon. There was only one way he could think of getting there; the Realm of Darkness, where time passes differently there. Days were years there. If I go, it will be a one way trip... I'm not seeing Azura or Quentin again... Pausing for a moment, he shook his head. No. I will see them again. No matter what. He punched the ground beneath him. "DARKNESS!" And darkness engulfed him. When he could see again, he was in the Realm of Darkness. . . . The hooded man continued walking through the Realm of Darkness. He paused for a moment, and closed his eyes. Light, show me what's going on in your realm... What he saw, was a world burning. Much like he had seen in his initial vision long ago. His eyes shot open. It's happened. Now's the time. Light gathered in his hand, and he punched the ground. "LIGHT!" And light engulfed him.
  22. Jason continued running forward, analyzing his powerful opponent. In a straight up magic fight, we'll balance each other out and get absolutely nowhere. If I want any hope of coming out victorious, I need to get crafty... Just when Jason was about to reach Neena, he used his other hand to send a blast of dark fire at the ground, causing a small explosion, and a cloud of smoke and dust to cloak Neena's vision. As Neena's vision was clouded, Jason vanished for a moment, reappearing behind her. His voice was quiet. "You aren't the only one who can fight dirty..." Jason then swung his Keyblade at her back.
  23. (...helloooooo?)
  24. Alex looked at Marina, a serious look on his face. "Look, you know me better than anyone else. You know I'm generally laid back, like to joke around, take things in stride, point out the fact that we're in an RP that gets more complicated with every single post." He looked down for a moment, then back up. "But if anyone threatens to hurt the people I care about, let alone the girl who has become like a daughter to us, as well as the girl I'm in love with, there's going to be hell to pay." Alex put his hand on Marina's shoulder and gave her a quick kiss on the forehead. "Still, don't worry. If he tries anything, he won't get away with it. Last person who tried to mess with you was Nightmare, and both of us know what happened to him." Alex now had a slight smile on his face. "And if he makes the mistake of going after Lambda, if we don't get to him first, she will. Lambda is the most adorable weapon ever created after all, and as much as she should have a relatively normal life, we both know she can defend herself very well." Alex looked Marina in the eyes. "Best thing we can do at this point is to continue with whatever plans we have, and check in on Lambda every now and then. Maybe let Casshern know so he can be prepared if anything happens. But no matter what, if anything happens to either of you... I'll fight until I'm dead to save you two. Don't forget that."
  25. I just realized yesterday was my 3 year anniversary of joining KH13. Still wonder if I should come back or not...
