  1. Roxas chuckled softly. "Your enthusiasm is encouraging," he commented lightly. Was she that excited to workout with him? Things had been pretty...intense so far, but not so much in the exercise department. Lightning lifted an eyebrow slightly but otherwise let it go. They did come here to exercise after all. "Sure. Spot me?" she asked. Of course, she would spot him as well. That was what workout partners did.
  2. Roxas's lips spread into a smile upon hearing Namine's voice. "Yeah," he answered with a nod. "C'mon, workout buddy." He led her back toward a few machines they would use now. Of course, "buddy" wasn't a good word to use after his talk with Riku. Good job, Roxas. Lightning watched Roxas and Namine for a moment before her eyes fell on her workout partner. His sharp features expressed determination, but she wasn't sure why. Regardless, she let herself stare. He was handsome, and strong...but gentle and kind. As if she could turn him down.
  3. Roxas looked over at Riku at the nudge, but then he gently shoved the older boy, smirking. "You too," he replied. Riku needed to take his own advice. Lightning was a good person, and he wasn't blind--she was attractive. But...she was no Namine. He started toward the blonde girl, ready to continue their workout. Lightning smiled slightly and nodded. "Right," she said. She would keep that in mind. For so long she focused on Serah's happiness and future, neglecting her own. She needed to change that.
  4. At Riku's words, Roxas silently agreed. He couldn't deny that he and Sora were alike in certain aspects; they were part of each other, after all. But...Roxas didn't care. Namine was important to him, just as Kairi was important to Sora. Roxas liked to think that Sora's connection with Kairi had little influence on his feelings for Namine. He wanted those to be his own. Lightning sensed more behind that statement, but she wouldn't pry. It wasn't any of her business. She looked toward the guys, lifting an eyebrow slightly at Roxas's expression. "He's waiting for you," she told the girl softly. "And still can't keep his eyes off you. Riku and I caught him admiring you when we walked in." It was...cute. Not pervy, like Lightning herself had to deal with when it came to gym members.
  5. Roxas's eyes softened as he gazed at the blonde girl. Castle Oblivion. He had only heard stories about Namine's time there, though he had been once himself. That hadn't lasted long due to a piercing headache at the time. Regardless, he knew what loneliness Riku spoke of with Namine. "Anything I can do to make her smile," he admitted lowly. Riku could call him a sap, but...it didn't matter. Namine did. Lightning looked to the blonde girl. "Oh...uh," she started, "thank you." She and Riku did vibe pretty well together. He understood her, and she understood him. Of course they had a lot to do as far as getting to know each other, but...she looked forward to it. "As for you and Roxas, don't feel pressured. Go at your own pace. He doesn't seem like the type to push you into something you don't want." Which was good. Namine seemed delicate, and Roxas recognized that.
  6. "Yeah..." Roxas agreed softly. He looked toward where Namine was, noticing Lightning for the first time. The pink-haired girl seemed a bit flustered all of a sudden, but...Namine looked sad. Was that because of him? Lightning cleared her throat, avoiding Namine's gaze. "Um..." She wasn't sure how to respond. Did she admit to having feelings? Was she obvious too? She guessed it made sense, since she and Riku had gone on multiple dates, but still... Oh no...
  7. Roxas smiled sheepishly. He couldn't exactly deny that. If only Riku and Lightning had caught him with Namine earlier. That was definitely intimate. And intense. "I didn't think we were as bad as Sora and Kairi..." he admitted, eyebrows furrowing. Those two were pretty bad, but...maybe he and Namine were farther along than those two. Lightning's smile softened. "Have you told him?" she asked softly. Namine could take initiative; guys didn't always have to make the first move. Then again, she probably should have been taking her own advice; she didn't do much as far as Riku was concerned. She looked over towards him and Roxas, her smile remaining.
  8. Roxas blinked. “The only one who has feelings?” he asked, surprised. So he wasn’t seeing things! Naminé liked him like that? Romantically? “You serious?” He wasn’t sure if he had just been hopeful and so that affected how he interpreted things, but... “Uh huh,” Lightning agreed, a hand on her hip. “Feel stronger. Like...in your feelings for Roxas.” Lightning could spot that from a mile away.
  9. Roxas rolled his eyes and crossed his arms. “Way to ruin it,” he grumbled. He and Naminé had been having a moment. Granted, the gym wasn’t entirely romantic. But... Lightning caught Naminé at the water fountain. The girl looked a bit flustered. She smiled slightly. “Hey, how’s the workout going?”
  10. Roxas fought the urge to slap his forehead at Riku’s words. Once Naminé started away, he punched his friend in the arm. “Dude!” he whined. What was he doing?! He was embarrassing Roxas!
  11. Roxas jumped slightly when Riku showed up, his hand coming back from Naminé’s chin and instead to rub the back of his neck. His friend’s whisper had his face burning. Was he that obvious? And he knew he wouldn’t get anywhere just looking at her, but she was just so pretty... “Uh...” Roxas tried. “We were just...doing triceps.” But then they got distracted.
  12. Roxas smirked. He lifted his hand and lightly touched the underside of her chin. “You did. You saved my life,” he reminded her. She guided him to his proper place. Well, proper place at the time. He definitely owed her for that. He took in the lack of space. Coupled with how amazing she looked right now, Roxas wanted to kiss her. And the thought made his heart swell.
  13. Lightning jerked her head toward him. "Go on. I'm gonna go warm up," she told him. She stepped past Riku, patting him on the chest as she did. She felt his pecs through even that small touch. She was never going to complain about his physique, that was for sure. Lightning made her way across the floor, glancing at the blondes out of the corner of her eye. Good luck, you two. That giggle made Roxas grin. "'Course. I owe you for all you did for me before my show at the festival," he said, taking a step closer to her. Did personal space even exist with them? Not really. Not anymore, at least. Roxas didn't mind though, not at all.
  14. Lightning kept her hand in Riku's for a moment as she looked up at his handsome face. There was a gleam in his eyes. Was that because of her? "It's a date," she agreed softly. She remembered that even the idea of a date startled her, but now she loved it. Riku made dates worthwhile. Giving his hand a small squeeze, she released him. "Now, are you going to give Roxas a hard time for gawking at Namine? He's less discreet than he used to be." Roxas nodded. "Whatever you need," he swore. He wasn't sure exactly how he could help, but he would do his best. Namine, without knowing it, helped him with his own projects; she was his inspiration. He wouldn't admit that, though. Not yet anyway.
  15. Lightning gazed at Riku for a moment as she thought about it. Truthfully, she didn't really care as long as she got to see him. He made her soft, which was slightly unnerving, but it excited her at the same time; she'd never felt this way with someone before. "Same thing," she told him, still holding her hand out for him to shake. "Either way, we get what we want. Agreed?" Roxas kept his place in front of Namine, still standing relatively close. "Speaking of," he said of her art, "I haven't watched you draw for a while. We should do that soon." It was something so simple, but...it made him happy. Watching Namine work always inspired him in a way too. There was always the added plus of spending time with her, too.
  16. Lightning found that smile exceptionally attractive. It made hers widen. "Deal," she said, holding out her hand for him to shake. That was fine with her. Besides, it meant more time with Riku. As if she would say no. She was awfully curious as to how good he was with a sword. Since she wielded a gunblade herself, she could definitely use the help. Roxas smiled a little. "You just have to get used to it," he explained. "It gets easier, I promise." Not that Namine had anything to worry about; they weren't on a time crunch. True, she didn't wield any weapon, but she didn't need to. Xehanort was gone, as were the threats to the worlds. Roxas would keep her safe even if there was danger. He wouldn't leave her unprotected.
  17. Lightning's crooked smile returned. "Depends," she told him, hands going to her jacket as she unzipped it and started to take it off for her workout. "What do you want?" They could do more small secrets between them, like they had done previously--his being a swordsman and her admitting to using an alias. But that was up to Riku. Roxas stood in front of Namine and watched her form again, lifting his hands to keep her arms where they were meant to be. His skin just barely skimmed hers as he watched the weight go above her head and then behind it, the two of them working on triceps now. "Good," he praised lowly. She was doing great.
  18. Lightning looked up at her companion. "Should we make another bet?" she asked, lifting a brow. They did that often, but it was all in good fun. And that was the thing--ever since meeting Riku, Lightning actually had fun. He brought out that side of her, a side she never knew existed until he found her. He was a blessing to her if there ever was one.
  19. As Roxas went on to show Namine another exercise, Lightning tilted her head. "Hm. I give them a month. Maybe two," she replied. It was obvious to everyone how much they were into each other, except for the two themselves of course. "But they better get a move on. They have admirers." Guys ogled Namine, while multiple females in the room did the same to Roxas. The blondes, however, only had eyes for each other.
  20. "More arm stuff," Roxas said with a faint shrug. They had to stick to a schedule, especially since they were just getting into this. Doing full-body all at once would be overkill. "I'll show you a few more exercises and then I'll join you." For now, he would observe to make sure she was doing everything correctly. With Namine, he was never selfish. Lightning walked into the gym beside Riku, smirking up at him due to his witty comeback just now. The conversation, however, was over; she'd let him have this one. She pulled her hair back into a ponytail, eyes darting over the gym to see just how occupied it was. She nudged Riku gently. "Roxas and Namine?" she checked softly. She hadn't seen them in here for a while. And by the looks of things, Roxas enjoyed his view.
  21. Roxas crossed his arms over his chest and nodded with a crooked smile. "Perfect," he complimented. Not just her form, but....her. Namine was amazing. Beautiful, kind, selfless, compassionate, patient... So many things. How couldn't anyone fall in love with her? Roxas caught himself doing it more and more each day. The only issue was if those feelings were reciprocated. He didn't want to ruin their friendship; he cherished it far too much. Based on her response to his closeness just now, however, Roxas figured he had a fighting chance.
  22. Roxas stood there, taking in the moment. Was Namine alright with this? Because, to him, this felt right. They felt right. He smiled ever so slightly, letting her expression burn into his memory. He wouldn't forget it for some time. Roxas let his hand fall from Namine's elbow, the fingers curving around her hip gently squeezing there before he backed off. He stepped over to the side so she could follow his instructions. And so he could cool off. Roxas wanted nothing more in that moment than to wrap her in his arms and never let her go.
  23. Roxas set a hand back on Namine's hips. The other trailed up her side and then along her arm. "Elbows in close," he instructed lowly, holding that part of her body gently. "Hold them here when you curl." His eyes roamed her figure while he was so close, a few strands of her blonde hair tickling his cheek. Roxas lifted his gaze to Namine's in the mirror. The look on her face dazzled him.
  24. Keeping his eyes locked on Namine's, Roxas moved one of his hands to her lower back. "Straighten here a bit," he said, using his other hand to gently press against her stomach to straighten her back. He did this delicately but firmly, confident in his gestures. Even after running on the treadmill, she still smelled amazing. She felt amazing. He tilted his face toward her, his nose skimming her ear. "Like this."
  25. Roxas chuckled lowly as he watched her. "You'll get used to it," he assured her. After a minute of observation, he noticed Namine's form was incorrect. "One second. You need to adjust a little." He stepped up behind her, his heart rate increasing at being so close to her. He boldly placed his hands on her hips, his calloused fingertips brushing the skin of her stomach slightly. "Just position yourself a bit more this way..." he mumbled in her ear, moving her hips with his hands so she was standing more square with her feet. Roxas's blue eyes darted to the mirror they stood in front of, seeing their position reflected back at them. They...looked good together.
