  1. Azriel payed attention as Dex explained his reasons for approaching him, finding them to be completely normal and exactly what he had expected. It's not that he thought that Dexter was predictable, but it was simply because it was what Azriel himself would have done in that situation. With Fiora arriving, Azriel had yet another person to focus in on. To Azriel. Fiora seemed to be quite the cheerful yet fickle type who would lose interest in something and move on to something else almost immediately. An example of this would be when she had just started a conversation with Dexter and then switched to waving at her Aunt. However, Azriel was more interested in Dexter's reaction as Fiora brought up that the two of them like each other. While Fiora seemed to laugh it off, Arzriel noticed that Dexter seemed a little off guard with his hand behind his head. It was official, he liked her. Even if he had this knowledge, it would be very unlike Azriel to speak up either way and so he decided to remain silent. Dexter than suggested that he and Fiona show Azriel around instead of sticking with the others and being directed to the cars. Not wanting to be hearded into a car as if he were some kind of sheep in a flock, Azriel was about to take Dexter up on his offer when he noticed the sound of trouble. It appeared that a troublemaker had thrown a rock and cursed at the people who'd arrived off the boat. Seeing Lightning come to the rescue, Azriel followed the figure directly back to the cause of the problem to find a girl around his age with bright blue hair. Noticing that he had somewhat similar hair to her, Azriel's expression changed to that of a curious scholar. Who was this girl who had suddenly appeared and was now caught within Lightning's grasp? The azure haired teen then turned back to Dexter with a nod. "Looks like it might be a good idea to get out of here after all. I am not sticking around to have a rock thrown at me." Almost instinctively, Azriel's hand had grasped it self around the sheathe of his sword, somehow expecting more resistance from the "perfect" townsfolk of Fatefaire. While he had the moment, he decided to ask Dexter and Fiora if they knew who the individual was. "Would either of you know who that blue haired girl who threw the rock was? I want to make sure that I'm... Prepared." Azriel asked calmly, his eyes now darting through the crowd as he seemed slightly on edge from the attempted assault. By just listening to his voice, you would naturally assume that he was calm, but by reading his body language, it was easy to tell that Azriel was being cautious about his surroundings much more than he had been previously, one hand still gripping his sheathe tightly.
  2. LMAO. Still wondering though, I thought Lightning would have gotten over her "big sister troubles" and would have gone back to calling herself Claire Farron?
  3. Okay, this is just my tired brain thinking right now, but!! Say I wanted to create a transfer student who lives in Fatefaire later on in the RP, would that be okay? I was just thinking that because 1) I've only eaten up one character slot. And... 2) I tend to RP better when I have multiple characters at my disposal. P.S. It'd probably be a girl.
  4. Azriel was keeping his cool and getting ready to move on to the next area when he was suddenly confronted by a boy of similar age to himself. Even though he was unable to hear anything the boy was saying due to his earphones, Azriel was fortunate enough to be proficient at lip reading and managed to understand everything that the boy had said. After being told that he was the son of Roxas, Dexter looked away from Azriel and the blue haired teen took notice of this. Taking his headphones out and placing them over his shoulders, Azriel stared at the Dex with his usual stoic face. "I'm aware of who Roxas is. My name is Azriel Nyx. My father was Ienzo, so I know about the members of the Organisation." Somehow, it had begun to occur to Azriel that Dexter might be not be so different to himself as it seemed like they'd found something in common, a disappointment for their fathers. Looking around, Azriel found that a lot of the other people were being quite loud and obnoxious about this meeting, causing the teen's eye to twitch ever so slightly in annoyance. Turning back to Dex, he found that he was much more level headed in comparison to the rest of the common folk of Fatefaire. However, despite the fact he was acting nice, Azriel wasn't about to be sucked into a friendship with a boy he didn't even know, from a country that held all of the heroes responsible for the Organisations downfall. Instead, Azriel did what he knew how to do best. He began to test Dexter psychologically. "I am quite surprised that you are being this forward with me. I naturally assumed that the people who lived here feared us who come from the Forgotten Isles due to our heritage." Being blunt was another one of Azriel's fortes. "So... I'm intrigued to know why you decided to confront me instead of being drawn like a moth to a flame to that mess of human interaction over there?" Azriel asked calmly, pointing with his thumb towards where Vita, Jack, Zeph and the others were.
  5. Why is everyone shipping themselves with Vita?
  6. Hanging around Percy, Azriel somehow felt like he should be showing some kind of example to lead, but he didn't know the first thing about "guiding others" when he could barely control himself. Noticing Percy's reaction to Jack, Azriel could tell that his earlier hunch was correct and there was in fact a deep darkness lurking inside of the boy. The blue haired teen also took note of Kopiu and the signals he seemed to be sending with his body language. It was obvious that he didn't like Azriel. For what reason he disliked the son of Ienzo, he had no idea. It was probably due to the fact that Azriel's father was a cold, calculating and manipulative human being and that Azriel took after him. Even though he himself began to think that he wouldn't manipulate people, he definitely saw the potential to do it within him. After hearing that the boat had arrived, Percy had told him that he would draw Azriel later. In response, the stoic teen nodded silently and gave a small wave before walking off to get his bags. Picking up his stuff, including his sword, Azriel was pleased to finally be able to get off the boat as he wasn't a big fan of transportation over water. Making his way towards the docks the boat had arrived at, Azriel slowly stepped off the boat. The first thing he noticed was that Vanitas had seemed to start a staring competition with his counterpart, Ventus, while their daughters introduced themselves. Looking around, a large number of people had gathered here and Azriel was starting to feel uncomfortable. Plugging his ears with his music, Azriel ducked out of the spot light and stood to the side of the boat where he could get some space to breathe. With the wind blowing his hair over his face, Azriel appeared almost like the mysterious background character that everyone would usually overlook, and that's just the way he liked it.
  7. Azriel stared at Vanitas as he explained that if he allowed the darkness to take over him, then that would just mean that he was weak. Looking away from the black haired adult, the teen gazed out at the ocean to find some kind of answer. If he didn't do something soon, then the darkness within him would grow out of his control and eventually devour him. The only thing that made sense was to become stronger without relying on magic. If he could do this, then he might even be able to control his darkness one day. However, Azriel's thoughts were interrupted as the young Percy approached him with his sketchbook. Tilting his expressionless face down to look at Percy in the eyes, Azriel could feel something emanating from the child that echoed through his mind, screaming danger. The boy clearly had hidden powers and for some reason, Azriel had become intimidated. Nonetheless, he simply nodded when Percy asked if he would like to see his drawings. Gently taking the sketchbook from Percy, Azriel gazed at the boy's drawings and found himself surprised by how talented he was. Trying to force what might have been considered a smile, Azriel handed the sketchbook back to Percy. "Your drawings are not bad. Perhaps some more practice and they will be good as detailed as picture taken from a camera." Azriel then placed a hand to his chin in thought. "I wonder... Have you perhaps drawn everyone on this boat before? I understand that I do not socialise much, but I have been trying to change that lately... Unfortunately, I do not know how to converse with other people " normally". So, in order to become more adjusted to social interaction, would you like to talk with me for a while?" Azriel redirected his gaze to the ocean, already feeling out of his depth when it came to talking to anyone who wasn't in a position of authority over him.
  8. After being woken up by the swaying of the boat, Azriel rubbed his eyes as he was glad to be free of the hellish nightmare. His face remained expressionless as he placed a hand over his forehead. This was not the first time that the boy had been plagued by nightmares. Most nights, Azriel would experience something that you would believe came from a horror movie, but it was an illusion cast by his own darkness. "It's growing stronger..." Azriel mumbled to himself as he ran a hand through his hair. Looking around, he took notice of Jack and Vita getting along while everyone else remained silent. Deciding that it would be best to stretch his legs, Azriel got to his feet and went for a walk on the boat. There wasn't much to the boat as it seemed to be only big enough to transport 100 or so people at a maximum. It wasn't long before Azriel had memorised the layout of the boat and arrived at the front deck. Noticing that Vanitas was "leading the charge", Azriel approached him slowly. "I'm curious about something. Despite the fact that you have a heart made of pure darkness, how is it that you have not become a heartless? Could it possibly be due to the fact that you are only half of one whole?" Azriel's voice was calm and emotionless, just like his facial expression. It was impossible for anyone to have read what was truly going through his mind. The teen then leaked forward on the banister, closing his eyes as the win blew through his hair. "I have one more thing to ask..." Azriel continued to stare out at the ocean as his hands tightened into fists slightly. "Since you can control the darkness, I know you must be able to tell. Is the darkness in my heart taking over? I get the feeling that something inside of me is starting to wake up, and when it does I will not be able to contain it. So tell me now before things become problematic, is the darkness inside me growing?" Azriel looked up at Vanitas with the same emotionless expression and dull tone in his voice, yet it seemed almost emphasised as he was now starting to talk about things that were happening to himself.
  9. Staring at Vanitas as he walked onto the boat, Azriel began to think about what he'd said about Vita's mother. It was Vita's mother's idea for the girl to go to Fatefaire and he could only wonder what kind of person she was. This caused his own train of thought to drift to his own mother. Who was she? Why didn't he know anything about her? Was it possible that he would find out by making this journey? He simply didn't have the answers and this frustrated him slightly. Deciding to leave that thought for another time, Azriel turned his attention to the boat and boarded it carefully. Taking care to stay away from the sides, Azriel decided to the top deck where he was sure he'd remain undisturbed for the remainder of the journey. Lying down across a row of seats with his hands behind his head, the teen closed his eyes and moved his earphones back into place, resuming the music he was listening to. Unfortunately, Azriel's time asleep did not go as smoothly as he had hoped. Looking around, Azriel had found himself led down on the boat, just as he had remembered, but there was something off about the scenery. The clouds were looming, dark and heavy, almost foretelling a thunderstorm despite the fact that it had been sunny only moments ago. Looking at his hands, Azriel had come to an immediate conclusion, nodding to himself to confirm it. He was dreaming. What he was dreaming of was his next question. Sitting up on the dream version of the boat, Azriel looked around before locking his eyes onto something that had not been there previously; a floating Grimoire. "Azriel, why do you shun me so? You know that you want to give into the temptation of using magic like your father intended for you, but you still remain unconvinced. I'm afraid that if you do not submit to your own desires, then we will have to do something about the way that you operate." Azriel narrowed his eyes at the book menacingly, not like the tone in which his own 'tool' was giving him. It was true that he was choosing not to use his magic, but it was also for another reason besides spiting his father. "If I use that power, the darkness will take me. That power that comes from within you, Grimoire, is dark in nature. It cannot be used for anything besides destruction and that is not what I want." "Then let me ask, what is it that you want?" Azriel found himself off guard as he had no answer to counter with. He was a simple teenager with no warrant for anything in particular. It was true that he had wished to be free from his father, but now his wish was granted by moving to a completely different island from him, one in which he was unable to set foot on. His gaze drifted downwards, his hands retreating into his pockets. "Perhaps... I wish to not be alone anymore." "With the power of the Grimoire, something like that will be child's play." "You can try convincing me all you like, I will not submit to the darkness." "For now. But as long as you're sleep... I think I'll mess with your head for a while." Within that moment, the surroundings sank into a deep abyss of darkness, swallowing Azriel whole as he began to hopelessly try to fight against the environment surrounding him. "Until you give into that power, I will haunt your nightmares for eternity." In the real world, Azriel remained asleep on the seats but began to move around restlessly as violent nightmares conjured by his Grimoire plagued him. The world of dreams was no longer a safe haven for Azriel and served as a starting point for his fall into the darkness of his own mind to begin.
  10. Azriel took off his headphones and allowed them to hang as soon as he saw Vanitas approaching. He was unsure as to why the black haired man had come to bother him specifically, but Azriel did not mind that much as he was sure he could hold a mature conversation with him without being interfered by the idiot that was flirting with his daughter. Vanitas had asked Azriel why he was here instead of at home and it left the teen to ponder the question himself. Speaking softly and quietly, Azriel came up with a suitable answer to the perplexing question. "I believe this program presents a good opportunity for me to further my study about whether or not the people of Fatefaire truly have a right to imprison us on this island. If by some chance that those that are waiting for us can see that we're not all evil, then perhaps they will grant us more privileges when it comes to relocating." This answer was nothing more than excuse to Azriel. Although it may have been true, his greatest reason for leaving was so he would no longer remain under his father's influence. Sighing gently before looking up at Vanitas, Azriel had come up with a question of his own. "Might I ask why Vita would want to go to Fatefaire? I believe its only fair that I ask you that question since you asked of me the very same thing." Azriel then awaited Vanitas' answer, hoping he at the same time that he would unleash the man's wrath should he say anything unpleasant about his daughter.
  11. Okay, so currently my time zone is GMT + 10:30 hours. The current time, right now, is 11:05 AM.
  12. Azriel sighed to himself as Jack seemed to be seeking Vita's attention. Putting a hand to his chin, the blue haired loner observed Vita in order to find out exactly why it was that she seemed interesting. This was something that Azriel did quite often when he was bored, judging people by their appearances and body language in order to discover the motives of others. Gazing at the black haired girl in thought, Azriel noticed that although she was the daughter of the terrifying Vanitas, Vita was quite attractive. Of course, this was only a mental note to himself in which he knew he would never act on, but he could understand Jack's motives at least. In his eyes, Vita seemed to be quite positive and kind, causing Azriel to frown in confusion at how such a nice girl could be the daughter of "Mr. Negativity" himself. Even his name was dark and depressing. Turning his attention towards the water, Azriel then noticed the boat that was on it's way to the pier to pick everyone up from the Island and take them to the city of Fatefaire. Putting his hands in his pockets, the teen began to wonder what kind of things would be waiting for him on the other side. Would he be welcomed with open arms? Would the heroes who owned the land abuse him for being the son of a villain? There were so many uncertainties and these put Azriel on edge. He imagined that he and his "acquaintances" would probably not be welcomed kindly and most likely be ridiculed as soon as they set foot off the boat. There was no way to know for certain, but he would always assume the worst possible situation before anything else. At least with the insight to foretell if things would go south he would have some time to prepare for such a situation while on the boat. Adjusting his bag, Azriel slowly made his way toward the front of the pier, possibly drawing unwanted attention to himself. However, he came to the conclusion that there was no way to avoid this and decided to think of responses should any of the others decide to talk to him before the boat were to arrive.
  13. This is so awkward... It feels like I'm in a different timezone to everyone else in this Rp. Anyway, I'm not too fussed over shipping my "Smart-attractive-Loner" character, so feel free to mingle. *just hoping to get noticed by anyone at this point*
  14. Approaching the docks, Azriel noticed that there quite a few people there already, people that he'd recognised from the town. Even though Azriel knew who they were and was aware that they all knew each other, he was doubtful that any of them knew who he was. Due to his fathers strict tutelage, Azriel's activities were heavily restricted. While he was aloud to freely leave the house, he made sure not to talk to anyone. Ienzo believed that connections to other people were a weakness and were not needed in order to become strong. Having no other examples to follow, Azriel went along with what his father believed. Even after declaring that he would no longer be a mage, he still refused to talk to others as he saw it more as a bother than a hindrance. Its not that he couldn't make friends, its that he just thought it would be easier if he didn't. Now that Azriel had entered a situation where he was surrounded by people, assumingly all going on the same boat as himself, he came to the conclusion of what he should do next. Almost ignoring the entirety of the ranting coming from Jack and James, Azriel rested his back against a nearby wall in order to not involve himself in the conflict. Looking around, he took note of everyone near the docks, including Vita and her father Vanitas. If Azriel were to enter a fight with any of the people that had gathered, he was sure that it would be very tiring and annoying. The teen had no doubt in himself, believing that he could easily defeat them if he used magic, but then grew annoyed with himself as he still somehow considered using magic to defeat his enemies. Instead, Azriel decided that it was better not to make enemies, friends or any kind of social concept. He just stood there in the background, waiting for when the boat would arrive and trying not to draw attention to himself.
  15. Waking up early with every intent of leaving as soon as possible, Azriel headed to the lounge in his house in order to grab a bite to eat. Knowing that this would be his last day in the house, Azriel decided to stock up on snacks that help pass the time on the ferry ride from the Forgotten Isles to Fatefaire. Listening to music through his earphones, Azriel usually kept himself at a distance from everything that was going on around him, including the fact that his father had just walked into the room. "Azriel." The blue haired teen looked over his shoulder as he raided the fridge to meet the eyes of Ienzo, formerly known as Zexion. "I understand that you'll be going to Fatefaire today. All I wish to say is for you to not neglect your studies on magic and that I will not accompany you down to the docks." Typical. Azriel nodded to his father understandingly as Ienzo then left his son to his own devices. It was like this everyday in the Nyx household. Azriel understood that his father did not truly care for him as a son and he had simply grown accept it. Even though he'd now developed a similar coldness that his father displayed, Ariel was still defiant to his father by choosing to use a sword than his magic. Making some toast, Azriel headed back up the stairs to get the last of his things from his bedroom in preparation for the move. Throwing the bag with all of his clothes in over his shoulder, Azriel made sure to pick two other things before he left the house. The first was the sword that he had been training with over the course of the last two years, something he'd grown awfully attached to despite he was supposed to be a mage instead of a warrior. Azriel strapped the short sword to his waist as he then approached the next thing to do on his agenda. The second item that the boy picked up was a large book that decorated with silver around the edges and a large crest on the front. This book was Ariel's Grimoire, containing all of his valuable magical abilities and without a second thought, he threw the Grimoire out the window. Now that he had gotten and abandoned everything he'd needed, Azriel left his house without even a second look to see if his dad was watching. Walking through the streets and heading straight to the docks, Azriel turned up the volume on his earphones, not wanting to be bothered as he prepared himself for what might await him in Fatefaire.
  16. So, do you have an ETA on when the RP thread will be posted?
  17. You see it's bad because there's be no guys left. But on the other hand, lesbians everywhere.
  18. And thus begins the extinction of all male humans...
  19. (Everytime I think of the Forgotten Isles, I think about the Shadow Isles in the League of Legends universe. ) Name: Azriel Nyx Age: 17 Gender: Male Appearance: Parent(s): Ienzo (AKA Zexion) Abilities/Powers: Azriel is a powerful mage with the ability to unleash many different kinds of magic with the help of his Grimoire. A Grimoire is a type of magical book that can withhold all of the spells and incantation that a particular mage has accumulated over the course of their life. These spells can range from Defensive and Supportive to straight out Offensive. The more knowledge that Azriel acquires about magic, the stronger he becomes. However, he does have a limit to how much magic he can use in one go (He basically has a mana limit, but because he's a trained mage, he usually won't reach that limit unless he uses a really powerful or dangerous type of magic like Ultima or Holy). Azriel also self trained himself in the art of using a blade for other reasons. Being proficient enough to at least hold his own with a sword, he uses his calculating mind to find openings in his opponents and strikes them down with precision while doing so with the least amount of effort possible. Personality: Cold. Calculating. Strategic. Passive. Can be quite arrogant but he's usually just indifferent to everyone. He can also become annoyed or even angry if people try too hard to pry into his past. Enjoys his own company and would much rather remain on his own, peacefully, than be dragged into an annoying social situation with other people. Bio: Azriel was raised by his father on the Forgotten Isles with no knowledge of his mother or any indication as to who she might be. However, young Azriel had very little opportunities to worry about anything other than how his father viewed him. Being a young mage, Azriel was taught many lessons by his cold, and seemingly "heartless" (Lol!), father about how to manipulate magic at the most fundamental levels. Azriel even surpassed his fathers expectations when he was even mastering magical spells that would have taken Ienzo weeks to master in only a few days. However, Azriel soon began to realise that he was only a pawn in his father's war against the people belonging to the light, becoming only a tool that would probably only be discarded in the future. In order to distance, himself from his father, Azriel decided to throw away his Grimoire and take up the path of the sword. Not wanting to be his father's pawn, Azriel decided to leave the Forgotten Isles and head towards Fatefaire in order to start his life over. However, despite throwing it away, Azriel's Grimoire consistently reappears in seemingly random places, just waiting for him to slip up and fall back into the darkness of wanting to use his overwhelming magical ability.
  20. Sorry. I was never really big on Digimon so I only know the general outline of what its about. Thanks for the offer though.
  21. Okay, so I've been bored lately with nothing to jump into Rp wise, so you mind if I jump in? I'm thinking of making a character with villain parents, but feels ashamed of his heritage, making him a bit of a loner. I just don't know who the parents should be. Zexion, Saix or even Sephiroth is kind of tempting though.
  22. Yeah~ Seems like that ship has Sailed. I'm not a fan of joining an Rp mid way through as I usually get lost and feel like I'm ruining the chemistry that's already going. As for my own Rp, I guess I could if I can think of a good enough idea off the top of my head. But odds are I shouldn't as almost every Rp I've started crashed and burned before really getting off its feet.
  23. Hmmm~ I'm in interested in Roleplaying again, but I don't see anything that I'm interested in right now. What to do...?
